My childhood is filled with memories of delicious snacks from this place.: be it any outlet the quality of their product is the same and yummilicious.. it is pricey but the snacks and sweets are worth it.. you could say it’s almost addictive...

We went in after a rather heavy lunch; all we wanted to try was their thayir vadai. The thayir vadai, as recommended, was good. I'll have it again.
Pretty good! Must try their Jamuns and pedas or milk sweets! Granddad is a fan of pal halwa and the Kesar peda! We buy paniyarams or the seedais (both the sweet and spicy). Tastes authentic and as good as homemade!

A place that sells some good sweets and savouries all day long... I go to this place every weekend to pick up murukku chips mixture for the week... It cannot be possible that i visit this place and not order sweets... My usual pick is malai gaja or bombay gaja... Their moti chur ladoos are also good...
My lil one loves accompanying me as she gets a pista roll wrapped as a toffee... The people who work here are sweet and they always offer something to my lil one... It is a sweet gesture from them
Evening times this place gets crowded... Their vegetable bonda, bhajji, kuzhi paniyarum and coconut poli's are served hot and awesome... I love their badam milk and coffee... Its rejuvenating and addictive...
This place is the reason i am putting on weight... Every Sunday when i visit this place i tell myself it would be my last visit... But i end up going there the next weekend...
Their podi's and thokku are also very nice... I never bought as my wife makes them at home.. However i have tastes it at my friends place and it tasted really good...
Overall a simple place with some great consistent taste.. Friendly staff and hassel free billing makes me go here every week... Not a big fan of their chaats as there are many other places that serves better chaat
They have also opened up a restaurant which serves dosa's and other dishes piping hot..
Overall a nice place to go in weekends and enjoy your coffees with good savouries...

Great place for traditional Indian sweets and savory products! Price is slightly on the higher end, however, the quality is pretty good. Especially recommend this place for rasam powder, tamarind rice mix and similar products!
I was going to Mandaveli station, was hungry, this shop being near by went for it. This place is easy to locate. Next to Green Trends near station at main road. Small parking space is available. Hopefully we can manage with that space.
No question of ambiance since it is like a stand and eat fast food type. Service is decent. Ordered Sev poori, dahi poori and masala poori. Sev poori was not that great. Dahi poori was good. Masala poori my friend had said decent.
Price is slightly on higher side but OK if you consider the quantity and quality.

For a South Indian meal to be good the first requirement is the Rice quality. This is very good at this hotel. Sambar, kaara Kulambu, more Kulambu taste Homely. Rasam, Chappathi are exceptional. Curd OK. I would recommend everyone to try this hotel once if you happen to visit R. A Puram or surrounding areas. 105/- for a parcel meals is nominal. I also purchased fried rice and mini meals. They were equally good. Parking is available.
Definitely worth a try.
It was my first time in Chennai and having only a day, my friend was hell bent on me tasting the most famous chain of restaurants.
Having had idli, dosa at other places during the day, I wanted to eat something that was not too main-stream. Thats when we decided to share a plate of Kuzhi paniyaram. It was fantastic!
So soft that they almost melted in your mouth. Along with the tomato and the onion chutney it made for a perfect "chaat" like meal.
We also took home some of the other goodies like Hot Chips (banana ones) and Pepper Vada. But I did not like these at all.
Go there for have hot snacks, these are all over the city.
Excellent Food. Had Punjabi Thali. The best Punjabi dish in a South Indian restaurant. Tried dosa also good. Price is reasonable.
Need improvement in service, as all the waiters speaks local language only. So ordering something requires effort. Such a big brand with so many outlets this is not expected.
This place is truly a grand experience if you are looking for some authentic South Indian snacks and sweets. The quality of food is good. Have tried alot of their sweets and snacks and have never been disappointed. Chat is good, but you must try their bhajis and bondas as well. Served hot hot with chutneys. The smell of kapi(coffee), teasing your senses... oh! You must really experience. My mouth waters even as I write this :)
This place is an old house,and has alot of charm. The ground floor is the shop and chat counter; the first floor has a restaurant. everything is fresh and delicious. I've also bought pickles, and their pulikachal,and some other mixes as well. Good stuff!
Great variety usually associated with all Grand Sweets outlet. Murukku, thattai, chips. In addition savouries like samosa, chips. Sweets like kaju katli. Always well stocked! My favourite outlet as there's possibility to park your car easily compared to the Mylapore Madha Street outlet. Fast service, courteous staff.
One of those places you can go often with trust. The people are considerate, courteous and very reaponsive
Amazing Tambram style Tamil nadu lunch with the best filter coffee I have ever tasted. Turns out to be cheaper than HSB. 10/10 would return again!

Best quality products are available at this shop. Enjoy the sweets and snacks of traditional quality.
Best time to visit is after 11 am, when fresh and hot items arrive.
Never ever you complain of old items.
Every day you get fresh stock.
The "chat" shop too is fine
Pickles,podi items are extremely good and can be preserved for long duration.
All pastes n home made items are available including papads n Pickles. A bit pricy but worth having those instant paste mix to cook food easily.

A place where you get traditional and new varieties of sweets and savories. Neat and clean place. Car parking available. Chat shop is also there. Take away available. High quality with traditional touch is the benchmark of this outlet. Always tempted to step in whenever you cross the place.
The outlet has good bience and is neatly maintained. Products are of the best quality and taste, being so maintained for decades. Prompt and courteous service by staff at the counter. The overall experience is excellent.
The yesteryear experience is missing.
The chennai folks exhibit Zero Tolerance on services front or so it seems.
Grand Sweets misses the yesteryear grandeur somehow...

Its a good place to buy sweets and savouries but expensive. I feel after its exoansion to multi branch chain of hotels the quality of theit traditiinal sweets and savouries lost focus and quality.
Their food menu and quality is also average.
Its fine to visit when there is a lack of option once in a while
