The place is awesome, specially the dining table . No doubt You'll feel a warm touch of coastal flavors in the food. Please try the Tandoori Devil Crab. It's a bliss. Other chicken & mutton dishes are also good. Check with waiters which suits with nun/rice.

Visited this place few month back when everything was normal and I have had one of my most memorable gastronomical experiences ever. I so loved the food that I visit thrice after my first visit. Probably the best place to have south Indian coastal food in Kolkata. From pork vindaloo to potli biryani every thing was so good!

One Last Time For The Coastal Macha ❤️

Ordered from their weekend Parsi Menu and Piyush was quite helpful and agreed to send this to me (33Kms).

1. Chicken Farcha
2. Brown Rice
3. Mutton Dhansak
4. Lagan Nu Custard

The food was amazing and the quantity was well enough for 2 people. The mutton preparation was a bit different and was very light as this was from their Parsi menu. Loved their food.

I wish Piyush Menon all the very best and good luck for his future endeavours. Hope to see you soon in this city with different twist next time once this pandemic gets over!! Will definitely miss The Coastal Macha ❤️😍🥳☺️

The Coastal Macha is a small and fuss free restaurant in the posh locality of Southern Avenue. Although it has the entire clichéd interior associated with coastal cuisine, like vibrant blue colours, sea shells, sand etc etc; all that doesn’t matter since the food stands out undeniably. The food literally performs a song and dance inside the mouth, be it the Prawn sukka or the kothu paratha or mutton pepper fry. You will get all kinds of fish fries in masala or rava fry from the local favourite beckti to mackerel or pomfret and the seafood is exceptionally fresh in taste. And although they do have a small north Indian menu, I would say give it a pass and dive into the sea.

We have been missing our Bangalorean food adventures in the form of ghee roast and sukkas. This place provided the assurance that it's a matter of a click of a button and our South India non-veg will be delivered as per choice. We ordered all the sukkas, ghee roasts, gongura in all the meat combination possible. Fish gongura, crab pulimunchi, prawn sukka, chicken ghee roast and Coorgi pork. With appam and Kerala parotha. The taste was perfect. The coordination from the restaurant was easy. The packaging was safe. All in all a wonderful day of reminiscing Bangalore days

Visited on 24th December previous year, but somehow I was unable to write anything about this amazing place.
A very nice and cozy ambience and a good place to hangout with friends and family.
Coming to the food items that we have ordered:-
1. Stater:- Crispy chilli squid (Highly recommended)
2. Mutton Ghee Roast
3. Chicken Potli Biriyani.
All food items are extremely delicious and finger licking. Quantity is more than enough. Moreover it's a very pocket friendly restaurant.

I always search for south indian non veg food and had eyed coastal macha few times, this lockdown was the time I could try something different and they didn't disappoint , I ordered ghee roast malabari paratha (chicken) , I called in to check the details and was guided well by their owner . Arrived at my friend’s place tired and hungry, so I checked Zomato and found famous The Coastal Macha nearby and gave it a try. I loved their menu especially the combination of seafood which makes the place worth a trip. But probably, I have chosen wrong dish to order online. Their signature Tandoori Devilled Crab. One of the classic dishes that never really gets old.  I was super excited for it.

“Coastal Macha” is one-stop destination for all the seafood lovers who want to enjoy amazing seafood experience with flavours from the different coastal regions of India. This sea beach themed restaurant is one of the best places in Kolkata to have coastal food from the regions of Konkan, Malabar and Goa.
Coastal Macha is the best solution to all the seafood lovers in the town who want to enjoy delicious sea food. It serves Kerala, Mangalorian, Konkan and Maharashtrian cuisines. Will you want to have a taste of Goa in the heart of Kolkata? Well, Coastal Macha is the solution to this❤️ Being a seafood lover, I am always on the lookout for good coastal food resturants. This hidden gem place got me interested with its widespread seafood menu from different coastal regions of India, so I dropped in with my friends last week to try their delicacies 😋
📍 Location: -This sea beach themed is located at lanes of Gariahat, towards Hindustan Park. It is a 2 mins walking distance from the Gariahat more.
▶ Ambience/Décor/Service: The ambience of the place is soothing one, and it is a perfect place for friends to hangout and as well as with family. It is a worthy addition in the seafood places which available in the town. Starting from the sea beach themed table decor to the perfect coastal taste of the dishes, this is a seafood haven. I thoroughly enjoyed the coastal themed ambience with hues of blue, earthen sand and white seashells all over. Specifically loved the tabletops filled with sand, shells which gives a beach vibes. You will love this sea beach themed restaurant. The perfect coastal touch is what you get from the place 💕 the service of the place is nice. The staffs are cordial, well behaved and were very helpful while we were deciding what to order ❤
▶ Now coming to real deal which is food and drinks of course. The Key USP of the place is it serves one of the amazing coastal food in the town. So well talking about the food, there were a lot of options and considering the recommendation from friends, I tried the following amazing seafood items from the menu ❤️
❤ Starters 😋
⚜️ Pork pepper fry- This item was just super delicious! This pork item was just amazing, and I had never had an such pork preparation before like this. Absolutely soft meat cooked in a spicy gravy with a variety of spices. I totally loved it.
❤ Main Course🍗
🔸 After having the lip-smacking starter, moving on to the Main Course:
⚜️ Appam- Appams are those flat, white, thin rice breads which are eaten in most parts of southern coastal states in India. 2 per plate but trust me it's quite filling! Best paired with mutton or chicken gravy dish.
⚜️ Egg Appam(Mutta appam)- This item was similar to the normal appams which we ordered. This white rice bread was topped with an egg in the middle which extra add on in this dish.
⚜️ Mutton ghee roast- This is their signature dish of the place and the most popular one. The mutton ghee roast tasted amazing and went well with the appam. The mutton ghee roast does look red but it's not that spicy. It is a must try for all mutton lovers. (Recommended.)
Starting from starter to main course everything tasted perfect. All the items were delicious and too much tasty and they give very quantity. 😋
💰 Pocket pinch: - Pinch for two is ₹ 800 - ₹ 1000 for a great experience.
▶Overall: - Overall, had a great experience and superlative coastal food. This place surely grabs my recommendation when it comes to amazing seafood ❣️ Going back to this amazing place yet soon. To try out the coastal food items 😍 Do pay a visit to this place, you won't regret 💕 Highly recommend this place 👍🏻
