The food was very authentic, tasty and light. The customer service was excellent. I ordered the mezze platter, shawarma and kunafa. All three were very good. Will definitely come here again.
I loved it. Everything is just perfect. I loved the packing of quality n quality of food. Seems good
This is the 2nd restaurant I visited in the pandemic situation, and on obvious comparisons, ‘Bonum Cibum’ stood out to be great. It has happy interiors with most necessarily a safe vibe.
Vijay, who took our order and served us took care of everything effortlessly.
Coming to the food, Mezze by bowl-Hummus was so incredible that we needed extra pita bread ordered. The Cold Mezze Platter is supposedly good too.
Egyptian Shaksuka had these baked eggs with just right amount of tomato compote and bell pepper, I loved this dish a lot.
Classic Margerita had this thin crust with standard yummy mozzarella.
Hot Mezze had a variety of appetizers again- Falafel was crunchy and also tasted nice with hummus, Potato kibbeh’s filling wasn't to my likes as I found it to be a little too plain and tasteless.
Halloumi egg plant was gooey and fun to eat, parcels ~ chicken wrap was meaty and succulent served with the right mayonnaise to accompany it.
Arabic Mixed Grill Special was again combined with meat, chicken kabab that left a slightly off taste, prawns and fish were clear winners. It was served with 2 types of rice that were rather satisfying!
They also have pleasing things in desserts like the chocolate lasagne I had no idea about before this day. Would love to return for more.
Amazing place. I ordered the mezze platter, chicken tepenade and Kunafa for desert. It was a delight and these dishes are a mist try.
Lovely Mediterranean restaurant with Lebanese, Turkish, Arabian food for the soul. Loved the decor but let's jump right into the food.
Baba Ganoush is a MUST have! This lovely eggplant and olive oil based chutney served with pita bread is just out of the world.
The second thing that was absolutely tasty was the Kibbeh (juicy meatballs) served with fresh mayonnaise and tandoori sauce.
We also ordered the infamous Mezze platter (full) which came with sizeable portions of rice and meat items. The best in this was the prawns, fish and meat patties (shami)
The Mezze platter is sufficient for 3 people to eat. So, order wisely.
For drinks we have Mojito + Pina colada mix (which you must ask for, it's an off menu item)
For dessert we had Kunafa and I must say it was the yummiest Kunafa I've ever had! I've tried Kunafa world and it's good but doesn't come close. Would come back here for just this!
Lovely dinner. I got 30% off the total bill through Zomato Pro which was quite a good deal. Would definitely recommend.
One of the best dining experience ever. The staffs are really very polite and friendly. They serve tasty and quality food. Chef Ashish went out of the way to ensure we have an amazing experience. Can’t thank you enough for making my husband’s birthday dinner a memorable one. Much appreciated Ashish! 😊
This was my first time I visit Bonum Cibum... I ordered Arabic mixed grilled and yummy donuts chocolate... And the food was Excellent... I have an amazing Experience... ...
Frst time i visited the restaurant it was very nice
The food is very taste the service also in a polite way ovr all the bonum cibum was a best experience in my life
It's the best Mediterranean restaurant in hsr layout , its my friend's birthday and I had a great experience dining here
Everything was really awesome every dish, special the cocktail sauce they serve with some recipe and the prawns were really yummy. Loved it.
First dining experience post the lockdown and it was quite a pleasant experience at Bonum Cibum.
This place has a really nice and calm feel to it, well lit and nicely decorated interiors greet you as you enter the place. In keeping with the times, a sanitizer is present right at door as soon as you enter the place.
We made ourselves comfortable and ordered a couple of items, chicken skewers and a Pizza.
Both the dishes were extremely tasty and delectable.
The pizza deserves a special mention, it was of a really good size (12 inch) and had a perfect Italian taste to it. Top marks for the food at this place.
The staff were extremely courteous and follow all the guidelines of the COVID protocols.
A small grouse would be that I found this place slightly expensive, some items you feel have been priced way over the top, I would suggest the management to reconsider the pricing of some of their dishes.
But nonetheless, we had a really nice experience and the food was extremely tasty.
Visited with family and everyone of us loved the hour we spent in this gorgeously decorated restaurant. 5 stars for the interiors, 5 stars for the staff, 5 stars for the food. Even the wash area interiors are also amazingly done
A good new restaurant with Mediterranean cuisine. The ambiance was lovely and the interiors were very well done. The staff was really helpful. Our server was Bijoy. Too good
So as we have a middle East background (though we are Indian citizens because middle East does not believe in giving citizen benefits to expatriates even if they are born and living there for 100 years), we know how the food should taste.
If you don't know the details of the food, this is the perfect restaurant for you. You won't know the difference. The hummus was yum with the pita bread though we felt the tahini amount could be increased a bit. The cream of mushroom soup was too good with the right amounts of everything. The shish taouk was good but we found it a bit dry like a tandoor.
