Banyan Tree Restaurant in Goa is a hidden gem for those who appreciate authentic Thai flavors. The Pad Thai noodles we savored were a testament to the culinary expertise of the chefs. With a tropical ambiance, friendly service, and a well-curated menu, this restaurant is a must-visit for anyone looking to embark on a Thai gastronomic adventure in the heart of Goa.

A fantastic place, Shubham is a fantastic person, by all aspects be it suggesting about Goa, about the food. The entire place had the best team, literally fantastic. I went with a group of 50 people, and they nailed it PERFECTLY. The ambience is perfect, the food is FANTASTIC, the entire team is fantastic as well. A big highlight of our event in Goa, for sure. They accomodate ALL requests of ours which sounds impossible but was made possible. The artist for live music, was SO perfect that he transitioned to complex notes so smoothly that unless you're looking at him you can't recognise it's actually a person.

The king prawns were delicious, the crispy lamb and chicken satay were exceptional. The Banyan Tree chicken fried rice was a delicacy not to be missed. The Tom Yum and coconut soups were a culinary treat. The Pad Thai noodles were both spicy and flavorful. Riya was an excellent waitress, taking excellent care of us, paying attention to each and every one of our needs, and providing outstanding service. Meeting Chef Lily was a pleasant experience. It was considerate of her to stop by and say hello.

Went to Banyan Tree to tried Thai food which is my favourite cuisine and I can surely say that I was just amazed with the overall experience at the restaurant. Ambience of the restaurant is very well planned and it does give you a feel that you are at an Asian restaurant. Food menu is limited but does provide satisfactory options. Presentation of dishes are good so is of drinks. Staff at the restaurant is courteous and attentive , willing to go extra mile for giving a great customer service. I must mention about Ms.Riya who was our server, she was very friendly and polite. Overall I highly recommend the restaurant and thank you for a memorable experience.

Consisently-consistent!Thaiheaven! Ambience:300year old banyan tree stands in all its glory.Large, expansive out-door seating with sounds of water running along in beautiful landscape and geese strolling around.Wht more cud u ask for.Inside seating u are transported to thailand. Staff:Courteous,attentive.Well-versed with every course pf meal laid at the table. Chef:The ex-pat chef devong teases and tingles ur taste-buds from sweet and spicy to hot and tangy.U just dont want to leave. Amouse-bouche:The best crispy-fried wonton.Super crispy and delicious. No need for any dipping sauce. Its had honey-chilli sauce layered at the bottom. Tomyum Soup: Flavoured with garlic, galangal, chilli, soy. The fiery-soup stops u in your toes and makes u have one spoon too many.Oodles of vegetables jumping in each spoonful of goodness. Rawpapayasalad:This is light-healthy fantastic salad, spiced with red bird-eye chilli, garnish of peanuts and tang from lemon. An explosion of flavours! Tofu in garlic pepper:Beancurd a healthy option for all.The garlicky sauce is sticky and slightly sweet & the pepper just a hint hits u at the end.It wud perfectly go with bubble-tea Crispy fried water-chestnut: This is a dish i have learned to like only if its wow, which was wow for me.Chillibase with chillioil with garlic and hint of ketchup add the required element of punch and the dressing of seasame oil is bare minimal which takes it to another level of yumminess.Dusted in corn flour the deep-fried Phad thai noodles:The most famous thai noodle dish.I am a noodle doodle. The sauce is savoury, spicy, tangy, sweet. Exotic vegetables(Phadphak):This is light, healthy stir fry with wholesome vegetables. The flavours burst out with palm sugar, redchilli and oyster sauce. Green thai curry(gaengkiewwarn(ji):This is holy goodness of creamy velvety curry with all asian fresh herbs ground to a finepaste with first extract of coconut milk with a Medley of exotic vegetables.Words cannot describe how amazing the flavours are. Jasminestickyrice(khaommali):Authentic thai.Perfectly fluffy. The grains are glutenous. Its sticky it contains zero amylose and amlopectin making it sticky. Tubtim-grob:Made with coconut milk most popular with thai hot weather. The red-pink jewels are waterchestnuts covered with tapoica flour fried and served with sweetened coconut milk. Pricefactor:1000++ plus head Should u visit? If u want authentic thai, its all here. Happy Eating!

