Located on near Malsi Dear Park, Mussorrie Road this is the newest addition to the doon. It is named as First Gear Cafe since if you are taking your car you will have to put it in 1st Gear since this cafe is located on height.
This place is good since you can enjoy amazing food with the view. Place looks amazing especially during monsoon and winters.

I have been here several times.
The location is super amazing. The view from the top is greattt. Plus their food is good too. I have tried their honey chilli potatoes, chicken lollypop and maggi. Everything is super amazing.

a restaurant with fantastic location that can win anyone's heart.location in the lap of masoorie first gear cafe is very famous for its location as well taste.i ordered chicken lollipop which was so crispy and delicious.
I have lived in both Delhi NCR and Dehradun and I have lost count of the places where I have tried honey chilli potato as it's my fav dish. However, hands-down this place will ALWAYS be my go-to place for honey chilli. Although on my recent visit, I noticed that the honey chilli were tooo dry as if it's been overcooked. There was no sauce/gravy. 4 stars cuz the quantity can be increased as per the price and could get a little creamier.
The ambience outdoors is very pretty. The lush green view feels so soothing.
First gear cafe is according to other cafes, very different, well organized and having beautiful scenes.

The views are amazing and also the location of this cafe is incredible and food is lovable and delicious. If anyone wants to eat some good food come here.
My all time fav place for Paneer Sandwich and coffee. Great Panoramic view of whole city, shiv Mandir and Rajpur. Personally, paneer sandwich & coffee is my go to food and I find best at First Gear Cafe.
Come here right after a rain shower and you will fall in love with Dehradun - all over again.
Keep in mind - if you are not confident about taking your vehicle up to cafe, park it on the roadside and climb up hill by foot. I always find 3-4 people rolling down the road with their vehicles every time I visit.
I like the location , the view is amazing , I tried their 3 cold beverages 1: 1st gear bemisal ( guava based ) 2: 1st gear punch ( cole with crushed ginger and lemon ) 3: Oreo shake and I loved all of them . I had their chicken burger it’s was ok. I stayed and worked here for 3-4 hours and love it , great view and staff is good

Going there since 2016 and I must say every visit is worth. Located at a little height from main road , the views from this cafe of doon valley and shiv mandir is mesmerizing. Food on the other hand is good enough to satisfy your taste buds. Tried pastas, sandwiches, momos, mocktails, pizzas everything is good. Evenings are the best time to visit.
This cafe is located at an amazing location giving you a chance to have a beautiful view of mountains while enjoying your meal. Name of the property is justified as you have to take a steep road in which your car will demand you to put it in first gear. Food was tasty. Honestly, I was not happy with the cold coffee, they can work on it but apart from that everything was amazing.Noodles were yummy.
Parking space is good.
They have both indoor and outdoor seating arrangement. Staff is very good, polite and professional.
