The besttttt jalebis i've had are from here! It's light, crispy and not overwhelmingly sweet, so you can keep eating more and more!

Another favourite from here is the ghatiya, which is paper light and not oily at all. Packets and packets are parcelled off from here and it gets over in a blink.

A lot of snacks like bajjis and kachoris are available here too and a variety of delicious sweets! Tried the tea and badam milk from here, which like everything else here was rich in taste.

If you are at mattanchery, don't miss to try out this place! Always been my favourite spot. You'll get the besttttttt and Crispy Jalebies!!! Omg, it's sooooo yum. The combination of Jalebies with gatiya, AWESOME! Also they got many other mouth-watering sweets. Loved the snacks part too. They serve very yummy kachoris, Bajis etc. And just try out the hot badam milk as well. It's real and rich.๐Ÿ˜๐Ÿ‘Œ Even though it's a very tiny place, they are doing a great job!

Only love and craving for this place!โค๏ธ

This place doesn't need an intro... And if you are looking for sweets for this Diwali for your loved ones & family, this is the right spot.

They have introduced new items to their sweet box , made of chocolate (white chocolate and chocolate), Kaaju sandwich, halwa and many more.

Loved the chocolate sweets and the Kaaju sandwich (colourful layer of Cashew)

Thought of having a samosa as well along with these newly introduced sweets..

A must try on the occasion of Diwali!!!

A must try place in Mattancherry for sweet tooths. The place is run by Gujrathi's and is opposite to the Gujrathi School.
As with all other places here, parking will be a problem on a busy day.

Seating might be an issue, but who cares if you have sweets all around you.

Try out the Kaala Jamun for sure... its awesome.

This is a must try spot for sweet tooths who love traditional Indian sweets. The drinks and sweets were top class. Its a must try spot. Parking is a bit difficult to find if you are going in a four wheel. Would be better to go there in scooty or bike. The service was really good. Their owner was veery friendly and forced us to try a lot of their items by giving samples.

Shanthilal S Mithaiwala, a confectionery haven, is a testament to the art of crafting exceptional fresh sweets that leave an indelible mark on the taste buds. Great little shop situated a few minutes walk from Mattencherry Palace, we stopped off here on our way home on our last night in Kochi to pick up some snacks for our family. We got a couple of packs of both Banana Chips and Acchapam (rose biscuits), and a packet each of kappa (tapioca chips) and jackfruit chips, and on top of that 200gm of gajar halwa, and it all came to just Rs. 533. And it was all excellent quality. I only wish now that we had gotten a lot more because not even a day later and most of it is finished!

Unmatched sweet and savory experience. . Recommendation to try :- EVERYTHING ๐Ÿ˜๐Ÿ˜ every single sweet we had was just very good. We also tried the chili bhaji (not featured) that was excellent too. . Cons- The shop is situated in a very narrow busy street in Fort Kochi. Parking is hassle. We went probably at the busiest time of the day around 3 PM. . FOLLOW ME ๐Ÿ””โญ๏ธ@gastronomist_md โญ๏ธ๐Ÿ”” on Instagram

If you're looking for legit, amazing and mouth watering Gujarati food - this is the place! Love everything they serve and wish I stayed closer lol. I personally love the Kachoris, Jalebi, Ghatiya and the Theplas are amaazingg!!! Everything is vegetarian and tastes great so there's nothing to worry about - unless you're not a fan of North Indian food maybe try a piece and then get a plateful of it. I take a minimum one kilo of every snack so that I don't have travel so long since I stay on the other side of the city. I don't think my review could get more genuine - you better try this place or it's your loss - sorry :(
