Went to masala oota a coiple of months back, nice modern theme restaurant ser ing local food.. Had their managalore chicken curry with chapati.. Food was good but a little bit expensive.
I really really like the taste of food and also the food has been served very soon after the order has been given. Friendly staff and beautiful ambience. Would love to visit the place again and again keeping the mind the reasonable prices and the quantity of the food.
I go to this place for lunch. They serve Mangolorean food. The place is very spacious and clean. The ambience is little retro. They play 90s English music most of the time. I’ve tried their chicken/veg thali with white rice, roti thali, chicken and mutton biryani. I like their food. The service is very fast. This place is not pocket friendly for daily office goers. I’m saying this because the location in which it’s situated is full of offices which don’t have their canteen, so everyone goes out for food.
A surprisingly large place - the owners have tried ato create a niche place for Karnataka food.
The Donne Biriyani was good, the ragi balls were good but the chicken ghee roast was not exactly your conventional ghee roast -, too much masala and gravy. The mutton chrry was apparently good as well
Want to come here again to try the evening snacks especially the Akki Roti
Service was good and the value for money was okayish.
best food i ordered in 99 rs combo biryani best taste best quantity best packaging what else you want in 99 go grab it

Randomly visited the place for lunch today. First impression was definitely about the ambience. Interiors were well thought, colorful and works well with the traditional cuisine served.
We ordered Mysore mutton curry with a portion of Chapati and Ragi Mudde. The meat was tender and perfectly cooked; curry perfectly spiced.
However the options for lunch are very limited, with most of menu(rolls and snacks) being available after 3pm.
Would definitely recommend this restaurant for peeps in and around Richmond town
Stopped over for a quick bite and they did not disappoint.
The service is attentive and the ambience soothing. It is much larger than it looks from the outside. Mangalore bhajji and Buttermilk were both spot on.
Will return to try the main menu items as well, even though those are a little over priced.

My family and my pet dog visited MASALA OOTA for dinner.
PETS: small pets allowed
ORDERED: chicken paddu, chicken biryani
Chicken paddu was delicious
Chicken biryani though the taste wasnt bad and was served hot, it was extremely dry. They claimed that they had taken it off the dumm just 30 min ago that could have made it dry. We were there btwn 9 and 9:30 on a Sunday. It has to be seen if it could be better on another visit.
CLEANLINESS - 5/5
INTERIORS AND AMBIENCE: nice quirky interiors. Well lit and well spaced out tables.
STAFF: friendly, polite ppl.
COST: 4 ppl ate well in under rs.1000
PARKING: weekend at 9 wasn't a problem.i suspect a weekday could be challenging .
BEST FOR: they have an ice cream shop attached to it too. Perfect for families to step out on a lazy weekend, eat simple food and chat up. It being quiet also makes it a great place for discussions.
I would like to go back there some other time and hope my experience could be better.
Good hygienic food, cordial staff, very spacious. I generally go here for lunch.
Both veg and non-veg are delicious. The ambience is very nice. For daily office-goers who have their lunch outside the high price maybe a factor here.
Awesome food. Wonderful place... We had a great meal.. ambience was good and excellent.
This is the place that combines old world Bangalore with some contemporary charm. Donne biryani does definitely taste authentic out here, and so do their ragi mudde (finger millet dumplings) and Mysore mutton chops! Highly rated if you want a taste of authentic Mysore Karnataka cuisine, without wanting to make the journey into the congested part of the Pete area.
Very neat and clean place. Very good staff and service. Spicy food. Good location.
Post google review had been der, lovely place, lovely ambience. Staff are friendly. We ordered for Biryani and kabab but they suggested combo, which we took. It had ragi ball(pretty small) chicken curry , kabab 2 peices, chicken Biryani (I codnt fnsh full-a lil too much quantity for girls) chilli bajji(no idea why) and pineapple kesaribath and also Rasam prices 225. Veg is 195. Totally worth the price we pay. We also took pepper chicken which was equally tasty. I suggested to couple of my colleagues and received positive feedback as well. Must go place
Best Ambience, Very good place for Nonvegetarians
Amazingly tasty food, which was both filling and delicious. Has a lot of varieties. Seems to be a small place, but one should enter to get amazed by the decor and coziness. Loved the first visit. Will visit again. Afterall, this is where I got to try raggi mudde for the first time 🙂
Amazing new place. Food is yummy. The meal with Ragi ball is a must have even for those first timers who don't know how to swallow it. Enjoy it while you can.
Tasty food at an affordable price.
Simple but tastefully done. Food is simple and feels like home-cooked. One of the good restaurants to go to for everyday lunch options near Richmond Circle.
