A decent restaurant to hangout with friends. Some dishes were exceptionally good and some were average. Their milk bubble teas were good. Pasta was average. Chicken friend and cream was good. Tempura prawns were crispy and nicely cooked. The bill was close to 5k for a group of 7.

Just perfect...more than I expected 😍. Awesome food and service. Very polite people and calm place. Both veg and non veg foods are great and also the cake, sooo soft and spongy but it's made of egg so all veg friends out there you guys can avoid it. Also coffee is very less in quantity but too expensive. Still I'm rating 5 because of their food quality, the way they served it and their behavior with their customers. Try only Boba tea, milkshake and main course.

Another Thai restaurant in Chennai. For starters - we ordered chicken satay,Tempura prawns and lotus stem. The lotus was best among the starters and would recommend to try it. I really liked their bao as well. Pad Thai was horrible and ruined to the core. The bubble tea were good but felt overpriced. The ambience was nice with some wall graffiti outside. Overall - good place for one time experience.

Just stumbled upon this cafe.. the ambiance is good. Tried Japanese cheese cake and hazelnut bubble tea.. loved the tea. Cake tasted good too but could have been bit More spongy.. atmosphere is good but unfortunately ppl kept banging the kitchen door which was annoying.

I would rate this place as one of the most authentic thai, asian and chinese food restaurants in chennai. Food price might seem expensive but is worth every rupee. Their bao is a must try, and their noodle and rice options with wild mushroom lotus stem and few more veggies that i have not heard of or seen are excellent, these things add to the experience of eating at an authentic asian restaurant. All their noodle, rice, bao are amazing. Do check this place.

Cafe de Bangkok , Chennai is a gem that excels in every aspect of a dining experience. The pricing is reasonable for the quality of authentic Thai cuisine served. The ambience is simple yet it creates a delightful atmosphere, enhancing the overall enjoyment. The service is top-notch, with young attentive staff ensuring you of a pleasant meal. What sets it apart is the owner exemplary attitude towards patrons – warm, welcoming, and dedicated to providing a five-star experience. A must-visit for those seeking exquisite Thai food coupled with exceptional service and a welcoming owner. Overall experience: Service ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Ambience ⭐️⭐️⭐️ Simple! Food ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

I had visited this place for lunch on Saturday based on a review. I always try soups be it any kind of cuisine. So started with coconut milk based soup which was kind of tangy and could have been better. For starters had prawn dimsum, cajun grilled fish and red chicken curry bao, all the three were really good so definitely give a try. Then main course we had ordered pink sauce pasta, chicken pizza and chef special thai noodles ,I personally liked their noodles and pizza . So better try only their thai specials. We tried different types of bubble teas like dhai chang coffee base, matcha , orange, milo and mixed berries . Bubble teas were ok. Overall i find the ambiance and service really good. A nice cozy spot for small family and friends meetup.

One of the best cafes as of now in Chennai. It's leaning a little towards the pricey side, but every dish is worth the money being paid! The bubble teas there are my favourite.

TLDR; Absolutely try and this is a place to revisit. The portions are large. The price is affordable and the Thai food is excellent. Expect a wait for most items, especially the Papaya Salad, Noodle Salad and Chicken Larb and you'll be glad you were patient. They make things only after you order. Also they don't use MSG. 5/5 Papaya Salad and Noodle Salad - Be prepared to wait almost a life time for the papaya salad and the noodle salad. But it is so worth it. The flavor is the same. One is with delightful bouncy and slightly chewy noodles and the other is with raw papaya. Both of them have the same spicy, citrusy and fresh taste. The marination takes upwards of 15 minutes for sure. It is so juicy. The papaya salad is is my litmus test item in Thai places. Whenever I see a papaya salad on the menu, even non-Thai, I always get it so that I can see whether it compares to the one at Cafe de Bangkok. None of them come close and most of them are sweet or dry as heck. 4/5 Khao Suey - Delicious and has the thickest soup base of all the places that serve it in Chennai. The others all have way too much coconut and it tastes like baby food. The one here has a good handle on the coconut milk so that you taste the curry more. The crispy noodles may seem so unnecessary at first glance. However, it soaks up the curry flavor and softens up so that it becomes a good vehicle for the curry 4/5 Tom Yum Fried Rice Veg - It is huge and spicy. It is made using tom yum paste. I'm not a huge fan of tom yum fried rice so I'd pass on getting this next time, but it is executed well. 4/5 Larb Gai or Chicken Larb - minced chicken with fresh thinly sliced onions, lemon juice, and a nutty tasting powder. This is also another litmus test item at any Thai restaurant. They do a great job. It is juicy and the chicken is always well cooked. This also takes a bit of a wait to receive. 2/5 Mamak Mee Goreng - Was way too sweet and tasted like Maggi ketchup. They do have two types of mee goreng the sweet and the non-sweet and I was expecting this one to not be sweet. I raised an issue to the waiter of the overwhelming sweetness and they offered to replace the item promptly. 2.5/5 Skip on the chicken satay here. It didn't really taste like chicken satay. It tasted like a bland meat. I've been here 3 times over the past few months. I've never tried and most likely won't try their non-Thai items. There are too many Thai dishes that I like here. Haven't ventured into trying their seafood items yet!
