Lip smaking food.... Wish I could kidnap the chef ;) rates r bit high... Lovely ambience.. pls visit this place for Kerala food..
Spent my wedding anniversary dinner with my hubby n kid here.... It's a wonderful place for a nice Kerala sea food.. I enjoyed our dinner..
Salt Mango Tree is a great restaurant that'll leave you feeling a little closer to home - even if you're not from Kerala!
My favourites are the Malabar Beef Biriyani, Veg Meals, Kulukki Sarbath, Erachi Curry, Ghee Rice, Chicken Roast and Erachi Coconut Fry.
Built into a home, the ambience is great, and makes the food look and taste even better!
The parotta, chicken ghee roast and mango fish curry are to die for. Staff is courteous and attentive. The dishes are priced well and are worth each penny. Salt Mango Tree is my favourite place to eat at when in Bangalore.
The food is tasty and you get some really authentic fresh meal. It's not fancy but who cares about fanciness if the food is great. Their b*** chilli fry was really nice so was the allepy fish curry.
This place don’t have a proper parking . Bikes get towed . Food is good . I found the soups to be very spicey and ful of pepper . Kerala meals is good .
Fantastic authentic South Indian Food with great service and a quiet cozy ambience. The owner Anoop, made sure everything was perfect. Thanks.
Perfect place for a quick lunch. Loved the food.
Laid back ambience, delicious fare. Multiple visits over 24 months - consistently good, does not feel like restaurant food but closer to home cooked. Food is filling so don’t get carried away with the look of the portion sizes. Great for veggies and of course for non-veggies. Appam, stew, parotta, biriyani, ghee roast, sour preparations: veggie, prawn, king fish, mutton, chicken any prep on the menu - so far no complaints - if u want the chilli level higher or lower let them know, base is per se is quite perfect. Smiling staff makes you want to visit more often. One reco to SMT : loo door can be kept closed. Great place, thank you!
The Authentic and Typical Kerala Restaurant.
The Starters are very good and the main course too. There is a scope of opportunity in Desert but if someone likes jaggery then it will be better for them.
If someone wants to have a taste of Kerala then for them it's the place for them.
Kerala cusine is comfort food for me but at Salt Mango Tree, it is given a premium touch. The ambience and price of the dishes does not tell the story and culture of Kerala. Having said that, the food here is exceptionally tasty and a lot of care goes into its making. Awesome staff too.
Liked the food, initially I was afraid of coconut oil in the curry but the chicken stew was delicious. Loved the food but found bit costly. Final verdict
Ambiance: 😊😊😊😐😐

The place may look mediocre but the food and service is great. Very good Kerala cuisine.
Four of us went. The ambiance is good. It is an old house renovated (interior) in a restaurant. This is basically a kerala food themed restaurant. The starters and main course are all kerala based dishes. The food was good. We ordered baby potato fry and mutton dry for starters and Appam, veg Stew, kadala curry, kadala curry and mutton stew for main course. The appam was very nice 👌 . Also will recommend the kadala curry and Mutton stew . Also another point is the dishes are quite large portions. Actually for 4 of us we ordered 3 curries and after eating 4 appams each still the curries were remaining and we had to parcel the rest. ( we strongly believe in not wasting food and water ). The desert is also kerala based. So we had Sulaimani tea which is black tea with herbs. We went on a Monday evening so we were able to have a quite atmosphere. Overall the experience is good.
The food is just so goooood! Everything we ate was so delicious! The chutney were yummy! The coconut caramel pudding was too amazing
Loved the food! And rates were reasonable too. I just loved the place. Hygienic, good service and food was prepared with love!!!!
Second visit here, and after many years. First visit was right around the time they started, and can't recall how it was.
This time went for Fish curry sadya, chicken biryani, porotta and chicken roast. I have been trying to get a good chicken roast in BLR, and it's been a unfulfilling quest so for, till today. This was one of the best chicken roast, period. Its on par with some of the roasts I have had in Kollam and TVM. Thank you for making my day with just that dish. Biryani was good too, and so was the fish curry. Sadya was decent, porotta was disappointing. Don't know why BLR restaurants take our Mallu staple food so lightly. Very often it's the soft and soggy version that we get here, not the crisp and fluffy type we get back home. Not sure if this one was ready to eat variety, but didn't enjoy it. Just that the next level chicken roast made me forget about the shortcomings of porotta.
Payasam - palada was decent, but Ada pradaman was surprisingly good. Overall, very very good meal. Enjoyed it. Will be going back for that chicken roast.
Service leaves a lot to be desired though.
Nice place to be of you love Kerala cuisine. Topiaca and fish fry was exceptional Mutton food my taste was average.
Went here for Onam Sadhya Lunch . taste really good. The service was quick. They were able to manage with all the waiting
Excellent food with native flavours.. Pork and mutton recipes are must try items with appam or Malabar parota.. there’s a slight delay in service but it’s worth waiting as they make everything fresh in their open kitchen.. Authentic flavour of Kerala is available here.
We have ordered Malabar Chicken Biryani and Beef Pepper Roast. The flavour of the biryani was delicious. The best part is that the chicken was so tender and flavours smack. The quantity of both the item was very good enough for two people.
One among the best Kerala restaurants in the area..
A bit overpriced.
The menu has got everything we expect from a Kerala restaurant.
