Well to Start off with , it was a surprise to see a Japanese theme restaurant, I liked the back entry as it felt like going in to a underground Japanese restaurant. Anyways the food is brilliant & authentic Japanese taste. The Sashimi platter was brilliant, the seafood salad was good too , except for crab sticks. The Yakitori Chicken was brilliant & the chicken cud have been more tender, then the Spicy Korean Ramen was really good so was the Japanese Pork & Seafood Ramen. Definitely going to visit again & try rest of the Menu. The only place it need a betterment is the cleanliness, the condition of the furniture was poorly maintained & the table Mats where very dirty & had blackened edges. Also the staff needs to interact with the first time customer to guide them on the menu. I absorbed that on the adjacent table , where the young couple had no clue what what to order. The Japanese chef there seems to be interested in only Japanese clientele feeds back & disregards Local clients. Over all like I said one off the really authentic Japanese restaurant in town.
Very nice restaurant for a Japanese cuisine. Got dishes which i like the most.. Tempuras were so crispy, chicken curry rice was tasty.. Got a refresher of Japan..

One of my favorite restaurants in Bangalore. Serving the best Japanese cuisines. So visiting it during my Bangalore trip was must. The ambiance is really great went there with my cousins and had a really amazing time. The staffs are very friendly as well as very patient they listened to every demands of us.
Now coming to the food that was amazing Matsuri never disappoints!

Wanted to try just plain miso soup for a long time so ended up ordering it this time. It tasted good had a clean taste according to my liking.

it was totally a new dish to me. Made with succulent pork pieces , eggs , tofu , vegetables and most importantly bitter melon , which gave it a bitter taste but not too bitter taste which overpowers the other tastes!

Yakitori is one of my favorite Japanese dishes . Tasted as always. the chicken was tender and was glazed with sweet sauce.

Ramen is all time favorite dish of mine so visiting a Japanese restaurent and ordering this is a must. The ramen I had there was my favorite ramen i have tried till now. We specially told the chef to prepare this for us and they gladly heard our request. The noodles which was in the ramen was hand pulled which makes it unique from others. The pork pieces which were inside it was so much flavorful also the egg tasted good.

This was an assorted sushi platter, consisting vegetable , crab , prawn , salmon , tuna sushi. It says sushi is something for which the taste needs time to develop and i agree with that and i am on the path of that. All the sushi were fresh.
At the last I will say if you like Japanese food and you are in Bangalore do visit Matsuri , it won't disappoint!
The food tastes really well. The tempura's batter was of the right consistency. The chicken katsu was cooked just right. It could have used some seasoning though. The yakitori was a disappointment though. The chicken was tough. The udon curry was huge and delicious. The soba ramen was great too. Salmon rolls were tasty, with a thinly wrapped seaweed. I didn't like the extra mayo on matsuri special sushi though. The sauce was too overpowering.
Definitely worth a visit.

The Sushi is a must try. I recommend a visit to all sushi lovers. They have some lovely veg sushi options as well.

I have eaten at many Japanese restaurants in Bangalore, and this is by far the best, even better than Shiro. Their Sushi and Sashimi platter is awesome x and so is their udon. The tempura was not crisp when I went, though, but inconsequential compared to the postitives

If sushi is something you like, this is the place to be. Simple stuff make with perfection. This place serves some super Comforting Japanese food. A little improvement in service would be nice as someone who is not familiar to the cuisine might need a little more attention and guidance. Overall, it’s a must try.
As comforting as the food back in Nippon, so warm and the atmosphere was just like Japan. Our family loved it. I totally recommended this to people who crave Japanese food or if you want an experience.

Matsuri is a traditional Japanese restaurant. If you are Japanese food lover, Matsuri will be the best spot. Ambience is cool. Food-wise: mild or without oil foods, well baked, unique menus.
What to grab: Gyoza, Negima (boiled tuna), Grilled salmon, Chicken Katsu (Deep fried chicken). Highlight is Yakisoba noodles.

What an amazing place! It's a must visit for all Japanese cuisine enthusiasts who want to try authentic Japanese in Bangalore. This place has a very pretty and calm ambience with good food and service. We ordered a bunch of things and the Ebi Tempura and Shoyu Ramen were really nice.
One of the best restaurants I've been too. We ordered 4 dishes. Each was just awesome. Most of the people eating there were seem to be speaking in Japanese.
We will definitely go there again to try other dishes. The steak was so soft that we could eat using the chopsticks only.
One must try the "Niku tofu"!
Super authentic Japanese restaurant. Loved the vibe of the place. Tried a few different dishes. The Ebi tempura and the California rolls were our favourites. The chicken gyoza (dumplings) weren't the best. Portion size is very generous. It's a great place if you've built a good taste for authentic Asian food.
Authentic Japanese food.... Taste is amazing All products seems to be very fresh which enhances the taste multifold. In terms of Hospitality I wish to rate it more than 5 stars. Mansi and Rupali took good care of us as their guests. I really loved this place and recommend foodies to give it visit.
Each time we go to Matsuri we return satiated and satisfied! Love the authentic Japanese flavours, and quiet, comfortable atmosphere. Tonight we were served by Dimpy and had a lovely time. The gyu tataki (beef slices in citrus dipping sause) was delicious and tender, the stir fried pork was yum and their salmon maki sushi are a perfect mouth size. We also had the gyoza and Dimpy recommended their macha cake roll for dessert which was delicious (filled with the red bean paste). Next time I'll leave some space for Ramen!
Good tasty food, decent serving size and quality and aptly prized. Not to crowded during the weekdays not sure about the weekends. Friendly staff and guide you with the food choices. It was a good experience; we went there during new years season. Good Experience.
The food is pretty decent, close to Japanese food.... Good ambience, very friendly staff, but would like a bit more options in the menu especially deserts.... Basically there is no deserts at all!! But food tastes good, good quantity and quality but bit too expensive!! Overall a decent place to try atleast once!!
