Order: Beef fry, mutton curry, appam, Kerala parotta and wheat parotta. Very cozy setup and very informed people in the restaurant. The host was able to suggest dishes very well and the quantity was very good. Pricing is reasonable and the overall experience was great. Got to experience the appam and beef fry without fail.

A decent kerala cuisine. This is a very small place and is in the first floor. The place is always less crowded. Happened to eat Mushroom Kizhi parotta, Kerala parotta, Kadala curry, Appam and egg chilli fry. Everything tasted good.

Good Kerala Restaurant in the Velachery main road near madipakkam. Food tastes spicy and good. Karimeen polichathu was highlight, please try this dish it is their signature dish. All the items we ordered was spicy but tasty. Mutton pepper fry was too good. Dinning space is little. Parking for bike is okay but for car I believe it is congested. Ambience was average. Hand wash areas need to be improved. Service also can be improved. Overall it's good and can try atleast once with friends or family. Definitely not kid friendly.

Wow factor Food quality is good and the menu. Both Tamilnadu and Kerala rice are serviced based on the customer wishes Presentation and ambience are very great This restaurant is located at the 1st floor so that the customer can sit relaxed and enjoy watching the outside doors through the mirror 🪞 which is impressing Kumarakom is a tourist place in Kottayam, Kerala. So the restaurant name is kept as Kumarakom and the taste is also like a Kerala style Parking is available at the ground floor. This restaurant is very near to Velachery Railway station

Food is quite nice & spicy and I can relate the taste to Kerala origins. Place is quite cramped but vibrant. A word of caution: the non vegetarian meals will cost 136 Rs higher than vegetarian meals, and only small fish curry will be provided in addition. It's advisable to order veg meals and get few non veg dishes separately. The pulpy grape juice was quite a companion with spicy food.

Got to try this place after hearing a lot about them. Dinner starts at 7.00 pm. Don’t get there too early, you’ll have to wait. Biriyani wasn’t up to the mark. A lot of vanaspati(Dalda) in biriyani. There are better and great Malabar biriyanis in the town. Beef fry was tasty. Good service by the staff. Good ambience. Beautiful playlist of Malayalam songs. It’s a good feel. Their Appams are really great, don’t forget to try them.

Nice experience. Friendly staff. But you have to wait to get your table and your food. During the waiting time they can give the menu and take order for our the customers depending on the waiting time because of the crowd. Why I am telling you this based on my last Sunday experience only. We went there and waited in the reception more than 15 minutes and again waited in the lounge for 10 minutes and around 10 minutes for the waiter and another 15 minutes for our food served. In the 50 minutes time they simply told No biryani available. Then we have completed with starters and fried rise only without main course. But unfortunately we got plain rise and we managed it with some fish masala like main course. Other than this issue you can definitely go to this restaurant for Kerala authentic taste.

Kumarakom Restaurant is one of the best for authentic kerala style cuisines. The quality and taste is standard for years now. However their new location space is very small and cramped. Pls do visit and share your feedback.

I highly recommend their Appam/puttu with Kadala curry ,parotta is so flaky and soft ,also the payasam is so good. My friends regularly order Beef Ularthiyathu ,Chicken Pepper curry ,Parotta and they love it. They do have good amount of veg options. Have experienced both dine in and delivery. Waiters are polite and do good service.
