We stayed here for 4 nights. The rooms were big and clean, but need some updating. My 5 stars are for Pravin, our waiter. He went out of his way to provide excellent service everyday. One night when the fireplace was not lit ( we went in January) he made sure sure my mom had a hot water. He also picked us up at the Mall road , since you have to walk a little bit to reach this hotel.
The food here was very good, most days we had an English breakfast. But the Indian one was super tasty as well. All days we ended up eating dinner here, since it was mostly convenient and also very tasty.
The rooms had good views an generous windows. The location of the hotel is also is very convenient. Would surely like to stay here if we go back again.
Cozy little hotel with good food. Their main attraction for me was the Happy Hours between 5pm and 630pm everyday, where they give a 35% discount on alcohol. Their bar is also better than most restos in Darjeeling and within reasonable price range.

Firstly,I wanted to clear the fact that I am submitting my review about Hotel Shangri-la Restaurant and Bar, because My booking was shifted to that hotel from Shangri-la Regency. But,I am very much pleased with the staff's behaviour at the hotel Shangri-la restaurant,They were so much helpful and very much well behaved.And the location of the hotel was excellent,only 3-4 mins walking distance from mall road.Specially,all the topmost restaurant like Glenarys,Keventers,kunga etc are just 4-5 mints walking away.The rooms were so freaking clean and spacious (specially best for family travellers).They will give you a daily room service.The complementary breakfast was awesome and the food was delicious and yes,from the rooms,you will get a wonderful view of Darjeeling and Kanchenjunga.So,I can surely say,this is one of best hotels in Darjeeling near mall road or chowrasta.
I would love to come here and stay here again and again❤️

Located along the Nehru Road just off the Mall. This review is for the restaurant. If is a place for fine dining in a relaxed pace. The Chinese dishes are their strength and they are very good. Service is very good but on the slower side. The kitchen closes by 9.30 pm and there is usually a waiting period around dinner. The bar has good choices in a reasonable price.
Lovely place. The ambience is lovely & staff courteous. They really make you feel comfortable. The food is great! Had traditional Tibetan food there, very well made & delicious! It's located on a crowded Street on the way to Chourasta. Can't get a vehicle to the door but the walk will be worth it!
Great stay... perhaps the BEST HOTEL, equipped with all amenities in a good location adjoining Darjeeling mal, Glanery's, Keventers, market, also is not too far from the parking area ... staffs are courteous & very helpful ... highly recommended 👍👍

Impressed, we’ve stayed for 2 nights. The room was extra spacious yet cozy, the Internet was ok to watch youtube, the geyser lasted long enough to have a proper shower (first time in Darjeeling), the heater hot wayer bags was powerful enough to sleep warmly (we live in Bangkok where 40C is normal temperature), the breakfast was very tasty (we’ve tried both Indian and Western options) accompanied by a tiny vase of colorful flowers, the staff speaks excellent English and goes beyond any expectation to create the best staying experience.

Love the food and ambience of this place...perfect place to hang out with friends or enjoy a family dinner...the price is also reasonable considering the quality and quantity of the dishes.
Loved the ambiance as well as the tasy foods. Whenever I visit Darjeeling, I used to have dinner in this restaurant. Though the service is a bit slow but the food compensates all.
Stayed three nights between 10th and 13th Aug 2019. We were allotted room no 103, a suite room that was big, comfortable and well decked up. The room had a queen bed, a cupboard, tea & coffee maker. The sitting arrangement was nice and cozy.
Food from the Shangrila kitchen was beautiful.
An area, they should work upon is regular housekeeping and quicker service.
