Went in the evening for coffee and snacks. We had ordered vada and bajji. The coffee was asked to be served hot and strong and was served in the way asked for. Vada tasted good too. And we have a couple of times take away for dinner. The packing was good and the quality of the food and taste is also good. Their jigarthanda is one of the best in the city.
Has always trusted this place. Great coffee and the accompaniments for idly is amazing. Onion uthappam is a must try. Also the podi. Overall the place keeps your tummy happy for breakfast

fall under "worth visiting " category but under "MUST VISIT".
South Indian meals is very traditional and meets the expectations. Good ambiance and good service. Enjoyed the food served on a plaintain leaf

Awesome place to hang around and have some good dosas.the quality is very good and very quick service.Being a North Indian it was fun to eat on banana leaf and I enjoyed the ghee Lodi dosa
Great food, clean place, fast service and friendly staff. Gave a true taste of the actual South Indian. Podu idli, paneer dosa and jigarthanda especially suggested.

I'm residing in parry's for years, now only Murugan idli shop opened here, food is good, moreover
ambience is fantastic when compared to other branches, if u visit parry's, feel like having light food, go for it without any hesitation!
Anybody who is from Chennai knows about this place as it is quite famous amongst authentic south indian food lovers. They serve different types of Idlis on banana leaves with authentic chutneys on the side which is unlimited. The idlis are soft and tastes amazing even without any chutney.

I visited two Murugan Idli Shops in Chennai i.e. one in Velachery and other one in Paryys.
At both the places best part that I felt was their hospitality!
The way they serve the food on Bamana Leaf, the way they serve Sambhar on it (although you can ask for bowl for Sambhar), their variety of Chutneys.
All over experience was too good!
I will say that, if you have visited South India and haven't tried Murugan Idli Shop then your trip to South India is incomplete.

Good Hot Idlies with hot sambar and many chutney varieties. For Podi they charge extra. Good restaurant
I always enjoy eating at Murugan idly.... Love the taste of 4 different kinds of chutneys which they serve along with idly... Their Podi idly is a must try item.
Ironically we did not order idlis😄l had ordered ghee masala dosa with varieties of chutneys, sambhar and medhuvada, was very yummy and tasty.In the end we ordered special Jigarthanda, even that was superb with chocolate bubbles adding extra flavour. Only drawback which l found was the washroom as it was not clean, washbasin didn't have water too.So kindly take care of that.Overall l had a good experience. Thankyou guys.
The reason why Murugan Idly lost its shine as earlier because of its poor service and the taste is not as before.
They were too good before that's why people were very much in queue to wait but now it became a study for any entrepreneur to know how a company falls from top.
Hope they would rectify their mistakes and evolve
Best for idly and dosa in town everytime …… Sunday will be rush between 7-10 so plan accordingly …. Also there must try is Mysore dosa i personal loved it
All the chutneys are good...but the prices are so high...the high price list is just for the brand name...could have been better
