Nice place to have quick snacks. We had ordered onion utappam and tea. Tea was very nice and utappam was also nicely cooked, sambhar and chutney were alao good in taste.
Udupi darbar is a small south Indian restaurant located just off the Calangute - Anjuna road, opposite shantadurga temple. It is my post hangover breakfast place when I don't want to go for "Goan" fare.
Till now i tried Upma and Idli, both r good in quantity and taste. Sambar's taste changes everyday.
Though it doesn't fit the Goa culture, definitely worth a try if ur looking for some change.

We had typical Goan dishes; chicken vindaloo, prawn balchao and fish thali with pomfret cooked with coconut. A bit spicy but we enjoyed the food. Those who don't like spicy food, should consult the persons in charge before placing an order.
Just on the road towards anjuna vagator etc , just is a nice pit stop to have a sip of tea and light snack, they even have full menu if you want to have lunch or dinner. Best part , its super pocket friendly.
Even though it's a place where we get idle, vada and sambar on other hand we can have brewers also, good food with nice menu n even tasty food
In this restaurant me and wife found the best food that we were searching for 2 days. For people who prefer home like food with less salt and spices.This place will feel like heaven. I personally thanked the 2 owners for their service.
Good quality, authentic south indian food well cooked and well presented. Chinese and Continental food also listed in menu. Prices are quite reasonable and service was excellent.
It's Veg restaurant and you will get an awesome food. It's much famous for south indian dishes and it's worth exploring in goa if you are vegetarian. We also tried Panjabi paneer sabji and the taste was awesome! I really liked the food of this restaurant.
Close to Calangute - candolim road. They serve various type of brekfast along with hot and cold drinks. Even they have some beer option. If you are looking for a south Indian brekfast around Calangute ,then this is the best place for you. Staff and owner are very cooperative. Lunch time starts at 12:30 pm if you want it. Food provided was good. Liquor also available. Separate space for families. North indian, south indian, Gujarati, panjabi all types of food available here. Staff is polite and helpful. All types of cards are accepted here.
It's a perfect place for breakfast and lunch. Would be better if you go there with a group of friends, not a couple place though. But food is worth a try.
You might feel why would someone go here when In Goa..but trust me, the food therein was one of the best south indian food I had. Must try the dipped idli. Yummmmmm
