the pristine white walls with a few tasteful b&w prints. the impeccable service. and the fabulous food - starting with the delicious, refreshing sol kadi! an awesome experience! each dish was perfect and we ordered home delivery today for lunch:) i think we found our new favorite kitchen
Super tasty.. Awesome food.. Loved dining.. Will come again for sure... Must try
Fantastic food.. great service makes this place.. highly recommended, probably has to be my top costal food place I have been. Will surely come back.
Really happy we chose this place to celebrate a birthday. The seafood is really fresh, spice levels just perfect! One of the few coastal speciality restaurants with a good variety of options for vegetarians as well. Decor has a very authentic old Bangalore feel :) Kudos to the friendly staff too!
Very homey, great food and hospitality!
The smoothest ghee roast I've had (in terms of texture)
Enjoyed the crab ghee roast😋 but the squid chilli could've been a little less garlicky.
A very pleasant dining experience, would definitely visit again! :)
I had visited this restaurant today and it was worth every bite. The fish was well cooked and crispy. Not too deep fried yet not too raw. The perfect balance. The Staff was very friendly and helped achieve whatever we asked for.
The only thing that needed to improve was the price quantity ratio. We had to order more to satisfy our hunger. Other than that, it was spectacular.

So it's rare that I don't have food photos of a place. But it is probably also a testament to two things - 1) How hungry I was 2) How great the food was. Yes, both these conditions need to be true for me not to have ANY photos of the food! But I think I can describe it just as well. Now that we have established this place has good food, let me get straight down to recommendations:
1. Prawn Ghee Roast - hands down the best in the city right now. The quality of prawn is excellent, and the masala is home made - so while it's rich and yummy, it's easy on the stomach. Have this with neer dosa, and you're sorted.
Tip: On Thursdays, they have a Buy 1- Get 1 on prawn dishes.
2. Tawa Fry and Masala Fry (of available fish) - The catches are fresh, and this is a usual order for us, safe and good.
3. Prawn Ambotic Thic - A konkan special sour and tangy curry, I like this with red rice.
4. Pork Bafat - it's a Mangalorean catholic prep, and can be eaten stand alone or with sanna.
5. Mangalorean Egg Chili - you'd think what's special about it, but this is totally delicious.
Great food, great offers and great service. Thumbs up!
Ambience is great and good crowd. Co-ooerative staff. Yerlio fish wasn't fresh but prawns items were really good. Must try their Prawns ambotic curry along with the kokum juice. Good place for some simple konkani food. Satisfies your sea food cravings.
Nice location near church street. Restaurant has good variety of coastal dishes. Rava fried prawns were really good. Ambot tikh prawns curry is good. Prices are a bit on expensive side but worth a try if you love seafood.
I have to this place recently and loved the taste of fish prepared with mangalorean style. Kundapur chicken was the best among all. Ambience is very pleasant. Only thing that can be improved is service time. Definitely looking forward for lobsters.
Great restaurant to satisfy your Mangalorean food cravings 😄😄 The sea food is fresh and to die for 👌🏻 all you chicken lovers the chicken Uruwal is a must try and for a perfect sweet ending the ragi manni 🙌🏻 Go check these guys out I promise you won’t regret it 😎

'The Konkan-Seafood restaurant' in Church street serves one of the best coastal dishes in the city. With a cozy ambiance and hospitable staff, and a view of the bustling streets of Church street, this place gives you a perfect afternoon feel to feast on.
We went there on a Saturday afternoon. For appetizers, we ordered the Surmai green masala and Coorgi Pork with Neer Dosa as accompaniments. The taste of the Surmai was indescribable. Quite rarely have I tasted a fish so well cooked. A tangy flavor of the lemon juice and a perfect marination of coriander leaves, this slow cooked fish fry just melts in your mouth.
