One of the best pizzerias in Bangalore !! Would definitely go another time to try out their pizza on fire. The signature garlic bread is a show stopper, must try !!! We tried stuffed garlic bread with chicken and sun dried tomatoes, roasted lamb pizza and ended with an earthy lavender tea. Also, the ambience is so insta friendly! 😋😋
You ask anyone which is the best pizza place in Bangalore, and there’s a higher chance than not they’ll say ‘Pizza Bakery’. So after a long wait, I finally dropped in shortly after the lockdown was lifted to find out what all the hype was about.
Located in the happening 12th Main of Indiranagar, you’re gonna have to negotiate a pretty strait stairway that could knock your head in case you’re not careful enough, to get to the restaurant area. Coming to the ambience of the restaurant itself, the indoor dining area looks and feels charming with a live pizza kitchen although it was mostly crowded by delivery guys waiting for their orders (this place is a hit for takeaways). We chose to sit on the rooftop area upstairs, which was again pleasant and quaint, but the dimness of the lighting made it feel borderline abandoned. Not to forget the famed full wall painting of Mona Lisa with a beer moustache.
Finally coming to the food, here’s what we ate-
For starters,
TPB Chicken Wings Aglio Olio Parmesan- tender chicken wings with some really scrumptious garnishings- really liked this one but was a little heavy on the oil.
Butter Garlic Prawns- prawns were well cooked and tasted good and came with focaccia on the side. Again could’ve done with a little less oil.
Classic Stuffed Garlic Bread with Jalapeños- a signature of this restaurant, it tasted unique and of course tasted great!
Coming to the mains and pizza course itself, we had
Peri Peri Chicken Pizza- with a crispy wood fired crust as expected and equally good toppings, safe to say this quite lived up to the hype of the place.
Spinach & Ricotta Ravioli- the ravioli was nice and well cooked, and though it came with Arrabbiata sauce and I personally like white sauce to go with my raviolis, it tasted on point for what it was.
Sadly couldn’t try any more of their renowned pizzas as we were too full by now and moved on straight to desserts-
Traditional Tiramisu- any Italian meal is incomplete without this and once again, The Pizza Bakery did not disappoint. As divine as it could get, this one sure was a winner.
Brookie a la Mode- a nice big piece of warm chocolate brownie served with vanilla ice-cream, chocolate sauce and roasted almonds- this too tasted as good as it looked, and had me coming back for more.
While the food was fairly delicious across the board, it was the desserts that stole the show, with both their quality as well as quantity being at their very finest.
The service was also just fine and nothing to complain about at all. Price-wise too, the place is quite picket friendly, even for its own locality.
Would definitely like to be back and try more of their pizzas, and of course devour their mouth-watering desserts😋
We usually order pizza from the pizza bakery to our house, but the other day we decided to go. I really liked their rooftop terrace ambiance. It was great for our 1.5-year-old to run around freely. Everything was good but one area to improve would be the service. Our server must have been new because he kept telling us they don't have items, but they actually do! He told us there is no nutella pizza dessert (it's called nutella sourdough on the menu, but he didn't put 2 and 2 together). But the worse part for this waiter is when we asked is there is risotto he said no, but then told us a place up the road where we can order risotto! Could've been a very easy way to lose business, but we stayed. And finally, as a vegan, I was excited about the vegan cheese, but I don't think coconut cheese does the trick. It gives a sweet flavor to the pizza which doesn't really work well in my opinion. But bravo for adding vegan options :) Also, I would love to see a Marinara pizza added to the menu. I have tried the Pizza Rosso and prefer the Marinara version that Brik Oven serves.
Okay wow! This place! I have no words! We have been visiting and ordering from this place at least once a week. They use real cheese, not the weird cheese flavoured sauce you get from other places. Everything here is perfection! My favourite has always been their Hellboy. Try it! Its the best pizza in Bangalore!! Hey Pizza Bakery, please don’t change!
