It's good to see the crocodiles, Turtles, Snakes nearby the city range. Some giant turtles and snakes are there. But there is no car parking, you can put it on the main road with 20Rs charge. For kids it's free, adults 100Rs. Can spend 1hr there. Lots of birds excretion are there in the cage which creates a foul smell. possible that can be cleaned.
It was a great experience! Our guide Mani was very knowledgeable and showed us the whole park at leisure.
It was well kept and it was a treat to see the crocodile being fed a whole chicken!

Its a one-time visit place if you're interested in reptiles and crocodiles and are interested in learning more about them. They have a large amount of crocodiles in there, though lazy but fun to watch. There are description boards every to help you identify the species of crocodile and know about them. Its not very large but gives you plenty to watch.

A good place for kids to pass their time on a weekend. Maintaining these many crocs is really a tedious one. But everytime I visit the place, I can feel the bad smell coming. Not sure why. Also the water seems not at all changed. That's why many crocs don't dive into water.
Must visit touristy place when you visit Chennai/Mahabalipuram. Neatly maintained habitat for wide range of crocodiles and other reptiles like snakes, turtles, tortoises etc. you can spend 1-1.5hrs here and kids will love. They charge 100Rs for adult and 50Rs for kids 3+ years as an entry fee.
It is located next to kovalam and is a good place for families & kids to enjoy their day by going on a long trip to ECR. It's a small park which ends too soon, but the best part is the snake pit, where the caretakers explain about 4 varieties of snakes well. You can complete the trip by spending 2hours in the bank and the travel 15kms to reach Mahabalipuram.

But they haven't maintained it properly, it was not clean. Because the glass panel was too dirty and not clear.

It is a splendid place to visit. You can see a huge variety of crocodiles and other reptiles including snakes, tortoises, turtles, etc. There is also a snake extraction centre inside, where they will show the process of extraction of poison from a snake. There is a small tuck shop where you can buy snacks or drinks. At the exit, there is also a souvenir shop where there are a lot of toys, keychains, etc. Worth it !!

Maintained well, but the size of the area and number of the crocs has been reduced. Recent news said some moved to Gujarat. It was much bigger a few years back than today what i saw. The oldest croc picked from IIT is not there. 20 years back, I had an opportunity to carry a baby crocodile. But it's on AR and VR.
Snake venom extraction is always the highlight. Specctacled cobra, ruseel viper and saw scaled viper and the Dangerous krait is always a mesmerizing to see.
Worth to take kids to know about the knowledge . It has 15 out of 25 species of crocodile once upon a time.
The giant tortoise and turtle are nice to see. Ganges Gharial. Though i have failed to see false gharial as well. Are the night trails still existing is a doubt and also the feeding time changed may be.
There was also a time paid for feeding the crocs , which i missed it today.
Junior zoo keepers is one of the wonderful activity for enthusiasts, and be a zoo keeper for whole day.
Ganges Gharial at its best in the aquarium along fishes and freshwater turtles was a true excitement for my little one. Went up and saw and came again to the glass see thru view.