The Coorgi Pork again was perfect, especially in this monsoon. Decadent, slightly spicy pork pieces with just the right amount of chewy. This is a lip smacking dish I recommend everyone to try out.
For the main course, we had the Kundapur chicken with a side of boiled rice. From the land where the chicken ghee roast has originated, Kundapur chicken did not fail to marvel us. Cooked in a variety of spices with ground coconut in the gravy was a delightful combination with the boiled rice. And I suggest you let go of the spoon and taste this delicious meal with your bare hands. It takes you on a ride back to the essence of ethnic Konkani/ Mangalorean tribes.
We also had the Kokum juice as beverage. It was quite an refreshing drink to go with the entire set of meal.
All in all, albeit a bit pricey, Konkan is a place I'd definitely wish to visit twice especially to taste their varied range of fish fries again.
Great place for Coastal mangalore cuisine! The white pomfret fish fry seems to have left a positive impression. Combining Neer dosa with prawn ghee roast sounds like a delightful choice, offering a blend of coastal flavors. Additionally, the boiled rice paired with silver fish curry adds a diverse touch to the meal. Overall, it seems like a satisfying culinary experience with a range of well-prepared seafood dishes.
Succulent with just the right amount of bite, *butter garlic prawns* are perfect here.
*Prawn tawa fry* however was a total disappointment. The intense red masala coating was tasteless and spicy. Masala should be more than just red chilli powder!
Place is small but the ambience is pleasant. Staff is helpful and service was quick. Will return to try other dishes.
The best place to have the best Mangalorean flavour. The must try is Chicken Pepper Fry with Parotta. The vibe is so calm and wonderful.
This place serves the best Manglorean cuisine in Bangalore. Delicious food & Good vibes of Manglorean & Goan songs.
The food was super fresh, a total go-to for seafood lovers. You gotta try the squid butter garlic . And, the caramel custard was just 😋.
This place is amazing. Prawns are soft, Fish is also soft and easy to eat. Lots of variety too. Service is blazing fast. You will get your meal back to back to back. Atmosphere is also nice. Very clean and nice. The put a paper sheet and coasters on the tables so that you can’t make a big mess. Very nice staff.
Well cooked food, pricy dishes but a must try if you are a fish and sea food lover.
The ambience has a rustic old school charm, good for family and friends catchup.
The butter garlic prawns and the Rawa Pompfret were extremely well cooked.
The Kokum is a must try for sure!
We hopped into the Konkan searching for (hopefully) goan food, and while we may not have gotten goan food, we were pleasantly surprised by the brilliant manglorean dishes (and fishes) there.
There is an overlap of the goan cuisine and the manglorean cuisine, and that definitely played in our favour while placing the order.
But our experience was enhanced ten-fold by the examplary aid of Shivprasad, who walked us through the dishes we chose, and helped us find the best pairings!
We ordered prawn ghee roast, neer dosa( and went back for seconds!), bangda ambot tik and rice. The fish was succulent, and super fresh. The dose were warm, soft and perfect. Ended our meal with a glass of delicious and authentic sol kadi!
The Konkan is an amazing manglorean restaurant on the corner of church street - and a must try for fresh sea food ( and great service!)
We had ordered
1. Chicken pepper dry- definitely yummy
2. Prawn ghee roast- was fairly okay, I have had better
3. Surmai fish curry- was good
4. Kerala porotta- was yummiest of all
Ended the meal with a glass of sol kadhi, which was refreshing.
This place is quite good and definitely worth a visit if you are near church Street/ mg road
We went there for a weekend lunch. Things to keep in mind- Meals are available only on weekdays. You need to order dishes separately on the weekends. Try the seafood here, won’t disappoint. Prawn ghee roast is a must try.
Check with the staff on the quantity before ordering-like when you order for chapati, you’ll get 2 chapatis when you ask for 1 , the assumption is 1 plate, which gets you 2 chapatis.
Ambience is lovely, with a good selection of songs being played , not too noisy.
