Finger licking good! Simply wholesome and sumptuous. We were so full it took us a while to get ourselves together after the meal.
A little on the lavish spend, but definitely worth the money! The best part was a very amicable host! Would definitely visit again!
It’s crucial for any restaurant theme to instantly whet the appetite of their visitors. However, it’s equally important for their theme to establish a comfortable, charming atmosphere and I must say Baba da Dhaba is doing a great job in all spheres. It’s pretty at first sight. The place is spacious offering indoor sitting and what I found even more catchy about the place was the swing style chairs which at least I’ve never seen before. Also the rustic furniture, lights hanging from roof, tied to ropes were adding up to the beauty and their playlist was just going well with the theme, it was so soothing that once you wind up their after a hectic day at work, all your blues will be gone. Overall Interiors and music were diligently drafted henceforth soothing and elegant ambience.
Coming to the food part, Baba da Dhaba as the name suggest serves you authentic North Indian food with a tinge of their own. We went there for dinner and choose to sit on the swing style chairs which were cosy too. Going by the punjabi style, we started with a glass of lassi which was elaichi flavoured and perfect in texture, within no time we had it all as it was too good in taste.
Moving on, we tried their newly launched starters which included
-Hara Bhara Kabab which was made up of mashed peas and spinach, stuffed with cheese was tasty and healthy at the same time.
-Paneer Lajawab Tikka which was well glazed and dressed with cheese and cashew nuts. Definitely you can feel an innovative touch to it.
-Aloo matar ki tiki which was a perfect blend of the aforementioned veggies, seems to me reinvented.
All the starters were served with fresh creamy salad and beetroot Mint chutney which further enhanced the flavours.
For mains we had Dal makhni with perfect aroma n spices, Dal Saath Salam which was again rich in flavour and Onion kulcha which was well baked and stuffed.
For desserts we had kheer and Gulab jamun which were again a delight to eyes as well as your taste buds.
What made our dining even more special was the considerate and attentive staff. They looked after everyone very well.
The food is awesome. If you are a person to try many dishes in 1 visit opt for the combos. Very good idea of contactless ordering. Taste is very good. Masala chaas if ordered at the end of meal is just awesome and gives lasting taste and a good sense of satiety. The place has a paan shop too in front. Car parking is a huge problem. On a lazy day will go to this place only to sip masala chaas.
