Legendary place. Sad to see the reviews. We can't protect our legacy. Bangalore has lost it totally! We used to queue up for this place. Still plays great music. Don't spoil the place if you don't know what rock music is! Bangalore is what today because of IT and rock pubs. Purple haze is one of those classic rock pubs. I hope it stays forever, itd symbolic! Respect it.
Good Food enjoyed the packaged food the chicken was yummy need to think little innovative on the mocktail drink.
The quality of packaging was superb as there wasn't anything of plastic.
Been here once and it was good enough, these guys have lot of place and service is a lil slow (may be cs of much crowd). Tried few things like kamikaze, chivas, spicy chicken and lambs, loved their pineapple cheese cheery(not sure of name )..Its yummmm...reasonable place to hang out.
It was a crazy night, landed at this place late, for gulping down an extra shot of vodka! The music took me right into a combination of classic rock and metal trance and we made some great friends too, we were not allowed to dance though, Customer service can be improved..

Old school place right in the heart of koramangala. I started drinking there when i was 17yo in 2005 what a legendary pub. great food and of course killer booze
A perfect place for hardcore rock music fans with cheap booze & great food! It’s an old iconic place in Bangalore & has its own charm! Have visited several times & I think it’s a great restaurant to unwind!

The place for METAL MUSIC lovers!!
This place is heaven for the people who are METAL adherent. The atmosphere here is just CRAZY and wager that you would love the DJ if you are love this genre.
Coming on point as to why you are reading this review the consumables:
FOOD: Decent taste. Cheese Nachos are pretty simple and your taste buds will love them.
DRINKS: Its imperative to get HIGH here, as the ambiance drags you in for that and guess what they neither charge you bomb for being so.
SERVICE: Good service not at all bad.
AMBIENCE: INDOOR, DARK, THEMED good for pub lovers.
SMOKING: Not allowed in the side, but the best part is you can linger around with drinks and bites even while exhaling. As they have seats and tables there as well. Cool right?
VALUE FOR MONEY SCORE: 90%
Food is not expensive if compared with the alikes and so are drinks. No funny entry charge like some other pubs in the same locality.
My Verdict: As mentioned above this place is no ordinary pub playing every damn hit song in the town. Even forget Justin Bieber if you think you will be treated with his songs....ONLY METAL!! Iron Maiden .. Metallica..AC DC..if you love these then this place if for you!!

People looking for a calm quiet evening with a soothing music.... NO NO!!Don't dare to enter! Your date will go for a toss.
Families: Everything is quite dark inside so if you wann expose your kids to Metal "STUFF" please help yourself. Else simply pass-on!

How is this place doing recently?
From some recent months, the place is not doing much better and the reason is adjoining pubs which are much more happening and not too strict with the music genre.Therefore, I would suggest to peep-in once before sitting.
One of the best hangout places. I had been here with my friend and she just loved this place. We had beer and stuffed chicken along with veg starters. Pretty decent.
Crowd has thinned down but for us 30+ folks this is still the place for rock/metal. DJ accepts requests.

For all the rock-stars and headbangers, this is one among the places. You get good draft beer and needless to say their starters are good too. The music is the key! They play awesome rock music. Metallica, AC DC, Pink Floyd, Deep Purple and many more. I personally like their ambiance but it's unchanged for over a decade. They can try concentrating on changing their look and feel as the regular visitor will get bored of the same ambiance over a decade.
If you are the rock music lover, the best place in Bangalore. My favorite place to hangout, music and beer :) NOTE: visit this place only if you like rock music. Music is very loud, Not a place if you want to talk. Starters are great. Never got the opportunity to try the other food option
The music and ambiance was just right for me this Monday night after a hard day at work. The place is pretty deserted on Monday night like most other pubs in Bangalore. Staff were pretty friendly, booze just fine. Try the Chilli Fish if you decide to hangout here, the rest of the dishes like tandoori platter, chicken fried rice, chicken lollipop and even peanut masala was a low average in my opinion. *Nice place if you like loud rock music only
The music was good and so was the ambience not to forget the food as well. A caution though, if you aren't into rock music you might want to drop the idea of going there, else you'll claim the music as loud and uninteresting.
