The food is just extraordinary, totally perfect, very well balanced taste. The service was wonderful. Very patient with the customer. I could keep going on and on with the compliments. This place deserves a great recognition.
The best thing about this place is the food itself. Pricing is a little steep on certain food (butter milk = Rs. 55/- per glass) but you'd be satisfied that the other food you had was good.
It is a decent multi-cuisine restaurant at the heart of the city but the infrastructure could have been better. Air conditioned hall where they served me food was very small and packed and it was a weekend, so huge crowd for dinner.
Normal, non-AC dining area was more spacious and could accommodate more guests without suffocating everyone but then I have not had food in that section and hence, I cannot really comment on it - except, it looks better than the AC section; modern-ish ambience.
Menu is filled with a few names which I was familiar with and more names which were new to me; fully loaded!
Orders were quickly taken and food was served pretty fast considering they had to prepare freshly some of which I had ordered. Hotel staff is pretty attentive and friendly which is a huge plus along with good food.
They accept only cash and / or card payments and no UPI which also means no Google Pay, no Paytm, no PhonePay or any other services as such which is something they should look in to besides changing the interiors of the place to look fresh (especially the AC section).
Not even for 5 minutes did people stop walking in to the restaurant and it was nearly full by the time we entered the place.
All in all, it was a good dining experience and I found a good go-to hotel when I am in Halasuru.
P.S.
It is a VEG ONLY hotel and they also serve JAIN food.
UPDATE:
Visited the hotel again the next day evening and ordered an Onion Dose (AKA Dosa) and confirmed that it was indeed an actual Onion Dose and not the roasted Dose on which they pointlessly keep an Onion (how it is done in A2B hotels and their likes).
By the way, it tasted good.
I've shared more images with this update, of the NON-AC section of the hotel. It actually looks decent.
There is a wash-basin inside the restroom which is also where the toilet is with a separate door inside. They are not the cleanest I have seen but they aren't very off-putting either except the toilet which needs more cleaning.
There is NO western style toilet available but Indian style and if you are old or with bad knee(s), then you are better off not using it.
Would I visit the place again some day? Most certainly!
A good classic old school Udupi style restaurant, they still make dishes the way we used to have during the good old days. Pocket friendly prices and quick service.