Went twice to this eatery in last 1 month & loved the flavors of the food. Staff was very polite as well as courteous, hygiene standards maintained & showcased by the team. Would highly recommend the place to diners.
I've had the best pizzas here, their beers and pizzas are just the best combination one could really ask for.
Great Food and Fresh Food with very Courteous team
great great pizzas. The toppings are Generous, the pizza is juicy and really tasty. It’s well presented and the ambience is nice as well.
Authentic Italian fare, food is tasty, ambience is tasteful. One of the best wood fired pizzas in the city
I just love their classic garlic bread! Just so yumm with the caramelised onions hidden under the folds and not to forget the dip that comes along, the best I have ever eaten, period! Also, their pizzas are great too, especially since they are made with sour dough, it's healthier and tasty 😊 Would definitely recommend this place for all the pizza and garlic bread lovers😊
New BEL Road is hub of eateries & this is another one added to the list of places to go have some yummy food. Right on the 80 feet road in front of Milano is the location. Great staff who are very courteous and some amazing food. Was not planning to have non-veg food so tired a few veg options. Very tasty and we loved it. Not too spicy and creamy but was mouth watering. Italian food was a delight…. Don’t miss this.
It's a great place to hangout with friends and family. All the food items here are good but the alcohol is limited to only beer here. Valet parking is available but it will be crowded on weekends. In fact it was too crowded that we couldn't get a table at the roof. The sourdough pizza and stuffed garlic bread is good here with other starters and they are all priced fairly. Overall I would visit this place again anytime.
I mean I can assure you pizzas you get here must be as good as you get in Italy or in USA.
Their pizzas are too good. Tasty simple and delicious. I think rather than putting it in words I would recommend you to visit The pizza bakery while you are in Bangalore.
Also they serve beer from TOIT so that’s icing on the cake
I have been to multiple outlets of The Pizza Bakery and I love them all! The highlight here is that the food is consistently good across all outlets.
The pizzas here are some of the best in Bangalore. Love their pizza menu, the garlic breads and their desserts.
The Nutella bread with almond flakes is one of the most innovative and delicious things you can eat here.
Each time the food comes in front of me, I am too busy eating that I miss taking pictures. These are some of the few pics I have managed to collect.
Visited "The Pizza Bakery" for team lunch.
Ambient was pleasant and pizza was definitely worth trying.
Decent variety of options for vegetarians.
The service was prompt.
Parking on church street will be challenging.
NOTE: We visited the branch in Church Street. For some reason, I could not find the branch in google map.
One of the best Garlic cheese breads I've ever ate. Top quality bread and even the pizza bread was so good. Mac and Cheese with Jalapeno worth tasting. Definitely recommend!
Best pizzas in town !!
The pizza here is truly authentic and absolutely delicious. It captures the true essence of authentic pizza, offering a flavorful experience that’s hard to find elsewhere. The flavors are rich and genuine, making every bite a delightful experience. If you're a fan of real, authentic pizza, this place is a must-visit.
This place has the best stuffed garlic breads and sourdough pizzas. Must visit if you are a Pizza Lover!
Lovely food here...the stuffed garlic bread is just out of the world - I still can feel the lingering taste. We had diablo pizza - though it said bird's eye chilli as a topping I couldn't really find it but the taste was still top notch.
The Pizza Baker truly impressed with its innovative flavors and quality. The sourdough stuffed garlic bread was a delightful start, boasting a unique texture and a rich garlic infusion.
The Peri Peri French fries and the onion rings in the menu were a crispy sensation, perfectly spiced for a kick. The main event, a 12-inch Farmer's Chimichurri Pizza, exceeded expectations. The blend of fresh ingredients and the zing of chimichurri created a heavenly experience. The addition of Burrata cheese was a game-changer, introducing a burst of creamy goodness that elevated the pizza to new heights.
Although when we went, we couldn’t get kombuchas for our drinks which was the sad part.
The overall dining experience at The Pizza Baker was a perfect harmony of textures and flavors, making it a must-visit for pizza enthusiasts.