Best Thai curry I have ever had!! In my recent stay at Taj, I visited this restaurant twice and had both the green and the red curry, both were flavorful and delicious. I would say try the green first as it's the best. The son Tam salad was equally good and the vegetarian spring rolls too. They were non oily and homenade. Sandeep at the restaurant was very good in helping us choose the drinks and food. He infact recommended a Thai cooler which is not the menu but was so good to taste. I would definitely visit again on my next trip to Goa.

The Banyan Tree, as the name suggests is significant of the age-old banyan tree in the premises of Taj Holiday Village Resort and Spa. The pan-Asian cuisine offered here with Thai specialties had raised our expectations high when we visited the Taj Holiday Village for dinner while we were in Goa. Being greeted warmly by the manager Mrinal and Chef Teju at the onset set the mood right. We started off with Manchow Soup followed by Pla krapong prik thai (Deep fried fish on garlic pepper sauce). The soup was good and the fish was awesome. We also tried the Goong laiseau phad krapaw which was Stir-fried Tiger prawn in chili garlic basil sauce. As we love prawns, tiger prawns in chili garlic sauce were just amazing. The highlight of the evening was a Pla phad nam ma kham which was a deep-fried pomfret with tamarind chili sauce. It both looked and tasted yum. The bittersweet flavor due to the tamarind chili sauce and the extra soft fish made it a perfect match. For drinks, we tried the Thai Fruit Cooler which was aptly fruity and added to the overall experience of a delicious meal. All in all, it was a great experience being with the courteous and friendly staff and enjoying some wonderful delicacies. Looking forward to visiting the Banyan Tree again.

Perfection personified; Brilliant food & service - the proverbial Taj experience We visited the Banyan Tree in August of 2021, coincidentally on our anniversary evening and what a surprise & joy it turned out to be. From the time of reserving the table till the time our dinner ended and a subsequent visit to bid the Banyan Tree team (would want to mention Archita, Sandeep, Passang and Madhusudan at this point) a bye, interactions with them were nothing short of splendid. The meal by itself was excellent and was almost completely based on the recommendation of the staff - the Thai Fried Rice, the Pad Thai & the Thai-style stir-fried veggies were all top-notch (way more than 2-people can actually eat). The portions were liberal, the taste top-notch, and the food wasn't greasy at all. Subsequently there was a chocolate dessert to top-off the mail, but more on that later. The ambience of Banyan Tree is spectacular - in the midst of the landscaped greens of the Taj Holiday Village, the restaurant's main entry point is nestled under the ~300-year-old (at the very least) Banyan Tree, which not only provides the restaurant, but also extends a lot of character, shade, and calmness. The interiors are charming and reminiscent of a classic fine-dine restaurant. Finally, what literally is the show-stealer of the entire experience is their service (remarkably Taj). We were hosted, treated, pampered and borderline spoilt by the team led by Archita. They were more than pleasant, very engaging, and exceptionally warm. They made our evening more than memorable & special by every gesture possible - the recommendations were top-notch, the service impeccable, the conversations fun and hospitality was nothing short of sheer brilliance. They were personable & friendly, yet never intrusive - a very thin and oft breached line. To make our evening special, they not only wished or gave us a choice of seats (and decorated at that), they went out of their way to get us a cake to end the evening - gestures which are not only special but also unforgettable. In fact, so smitten were we, we've subsequently got our folks and another couple (friends) to visit and experience this hospitality. We'll back for sure, in the mean while just a big thanks to the BT team, take care & keep at it. You'll go places. Thanks Archita, Sandeep, Passang and Madhusudan
