So one night we decided to go some restaurant in ECR road and landed on this Monk’s plate. Had Singapore noodles 🍝 which was super spicy 🥵 🌶 but delicious 🤤 as well . Also had chilly paneer which was way better n tastier than other restaurants. Other bowl is of Non-veg soup which I cannot elaborate much as it was order by my friend.
This place has its own surrounding and a bit small where you can’t go with large number of people but yeah you can check for availability and go. I would highly recommend this place for group outing but not for family outing as it’s a bar come restaurant so!
Very good ambience in a lovely location of ECR. Food is good and taste can be improved. Cocktails is a must try though a bit expensive. One of the rare bar in Chennai who serve Hooka in the roof top.
We chose this place for get together with friends as it was kid friendly and also serves alcohol.
This place is after VGP on ECR and very easily noticable.
We booked table in advance, the ambience was great with light music which helped us to have great conversations.
We ordered BBQ chicken wings, prawn tempura, loaded French fries and Mutton Sukka (which was day's special) for starters.
BBQ chicken wings were juicy and yum..
Mutton Sukka meat was cooked perfectly and was tender
🍟 And Prawn Tempura was great too...
Then we ordered Chicken Pizza, Chicken Ceaser Salad and spicy Singapore Noodles for Mains...
All mains were great..
Only feedback in terms of improvement is service.. it needs to be much prompt and quick not that it was bad but it can be better..

Very tasty food, especially prawn tempura, i saw the article in QUORA about Monks Plate and we tried , Yah it's really nice. The best restaurant in ECR, chennai. I like the taste and service in Monks Plate. Recommended To Everyone.
Had dinner with my friends. Menu is perfect. Beautiful and cool atmosphere, road side view, party place, its happening in ecr, near VGP resort. Never miss it.. elite place..Dishes are serving with the smiling face☺️look and feel is very nice.. try today..

Birthday bash at Monk's Plate, the best resto bar in chennai, we had great evening, weekend party, disco, music, lots of fun, great place. Good service. Ambience is very nice. Enjoyed a lot. Tasty mouth smashing food. Awesome
