We visited Salt- Nexus Shantiniketan recently on a Sunday afternoon. The ambience was quite a let down as the lighting was not sufficient and the space wasn't effectively utilised. However the musician on the mic performed incredibly well and evoked a beautiful sense of nostalgia as he crooned to Bollywood songs from three 2000s. When it comes to good, we ordered their Cheese and Olives naan for starters which were delicious. In mains, we ordered a lacha Paratha, garlic naan and paneer tikka hare pyaz. Though tasty enough, did not justify the price attached to them. Their desserts felt quite underwhelming in comparison to other fine-fine restaurants in Bangalore which boast very skillfully curated and delectable dessert spreads. We had their chocolate cheesecake and gulab jamun tiramisu. On the whole, we had a satisfactory experience at Salt.

Went to SALT for a Sunday night dinner.
The place was full but we were seated in a very short time.
We ordered the Lal-Bagh Tomato & Basil Shorba. It was delicious, hot, and perfect for a rainy cold evening. Masala papad was yummy and loaded with peanuts. For a peanut lover like me, it's heaven!
For starters we had the Paneer Hara Matar tikka. Soft paneer tikka stuffed with spice peas stuffing. It was slightly spicy for my palette but my companions enjoyed it. Main course was Lasooni methi paneer mutter and butter garlic kulcha and rotis. The Lasooni methi paneer mutter was definitely not what I had expected. It was a pleasant surprise. Perfectly cooked, balanced flavour and good portion size. Kulcha was slightly burnt but was fresh and hot when served.
To accompany the food we ordered Orange Virgin Mojito and Orange Iced Tea. Both the drinks were refreshing.
The best part of the dinner was the Filter Coffee Crėme Brûlée. It was light, just enough sweet, and had the taste of the perfect filter coffee decoction in every bite. It was plated beautifully too.
Ambience is good. We sat in the open seating area. Music and lighting made the experience warm.
Service was prompt and as quick as possible with Sunday night crowd. The service staff was polite and efficient. When our order got served to another guest, we didn't have to wait long for our order.
Overall a wonderful experience. Definitely going back for the shorba and the Crėme Brûlée.
Went out with the office colleagues to dine in. They have both indoor and outdoor sitting. Lovely ambiance with decent drink/food options to opt for.
The overall experience was good and I would recommend this one to the folks with family as well.
SALT - A new dimension to the our very own Indian cuisine
SALT has been always in my favourite list of restaurants when it comes to Indian cuisine.. despite of being expensive their menu is quite delicious and interesting.
Visited this Nexus Koramangala branch of SALT
Unlike the other branches, this branch hasn’t got very attractive interiors. It’s kinda subtle could have been more happening n cheerful.
Which in-fact goes with the ambiance too.
Ordered my favourite Bombay Ragada Pattis..
As usual it’s damn delicious.
SALT - A new dimension to our very own Indian dishes
I did visit during odd hours, so the restaurant was kind silent and empty.
It’s got indoor and outdoor seating arrangements too..
PS: the overall rating is 3.5, since the google doesn’t allow fractions hence rounding it off to 4
Nice place with outdoor seating as well. 5 of us went for dinner to this place.
Tomato shorba and the masala papad were decent.
Tillwaali babycorn was crispy and nice.
Skinned potato started was also good. Potatoes were very soft and the masala coating on it was also nice. A green curd chutney was given along with fryums as complimentary. The green chutney and the tamarind chutney that came with the starters were a good combo for both the starters.
Vegetable biriyani was made slightly spicy based on our request and it was good as well.
The service was excellent.
It’s a nice place if you are craving for punjabi food.
Seating - inside and outside..
Vibe - I feel one should go in day time to experience the greenery and vibe. Night time it like any other eating joint with different interiors.
Food - taste is great. We ordered their paneer platter and veg soup. And in drinks - Aam panna which was great mocktail.
Cons - they do have everything available in Shantiniketan branch as most of the drinks are available in their VR mall branch.
However food is good and we have a great time
Had a lovely dining experience here. We loved the Salt version Dhaba style salad, chili chicken was okay (would love to see real chilis rather than capsicum), Pardha Biryani was nice. Service was good. This place is a repeat.
I underestimated this place. Pretty cozy ambience. Super quick service. Fresh and lip smacking food. Polite staff. Just perfect!
From a price perspective it's a bit on the higher side otherwise 5⭐

So it's a nice Sunday afternoon and you want o enjoy food and drinks and looking for a place , well Salt restaurant is the answer.
They've amazing and fully loaded brunch , for 999 plus taxes with good variety in veg and non veg categories.
The service too is prompt and quick.
Sundays they've live music too.
The store is located at the ground floor and the the last.
The food too is delicious and well made. Do try their Awadhi murg.