The fatoosh was yum but we asked them to avoid putting capsicum or onion (which some people in India throw just to fill it up. Capsicum has to be red, yellow or orange, as the green ones don't really go well for this salad. The onions have to be finely chopped and some put huge chunks in it, so eliminating them is the best). It still had carrot which did not go well with the whole salad. The fried kaboos was too huge for the mouth. Taste wise it was yum.
The kebabs were good but slightly dry. The lamb chops were good. The chicken shawarma was perfect.
The manakeesh (Lebanese pizza which seems like a variant of fatayer) was too yum with the right amounts of zaatar and cheese on it. We got foodgasms!
The lemon mint juice was superb and refreshing.
We ended by ordering a kunafa. It was yum for those who did not know how it is supposed to be but we knew that the vermicelli was a little extra and the cheese amount should have been more.
But i will still go to this restaurant again as i haven't found another Mediterranean restaurant in the north of Bangalore.
I had a 3ft non veg arabic platter which was served on a bed of rice with some veggies, lamb chops, and 3 chicken dishes with some relishes.Soup was served in the begining which was part of the platter. It would easily serve 5 people as the quantity was huge and tasted good.
The food is not spicy as is the case of authentic Arabic food.
Great Ambience. Looks like a small place from outside but the seating is well organized. The service was good. Anjum took our order. He was polite and suggested the best that they could offer. Coming to the food, we ordered the meat platter and it was delicious with sufficient quantity. The lamb was juicy and fresh while the chicken had some best flavours. For desserts, we tried their kunafa and it was extremely yummy. Overall, this is a great place for a wholesome meal!
Had lovely lunch today. The food was absolutely wonderful, pizza, bread platter with different dips, chicken, pasta we liked all. The ingredients were fresh and all the dishes were tasty. Overall very good experience. Located in the main road, quite accessible. Very courteous staff, nice Mediterranean and contemporary interior which makes your dining experience a more pleasant one.
Visited one Sunday morning, felt as if the first customer. The staff was courteous and very attentive.
Ambience- 5/5
The ambience is fantastic. It interiors are meticulous curated and done.
Taste- 4/5
They have Lebanese cuisine.
The food was tasty both veg and non veg items.
Overall a great place to have something different.
very beautiful restaurant. the staff was very cordial, had a one on one interaction with the owner as well as the head chef (Ashish). food was impeccable and so was the ambience. pricing was very reasonable. family friendly, and a good place to bring your friends for a party too. unfortunately due to the ongoing pandemic, not many can enjoy this experience, but it was worth it. zomato delivery is possible.
There is always that one experience with food that you remember forever, and for me it was here at bonum cibum!
The place is new & promising. It specializes and serves Mediterranean cuisine.
The interiors here are simple and elegant.
The staff and the serves here were skilled, humble and very helpful.
We started off with some refreshing Rooh Afsa Mojito.. To go with this we had the beautiful cold mezze platter.
One of my fav dishes here was the goat cheese boreks, something that I kept on having!
The eggplant and haloumi parcels, was just stunning as well.
Moving on to the grills, I experienced something I never imagined that I will in India!
The mix grill platter with chicken, beef kabas, bread, veggies and saffron rice.
It serves around 6-7 people and is costs at about 1600rs, and its definitely worth every penny.
We were not just don't yet and then came up the long kabab i have ever tried and probably the tastiest pice of meat I have ever tried!!
The kobideh beef kabab platter.. Served with white rice, saffron rice, cheese, butter and lots of veggies.
This platter costs around 2600rs.
Both the platter are made on spl request and you should order it off a day prior so that they are able to make proper arrangements.
Moving on to the desserts, we tried the umm also, the kunafa and the buklava.
The buklava and kunafa were soo good that we orderd 2 of each!
Overall it was like a once in a life time experience for me! Loved every bit of it!
I made an impromptu visit to Bonum Cibum and walked in to find that there were barely any veg options available (understandableas it's a Mediterranean cuisine) and walked out. The owner took attention and was good at convincing my family and I to blindly trust him and his chef by curating veg dishes chosen by them.
With some hesitation we eventually decided to take the risk and honestly... it was so worth it !!!!!!! The chef surprised us with the most delicious platters, beverages, and dessert that I just can't forget the experience.
The restaurant is cute and comfortable within a renovated ancient bungalow. There are a variety of seating options. We had the mezzi platter with Pita, not sure what the main was called but it had yellow rice with grilled paneer, mushrooms, Capsicum with filling, cheese Naan and paneer, and the Kunafa dessert. The food was quite filling and honestly stuffed myself when the dessert came as I could just not resist.
Each dish was well detailed and served to us directly by the chef. The personal attention and considerations given to us impressed me. Chef knew exactly what we would like and made the food even better than our expectations. Looking forward to visiting again !
