If you are a Japanese food lover, you have to go to Ebisu and you’ll be mesmerised with Ambience, Hospitality and Food.
Authentic and amazing experience....the ambiance was great and the food was delicious. You can experience the warmth of Japanese hospitality.
Whether it be the split curtain entrance which reminds you of a traditional place or the loud greetings of ''Irasshaimase" one can not resist being transported to 'Nihon' (Japan)for a cozy meal.
We Tried- kasane Tonkatsu,Nigiri Sushi Goshu Moriawase, Sake (Sawa No Tsuru), Ebisu Delight (Peach Based)
•• First things first Ebisu has two dedicated menus for 'Lunch' and 'Dinner'.
•• The place is frequented by resident Japanese Salary men.(We were pretty much the only DESI people there!), This speaks volume about the taste. ••The place has two types of seatings available, the first is The general table-chair seating arrangement(opt for it if you want the usual) or a private neo-traditional one, with call buttons(we chose this one obviously!)
••The private place can be used to host large gatherings by simply removing the wooden partitions between the tables.
••The ever-courteous staff makes it a point to cater to all your needs, while you kick back and have a cozy meal. (don't get too consious when they would personally keep your footwears aside for you) ••The place had a DEDICATED SMOKING AREA too!
.
🍣PROS: Food, ambience, staff .
🍣CONS: Expensive alcohol, food priced towards the higher end, absence of washroom.

🍽 7/10
Excellent place for Japanese cuisine. They also have decent veg options. Limited sake options though. Service is very good and the ambience is lovely.
I went there with my family and friends. It was our first visit to this restaurant. The ambience was truly Japanese. The seating gave you the feeling of eating the traditional way. The hosts were all Japanese. The ambience was truly Japanese.
We ordered for vegetarian appetizers - steamed soya and aveg sushi along with salmon and tuna sushi. The food was awesome and filling. The sushi was simply awesome and one could get the taste of having authentic sushi. For the main course we had chicken curry and noodles.
Both were awesome. The visit was on August 11th but we are heading back again this week as there is so.much more to savor. If you like authentic Japanese then you got to be here.
Fantastic experience of authentic Japanese cuisine as well as great service.
Very authentic Japanese place with low seating. We had salmon and some sushis which were great. The vibe is very quite and you see a lot of Japanese crowd which defines the authenticity.
Must visit!
From being challenged about Japanese food to being bowled over by it. Ebisu punches all the right buttons. Just to make it clear I ate Vegetarian and was completely in love with their food. The staff is courteous , prompt and non intrusive. Highly recommended this place.
If someone is in love for japanese cuisine, a must go place. Authentic japanese culture can be seen here while dining. Great food prepared and wines served in japanese way. Hence great for those who enjoys japa food.
This restaurant is known for its near authentic Japanese food, great hospitality, excellent cuisine, great ambiance, perfect guest service and most delicious, fresh, satisfying food
I will rate this 10/5 if possible.. they serve authentic, very tasty Japanese cuisine. You might pay a lot of money for food but very few places will make you feel lost with the very first taste. Thank you for the politeness and hospitality. Their food calmed me down!
I would give it a 10 on 5 rating if I could.
You enter this place and it seems like you've reached another part of the world.
Cute little japanese place that is authentically Japanese in taste and feel.
Been here twice and had an amazing time.
You enjoy your meal while sitting in the original japanese style with floor level tables (see pic!).
Only downside- they do not pack your leftovers!
I hate to waste good and always pack what's left, but here you can't do that.
I recently dined at this Ebisu Japanese restaurant, and I must say, it was an outstanding experience! The ramen and chicken skewers were simply amazing, bursting with delicious flavors. But what truly stole the show was the cheesecake. I'm not usually a fan of cheesecake, but this one was the best I've ever had. It was incredibly smooth and not too sweet – a true game-changer for me.
The service was attentive, and the atmosphere was welcoming. Highly recommended! Cannot wait to be back
Excellent tasting food though the portions are a bit small. On weekends the service is a bit slow. Overall the experience was great.
Went out with the family for a fine dining meal. The sashimi and takoyaki were excellent. The tonkatsu was authentic, but more an acquired taste. The desserts were absolutely fabulous across the board.
The place is absolutely authentic, serving a japanese clientele but also accessible if it's your first time
My only small grip was that the food service was almost too fast, meaning the meal wasn't as paced. Perhaps that's because we ordered everything at the start?
If you love japan and its culture, do visit this epic place in gurugram. It's a hidden gem that not many people know, typical Japanese vibes, everything from Japan, even the natives eat there. The food was awesome, exactly the taste of japanese cuisine, no Indian flavours at all. Had the yakisoba(chicken), curry rice with chicken and chicken tempura. Timely served fresh food. They do offer sake, wine and soft drinks.
Do try the mochi wagashi, it's the best dessert I ever had.
Loved the vibes and waitresses kindness. Do ask for recommendations, they know very well what the person would like.
Great food. There is wait time so book in advance. Quick service I liked their beer. It’s really refreshing. Sitting is bit tight so no room for private conversation.
A simplified menu is always worth it.
Some rice, starters, desserts and a whiskey highball
The highball was a bit sweeter than we expected and the dessert choice was wrong from our side, should have gone for the usual matcha cheesecake!
However,
They helped us get a good table on a busy day and served us hot food.
That is all a customer wants on a cold night!
This place has only gotten better with time! The food is great and very authentic. Best part is that they have food which you can enjoy even if you don’t particularly like Japanese food (Robata grill items)
They also have draft beer!
Book ahead if you want to get a private room to dine in.
100% one of my most favourite places in Gurgaon for a meal
Visited Ebisu last weekend, it’s a cool place. The food was decent, this place is more for meat lovers and less for Vegetarian or Vegan eaters.
If you are around Gurgaon DLF Phase 5, it’s in the building where bikers cafe is! Try it
Absolutely amazing food. We had chicken tempura, corn tempura, tonkatsu curry and mochi ice cream. Quantity was adequate for two people.
Service was prompt and friendly. Ambience was great, seating was a mix of traditional Japanese floor seating and regular seating. However you have to reserve to get the Japanese floor seating.
Our whole family went here to have dinner this March. It was amazing. The price is definitely on the costlier side, and the portions have been reduced compared to when we went there last time in October 2021. But the food was amazing. The servers are very polite. The ambiance is comfortable. I love the dim lighting. It’s definitely a family restaurant if you want to go there with kids. Their fish menu is extensive as well.
