Great Food. Welcoming Service. This is the same restaurant (now a different name) as it was on Mount Road under the name, Gyan Vaishnav Punjabi Dhaba. I used to love this place and was sad when it closed. The Owner is the same as most important - the food, yummy-licious. Ambience might put you off but it's the food and it’s aroma that pulls you in. Do visit.

If you are punjabi food lover its your place in chennai. Ambience is ok ok 2/5. Staff and owner is very humble and nice 4/5. But for food its 7/5. Here you will find simply delicious and fantastic punjabi food which will full your stomach but not your hunger. Even if you are full you will wish to eat one more

The food had an authentic taste to it, which made it feel like home food. Good quantity and good value for money. Not a place to go if you are looking for a great ambience, but definitely one to try if you enjoy delicious food.

This place serves amazing North Indian food. Have tried out the paranthas and simply love their cooking in pure desi ghee. For a humble pang of hunger, their plain basic thali gives you sufficient to savour.
The other stuff like paneer n all are a tad bit on the spicy side and hence, are less preferable. Among other things, their dal fry and bitter gourd is also worth a mention.
Don't expect a great ambience but it stands true to its word of a 100% desi Punjabi kitchen. Definitely a worth a shot.

Serves good authentic north indian food. Had soup and panner starter. Ordered phulka and kadai veg. Phulka was so fresh and soft.
All the subzi and starters are little too spicy. Overall loved the food and the customer serivce. Will recommend to others for good vegetarian north indian food

Just for their lassi, butter naan and paneer, I'd absolutely visit this dhaba again! Their fast and good customer service is also a major bonus!

Excellent food. The makki ki roti, sarson ka saag was awesome. The buttermilk bottles were great. The malai kofta was super tasty. Authentic punjabi food. Two thumbs up. Bill for 3 people came to 800 odd. Worth every paisa.

Their onion kulcha is delicious. The bhindi dish too. They seem to follow even the minute instructions for delivery order. Which is a great plus. I don't approve of them serving butter milk in a used beer bottle. Raises a lot of hygiene issues in terms of cleaning, from where they procured. I'm never going to order that particular item again.

It was the time surprisingly we went to Desi rasoi's on the way after the purchase since my husband loves dhaba style food and so do I. Traditional Punjabi person might be the owner of the hotel was on cashier table giving a warm welcome makes more adorable. We ordered Punjabi de beer it was awesome chill with flavour and taste. Then we ordered naan roti with our favourite dhal makhini and bindhi masala. Bindhi masala was little spicy. But the rest was good and traditional Punjabi taste. Finally we had rasamalai... Delicious nd treat for our taste buds. Can improve the hygine near the wash area. Otherwise it's a good place to dine in who loves Punjabi food.

One of the best Punjabi vegetarian food I've had in the city. Ambience is good. Staff is very polite. If you really crave for "ghar ka khana" then this is the place for you. Suitable for family and friends.

Restaurant that's famous for authentic vegetarian Punjabi dishes..(. right in the heart of T.Nagar I, next to TTD temple in Venkat Narayana Road...).served piping hot and the aroma of desi ghee is appetising.. tariff is reasonable and service is fast and courteous... parking is an area of concern as there's no parking space for cars - can hold about six to seven two wheelers..had there been air-conditioning, I'd have given five 🌟 s... check prices as they are subject to change..

It's one of its kind wonderful place that Serves vegetarian food. The food has the authentic Punjabi taste. The staff are cordial. The food is served faster than many other hotels. The paneer tikka as a starter itself was very delicious. The buttermilk (Punjab da beer) is a sure must try item. The only problem in this place is parking. Apart from parking it's a must try place for anyone thinking of eating a good north Indian food.
