The Potbelly Divine serves delicious Bihari cuisine. The native Bihari / UP folks may find the prices on the higher side for a simple litti chokha that they can make at home and even better. But for us, it’s the convenience of somebody else making it for us and much better than what we can cook at home makes it worth a try. The ambience is modern yet cozy. The staff is welcoming, polite and friendly. The helped us with their recommendations in choosing dishes. My partner was trying out vegan diet (though otherwise a die hard non-veg eater). Below is what all we had: Bachka basket - Veg started with fritters of aloo, spinach, plantain, eggplant served with tomato chokha and chutney. It was served hot and should be eaten hot. The fritter had thin layer of batter which was crispy and flavourful. The dips were scrumptious and almost felt like salsa. Litti chokha - We asked for vegan version of litti chokha. It was not possible since the sattu inside the litti already had some ghee in it. But the staff said they won’t dip the litti in ghee and serve it dry. We were okay with that. The little chokha was otherwise delicious but the sattu filing inside the litti was dry as the litti wasn’t soaked in ghee. We can’t blame them for it. Although they could have avoided adding ghee on top of the daal knowing we wanted to avoid it as far as possible. Dehati fish and chips - this was a stunning starter. Every part of it was delicious. The small fish tikkis on mini puris, the fish fry and the batter fried masala fries were all great with the chokha and chutney. Champaran mutton - Champaran mutton was a highlight for me. The palak puris were light, fluffy and not at all oily. The mutton gravy had ample amount of mutton boneless pieces cooked in ghee and is slow roasted to tender perfection. I will definitely visit this place again just for that mutton. Aam panna - Aam panna was good though the quantity could have been more. Overall we liked the place and would definitely visit again, now that my partner is off the vegan diet and could savour that mouthwatering mutton :)

This is our second visit to this place and we love the place, staffs and the taste of the food of this place. I think pandemic have affected the business but there is no difference in the taste. It is the same what we had last year. Hopefully they can regain its all the customers as they used to come before Corona. The place looks neat and the food prepared is tremendous but I have a suggestion for them. Please have a wash basin separate so that if the person has to wash the hand they can go there easily or else give them some options except going to the extreme corner. Rest everything looks okay right now.

We went to this restaurant around Dasara time, it was deserted and we were the only people in for lunch. I was apprehensive that we would get a limited menu like so many other places but thankfully the hospitable staff told us that except 1-2 items, most of their menu was available...we ordered an apple lemonade for our child and a plate of litti for ourselves..the litti was one of the best I have ever eaten, the taste was something that would appeal to everybody, given the taste of sattu might be unfamiliar to some in Bengaluru. The sides of the aloo and brinjal chokha and dal were very tasty, even our child enjoyed them as spice leve was nominal...we ordered the Dana Jhamarua thali which had a few rotis and some excellent chutneys. I was not impressed with the gravy as the taste of mustard was not very evident..

This is a restaurant offering Bihari cuisine. We ordered Litti mutton, dehati platter and a couple of iced teas. Overall, the food was great but the quantity was less. Like for instance, in the thaali I got only 2 pooris and very little rice. The food is a little on the pricey side too! However, the service was fast and good. If you are in the mood to have something Bihari to satisfy your cravings, do go here.

If you are looking for authentic North Indian food, your search ends at The PotBelly. Lovely restaurant, with amazing ambience. Whether you go for a couple date or a family dinner, the ambience will just floor you. Food is extraordinary. Less oily, less spicy, very ideal for kids too. The staff was very courteous, they patiently helped us understand the origin of dish, how is it prepared. They engage the customers very well, withou much intrusion. We mostly tried non-veg. Eager to revisit soon to taste vegetarian delicacies.

Bengaluru has slowly evolved into a melting pot of various cultures and cuisines from around the world. I have witnessed that transformation in the last 15 years of my stay here. Surprisingly, apart from few small time eateries, roadside kiosks and restaurants, that focussed primarily on Litti Chokha and its variants, there was real dearth of real Bihari Cuisine specialty restaurant in the city earlier. But now things have changed in 2020 and Bengaluru can boast of having their first exclusive Bihari restaurant, The Pot Belly Divine, right in the heart of Indiranagar. Part of famed Potbelly chain of Delhi NCR, it serves a flavorful Bihari and Jharkhand fare , that's much more than Litti Chokha, which most of us relate this cuisine to. While going through the menu, I found it quite exhaustive, with dishes around the bihar, for vegetarians and non vegetarians alike. Started with a vegetarian duo of starters, Bagia basket and Ghugni Chooda, both very typical of Bihar and Jharkhand. Then came the big surprise, The Bihari Kabab, a lip smacking dish not many outside are aware. Served with flaky paratha and relishes, this kabab is highly recommended for all non vegetarians. It is delicious, melt-in-the mouth texture, infused with spices, yogurt and tenderising papaya, cooked in mustard oil. Dehati Chokha Marua Roti, small rotis made of Marua flour which is a millet flour, topped with mashed fish and shrimps with spices, is a fusion starter, one must try here. The main course here has a plethora of interesting offerings, with vegetarian platters called Madhubani Thali, Dana Jhamaura and the Makhana Thali, along with the Sattu paratha platter. For the Litti Chokha lovers, this place also serves delicious Litti combinations with mutton and chicken curries apart from the regular vegetarian one. All three combinations are served with two styles of chokha, namely baigan and potato ones. Meat lovers too can rejoice with an array of sumptuous homely dishes like Khada Masala Chicken, Sarson Machali and Champaran Mutton. The last one from Champaran, served with palak (spinach) puris, being my favourite hands down. Due to lockdown these days , they are delivering food through online delivery platforms like Zomato and Swiggy. Through "The Pot Belly Divine" menu, one can experience the culinary trail of Bihar , including quintessential dishes from Bhojpuri, Magahi, and Maithil regions. In Spite of the Bihari diaspora everywhere, this food largely remains the unexplored avenue of Indian cuisine. And I'm glad that this place is contributing to the cause of popularising the food from Bihar and Jharkhand. The Potbelly Divine 1082, 12th Main, HAL 2nd Stage, Indiranagar, Bangalore

if you really love food, and if you really want to try something new apart from the mundane biryani and boring roti curry that most hotels offer, then this is the right place... A restaurant situated in the heart of indranagar, offering memorable dishes to its patrons. This is a restaurant that deserves all praises coming its way. Each bite had at this place was delecious unique and throughly bihari, the service staff here are humble and offer the right suggestions when asked for, over all a beautiful place to try something new... Prefer the table overlooking the big rain tree and you will not regret it😇

Reviewing a place after long but then again, how could I have not after having the amazing food they served? Came to this restaurant with my family on a Sunday night after reading some great reviews about it and I'm glad to say that the place exceeded my expectations. The food was sumptuous and prepared really well. The aesthetics of the place and music was on point and most importantly, the server was extremely gentle and polite, recommending us food options as well. 11/10! Will visit again :)
