The Miner Diner at Anderson Road is one of the unique themed Cafe's in Chennai! It's been here for a while, and is well-known for their waffles and a ambience that is suitable for those needing the calmness as well as those group of friends that would feel right at home with loud conversations. This place has separate partitions with wide spaces that makes it enjoyable for every type of person without much disturbance. I visited this place on Christmas Day over a contest they held at Instagram 2 days before Christmas, there had been a few confusions once I got there with another food-blogger who won the contest along with me. It was a negative experience for us a little. Hope The Miner Diner clears up the details over winning or making sure they stick to/remember what they offered over the next time they hold a contest! Nevertheless, the food here was amazing! They held up their reputation over serving some of the best waffles in town by making them the best! Their Curly Fries are to die for! If any of you plan to visit this place, you should definitely order their Curly Fries, they are the best in Chennai with the cheese and bell peppers. If you are a person who worships cheese( I mean, who doesn't? Right?), they have just the thing for you - The Mozzarella Sticks, with the chewy mozzarella cheese in the middle with the crispy cheesy outer layer. Cheese lover or not, you should try their sticks. The chicken waffle that we ordered were crispy and made us feel full with the right amount of cheese! They come around in three separate sandwich-sized double-layered waffles and is suitable enough to be eaten by two people! The desserts we tried were really good as well, I personally loved the Double Chocolate waffles, and the Apple and Cinnamon waffle wasn't bad either. Also, the Nutella Shake felt so good and as a Nutella lover I would assure you that there is nothing to dislike about this one, and it's gonna be my favorite menu item there henceforth! And finally, the Hot chocolate over there is good in all, I wouldn't say the best, but it was good. There were few Christmas decorations to make us feel the merrier and I also loved the cute Christmas hat that I got from them! Overall, at the end I loved the experience of visiting this restaurant. And about the service, they were really decent and polite, but the orders took a while to get to us, so hope they speed it up! Overall experience - 3.5/5 Food - 3.5/5 Ambience- 4/5 Service - 3.5/5 Their average food price is approximately Rs.500 for two people.

I went with my brothers family on friday night , the place had very simple decors and it was less crowded!! It was kids friendly ....they have a seperate room for smoking. The food on the whole tasted good i wouldn't say "wow this was soo nice" on any paticular dish. Have posted pictures and the bill below...do check out😊
