The first place in North Goa we have been to with no music and no Wifi and let me tell you it was the best thing about this place !! In the midst of all the North Goa hustling Pousada is a refreshing change for people looking for good food and quality time with friends and family !!!
My husband and I visited Pousada By The Beach for lunch on our first wedding anniversary in the first week of May, not really the peak season. We were greeted by the owners themselves, extremely warm and friendly family, that wants to ensure your having the best time !! The family includes Chai and Biscuit, the most calm yet friendly labradors I've ever met �
We started off with some mocktails, strawberry and pomegranate mojito and the virgin mojito with a twist .. it was the perfect thing to beat the heat if you want to avoid alcohol when in Goa (that's less likely though �)
We hit the main course straight after and the prawns balchao was undoubtedly the best I've had in Goa .. authentic !! I'm not a very big fan of dried shrimp.. however they mask the flavour really well in this dish.. and all in all it's perfect !!
Nishit Pathak ordered the Goan Pork Chourico Pulao and he enjoyed his meal to the fullest !
Joshua and his father made regular trips to our table to ensure we were enjoying our meal.
The portion sizes are just perfect, infact it's a bit larger than most of the other places offering food in North Goa.
The biggest compliment we would give the owners is the standard and quality they are maintain. We wished to have a look around their kitchen as well, and it was super clean and really well organised. This is definately one of the best restaurants in North Goa, a class apart from the other usual shacks. We would surely recommend it.
I've saved the best for the last.!! And I want to tell you all how AMAZING their Serradura dessert is � oh my god.. this was my 8th visit to Goa and I've never tried any real local dessert, except Bebinca, but if you have this Portuguese origin dessert which they make so beautifully at Pousada .. you'll forget everything else. It's on my list when I return to Goa.
I'm more of a chocolate person, and i would never really go for something non chocolate unless I know what it tastes like. But we are so glad we had the Serradura.. it was incredible.. I want to go back !!!
Can't get over the place..so quiet and peaceful with it's lovely ambience and decor..the best place in North Goa I have been to and I would recommend this place to anyone visiting Goa and looking for a relaxing place to sit by the beach..known for it's speciality in Goan food, it's indeed one..the platters are amazing..the guy who served us, Joshwa, who also happens to be the owner of the place was extremely courteous and another reason for you to love the place !!

They have 2 dogs there which are very friendly
This place is amazing. Put simply it’s exactly the place you are searching for when you come to Goa - quiet, calm, beautiful with drinks and great food, right on the beach so you can watch the waves as you relax.
If you love seafood, you shouldn't miss the place. The food is on the expensive side over here but it's totally worth it. But, if you want to explore good quality food and don't mind the price, it is the place to go.
They shut shop early at 7pm; so be there early for a nice brunch or lunch.

Pousada By the Beach – had this place on my go-to list for several of my Goa holidays. And finally after several attempts, made it there a few months ago.
In the chaos of Calangute, I was pleasantly surprised by this place. Calm, clean and serene, almost like you’re disconnected from the otherwise busy area. To a point, some people refused to believe where I was – you got to see this place to believe my hype.
We got there for an early lunch, so the place for pretty empty. But an hour later is when the crowd kept flowing in. So do try to reserve in advance to not be disappointed.
Joshua was our host for the afternoon – friendly & polite, with some warm hospitality; almost like home :)
We started with some Sangrias. Whilst we waited for our food – Crusty Prawns, Peri-Peri Fish, Prawn Curry and Steamed Rice, along with some bread. The food was delicious, with a very homely feel to it. The best part for me was dunking that bread in the amazing curry – yum!
And all that to devour whilst you’re enjoying some gorgeous views, with the sound of the sea. Pretty much perfect.
One thing though, the price – it’s quite steep. So do be mindful of that, if you’re under a budget. But you’ve got to go here at least once, to experience Pousada By the Beach...
First things first. See the price of the menu. 'aukat hai toh jane ka'. One of the best in goa and away from that boring food. Veg part is limited but it very fine. Non veg as per my friends review it is awesome. You can give a try
Every visit to Pousada by the Beach warms my heart - from the excellent setting and view , the amazing drink selection and food. Had a fantastic aged Red wine Sangria while the son loved his Strawberry Diaquiri and the Mother gulped down her Tamarind Margherita.. and after some snacks to go with our sundowners we ended it with the stellar Serradura. But what has my heart every time is the fanatastic service and the kind attention that Joshua always accords to everyone who visits. His love and passion for what he does is clear to see. I highly recommend that everyone make the Pousada experience a must do every visit to Goa .
This place is AMAZING! So amazing that we went 3 times during our 5 days in Goa. The owner is lovely and gave excellent food recommendations. The food, though some say is expensive, is delicious and WELL worth the price. The staff is very friendly and attentive. The ambiance is so relaxing and beautiful. I could spend all day at this cozy restaurant. Pousada By The Beach is definitely a highlight of my Goa trip and I would HIGHLY recommend this restaurant if you’re looking for casual/relaxing beach vibes, friendly people, and the best Goan food you can find.
This restaurant is perfect in every way! Location, ambiance, food and service everything was spot-on. Our server was super helpful in helping us select the dishes. We tried the Peri-peri prawns and Veg Xacuti. Both dishes were brilliant. Special mention for the fresh lime soda which was the best I have ever had. Thoroughly enjoyed our meal. Although the prices are quite high as compared to other fine dining restaurants in Goa but still this place is a must-must visit!

