One of the best breakfast place is Darjeeling. This is situated at a walking distance from Mall road, just opposite Tom and Jerry Cafe.
This place doesn't serve meat, but eggs. The shop is managed by one couple, who are pretty great with service as well as communications. They have the amazing toast, fried eggs, Nepalese cheese, hasbrowns, pan cakes and most importantly amazing filter coffee. Only thing is they don't have any meat items when we visited last time. However the food here is far better than other bigger names in Darjeeling. It's a must must try. One wont be disappointed for sure.
A lovely tucked away place with a very homely feel. We ordered the set breakfast and pancakes with banana honey and nuts.
The pancake was very thick (as are all pancakes I have tried so far in Darjeeling) but they were soft and fluffy.
I personally preferred the set breakfast. The brown bread was really nice quality and the tomatoes were cooked to perfection. The eggs lovely and not over cooked. Would come again for the savoury breakfast. Hot chocolate was nice but the ginger lemon honey was very strong too much ginger could not finish. Lovely couple running the place. Feels like your family.
Hidden gem in Darjeeling. The breakfast platter was freshly made and so fulfilling. Hashbrown was topnotch and tomatoes was too juicy. Best one I ever had so far. Instead of Kaventer's we went there for 2days. No line ,no hustle bustle, such a calm and peaceful little place to have your morning Chai and hot breakfats.
It's quite a hassle to navigate to the restaurant since it's located on a narrow and steep alley.
We had read so many praises about this joint on Google Maps that we took the effort to travel here.
The place is managed by a wife-husband duo. Both of them are quite wholesome and welcoming.
The items ordered are made fresh from scratch, so the waiting time is longer than most other restaurants.
We ordered hash browns, fried eggs, cheese omelette, scrambled eggs, and a pancake with banana and honey.
The hash brown was quite crispy and tasty. Fried eggs, omelette, and scrambled eggs were as expected.
The pancake was huge, with generous amounts of sliced bananas and honey on top. It was extremely soft, and tasted very nice! Probably one of the best pancakes I've ever had.
The pocket pinch was economical.
The lady (who is also the chef) took time to sit and chat with us, since it was raining that day and she didn't have many customers to serve yet.
The overall experience was great. Highly recommended!
Hands down the best breakfast in Darjeeling… maybe even India! Sonam’s humble kitchen makes (in my opinion) the most delicious hash brown and black coffee. On top of this Sonam and Puran are lovely warm hearted hosts. A must visit if you’re hungry in Darjeeling 🙏🏻
This small restaurant is family run by Ms Sonam. Had breakfast with Coffee. Taste is super. Non veg is not available except for eggs. But the food is prepared with lot of love and heart. Ingredients are sourced mostly locally and tastes great. This is a place where you unwind and have good food.
I have ordered pan cake, hash brown, toast, cheese omelette.. hash brown platter is divine.. specially cheese omelette. But i didn't like pan cake. It is not yummy at all.
Had the best pancake ever. Coffee was also great. Lovely folks. They don't serve meat.
A lesser known gem in Darjeeling.
Drop in for a special breakfast menu built around Hashbrowns, Eggs, Pancakes and Coffee.
The owners cook themselves and serve you with utmost care and love. And I even had a hearty chat with them.
Please note: They don't serve sausages, bacons, aloo parathas or kachoris. More reasons why this kitchen is so unique and has its own charm.
Food Taste is awesome. Service is good. Aunty and uncle's behaviour was also good. Must try pancakes. It was an awesome experience.
