Great place great people. Such a homely atmosphere with ambience that is soothing to the soul. I have tried Asian food in different places but the food in chao is awesome. Lots of options for vegetarians. Dumpling, corn tartlets, spicy hot and sour soup, corn soup, wasabi sauce, Thai curry. Felt so light after a three course meal plus dessert which is rare these days. Kudos to the chefππ red rubies in coconut milk reminded me of my moms payasam. Five spice chocolates mousse tasted great. This is the place that Me and my family will miss. Visit this place when you are in chennai. Margarita was much better than in LAπππ
Lovely place in the peaceful confines of MRC nagar. Excellent food and ambience. Chef Lama indulged some of our requests for items that were not on the menu even. The service staff were excellent, knowledgeable and attentive without being intrusive. Loved the private section with the long comfy couch and the giant tv. Must visit if you are in the neighborhood and in the mood for some south-east asian or far-eastern delights!
It's a perfect place for a contential food lover, who loves a drink with their meal.... The menu is not vast if u r expecting one, but the food is of perfect taste.... The sad part is they don't serve lobster anymore as people don't generally opt for that. Perfect ambiance, polite servers, and great touch in food.... I loved the starters part and the mock tail they had.
Been here with my team for buffet lunch. The ambience is very nice. Staffs are very friendly. The spread is ok and service is slow.
The food is tasty and the place is quite an calm. The buffet available here is of sit down type. Every item from starters to desserts will be served on table.
Pan Asian cusine that's the highlight. Will have to come back often to try all their specialty.

Chao is a must visit place.
If it's Pan-Asian it's gotta be there. The food is kick-ass, authentic. The Laksa Soup had all necessary flavors infused that I haven't found elsewhere.
The Tom kha n Kimchi salad was subtle n neat.
Vietnamese rice paper rolls were fun. Make sure you try the Sushi Sashimi platter there. Cheers to Manoj and the chef who make the place happen :)
Good ambience but a smallish restaurant. Menu looked good but the buffet was nominally priced and average fare. Nothing over the top but decent food. Good place to try.

Good oriental cuisines. A compact restaurant with good ambience. Efficient service. Some dishes appear pricey. Overall good place to go and try the different dishes.
Their food is very good. While meaning well, their service is aggressive and intrusive. Good ambience.
Proper Chinese. This dishes here would kinda be bland for those who are used to the usual Indian Chinese restaurants.