Run by a father - son duo this is as personal a gastronomic service you’ll get anywhere in Goa. Almost everything here is brilliant! But in case you’re confused about what to order, just go ahead and get the Seafood Platter. Or just go ahead and order anything- you can’t really go wrong!
The prawn in mustard mint sauce was amazing. Breath taking view , nice place to spend time with your loved ones. Courteous staff..
By far the best Goan food i have tasted. The place embodies all things goan .. the chill vibe, the food and the friendly service . If you are in Goa.. this place is a MUST visit. And make sure to greet two friendly canines.. Chai & Biscuit :) .. looking forward to dine again ...
A very pretty restaurant by the beach. Lots of bougenvilla flowers near and around the entrance. Flavourful food. My family ate a mix of veg and non veg dishes- which they enjoyed. I got the owner’s recommendation on vegan dishes for myself. He also kindly accommodated my request to make my dishes without onion garlic. My vegan dishes were tasty too. The owner’s dogs were all quite cute too and had cute names like Chai, Biscuit 😊😊a nice afternoon spent!
the food was great. i had the steak and it was really juicy and good. the atmosphere was awesome and the beach was good. there were 3 very cute dogs belonging to the owner. on top of that the owner was also really kind and gave us free seashells. awesome place and i really recommend it
Dined for Sunday brunch a while back and still fondly remember the chorizo, calamari peri peri and oh my god - the sorpotel & butter garlic poie is a match made in heaven.

Love the place, vibe and concept
A must visit when In goa.
Amazing hosts Neville and his son Zoran. Restaurant is scenic and beautiful. Sunset view from there beachfront was really enjoyed by us. Their curated menu was perfect and worth it, Zoran personally took orders from the guests. The 3 Furr companions were icing on cake for pet lovers. Staff hospitality was warm and service was quick. Surely visiting them again whenever we go next. Thanks Neville, Zoran and team.

Went there on a Saturday afternoon for lunch ! There is no direct way to reach there and involves a bit of walking behind some shops and through the green lands. Its such a peaceful place ! By the beach, windy and lots of greens around..
The highlight was of course the food - we loved every dish we were served. Yes - its on the pricier side of things but if the good taste and variety makes up for it !!
We tried a multitude of options in appetisers, mains and desert. Everything from shrimp crostini, fried calamari, to veg and chicken xacuti, pork vindaloo tasted amazing !
Vindaloo here is a little to string with cinnamon - so its a hit or miss with food lovers. The soup was served in a tall cup- first for me but was brimming hot and full of flavours. Secondly, the fish & chips were really fresh (King fish) - really filling and perfectly golden brown dish.
The highlight for us was the desert- Serradora, Chocolate gelato and Paan flavoured ice cream. The betel flavoured ice cream also had Magic pops topping - the one that pops on your tongue.
The host Nevil is a charmer, very friendly and engages with all the guests. This place also has a (sort of) private entry to the Candolim beach. This side of Candolim beach is devoid of crowd so you can bask in the salty water and be peaceful by the beach.
Love this place and the vibe and the food! The hosts are cordial and warm and will help you select your food and drinks. I had shrimps and watermelon margarita, it was so delicious and filling. Thank you team Pousada by the Beach for making our lunch a wonderful experience. We will definitely come back. Keep up the awesome vibe and work! 😊
Highly recommend: it's a great place to go and eat out; beach front restaurant, with a perfect location that is set back just far enough to avoid noise from the road and beach.
Food standards were fantastic: we had a big group that had a mixture of meat, vegetarian, and vegan, all were catered for and explained every meal was lush.
It was a birthday celebration for twins, allowed us to bring a cake and do the whole candles and decorations for us.

Amazing place ! It’s very relaxing, and needless to say the food is scrumptious. Loved it, and I’m saving it to my favourites so that I definitely visit again 😁
Must visit cafe when u r going Goa.... Sea side cafe ... Best atmosphere, refreshing n gives good vibes.. the owner is friendly n very good person!
This place represents the best Goa has to offer; great beach and sea, great food, great service and people, and beach puppies! Have been coming since 2017 and place only gets better!
