I cannot follow my template for writing reviews for Arun Tea Stall, because it does not offer a place where you can sit and enjoy their fare. Rather I would talk about my experience of standing on the footpath and enjoying their offerings like everyone else of this extremely popular joint.
Located in a 'choumatha' on Shakespeare Sarani, this is an extremely popular joint for all classes of people. A small shop which does not give away the fact that it probably sells more than a couple thousands teas a day, you would be surprised to see the number of luxury cars which has parked just to enjoy a sip of their tea.
Their menu is limited. Tea, coffee, kachori, club kachori, gulab jamun, jalebi, bonda. And all of them have prices higher than regular 'tapris' around Kolkata. But the manager states, 'Kom khan, but valo khan' which roughly translates to, 'Eat less, but eat well' and the less number of menu items is definitely not a detriment to their business from the number of patrons I saw on a lazy Sunday afternoon.
The hygiene is definitely iffy and the prices are on the higher side.
Notwithstanding those facts, I will still be back because the tea was one of the best I have had in Kolkata.
Always order ,my favourite club kochiri
Gulab jamun,jalebi

One of the oldest tea shop in the area...
This shop is located near the back gate of Xavier's...at the juncture of Shakespeare Sarani...at a stone throw distance from Shakespeare Sarani PS...
Tea is available here in only one size...XL...
Tea is prices at Rs. 40 and is available in a kulhad of the size of a soup bowl...
Also to try out is their Kachouri, Jalebi and Samosa...one Samosa & Jalebi would be enough with the amount of chai that they give...
They also sell sugar free tea...
They serve food items in eco friendly utensils made of saal leaves 👍👍...and there are dustbins for garbage disposal
it is by far the best tea I have had and it cost just 15 in a decent size clay cup also their packing is awesome
Arun tea stall is a small stall located in the lane opposite to Hindusthan Dhaba, theatre road. There is always a crowd of people having tea and enjoying the other snacks which the stall offers.
The club kachoris and the jalebis are a must try.
ATS is quite famous for its tea and snacks.
The place is known for kachori sabzi and samosa. It has major crowd on all times of day. Even samosa which they serve is good. Though the place is running busy all the time the quality of food is maintained.
A good place to order savouries.
I had a very good time sipping chai at ATS. Heard a lot about this place from locals and read good reviews. So when K visited Kolkata in July had to go and try their snack. And trust me this place is lit.
Looking for a place to have delicious breakfast ? This place is for you. Do visit this place and try their club kachoris and jalebis
The best tea I ever had in my life. Kesar tea and khasta alu is a must try
The renowned breakfast at Kolkata Club consists of Kachori and Chai, known for their delightful flavors. While the establishment may appear somewhat rundown, it may not be suitable for those who prioritize hygiene. However, I'd gladly sacrifice some hygiene for the authentic and traditional morning breakfast experience it offers.
The place is built for midnight chai lovers. Kesar tea, normal tea , singara, kochuri is available whole night.
The store is situated on the road and easily accessible through SSKM or Elgin. Taste and quality is really good over here and the local people are pretty cool.
The tea and snacks you get are amazing. Their customer service is quick. The issues would be no place to park your vehicle or sit.
All items and specially the tea are just fabulous. Had ordered it on zomato also for home delivery and it was awesome how they package the tea and send it. Also try their hing kachori, can vouch for it to be one of the best in the city. Pair it with their jalebi and chai, and you get a killer breakfast combo, or in my case a brunch combo 😁
Arun Tea stall serves the best kesariya chai. Love their butter and malai toast.
Their club kachori and jalebi are also hit!
Excellent kesar tea. Others were relishing toast, kachori etc. This is situated in a popular street side eating area best witnessed in the morning. There are 4 well known shops- Arun tea stall, Chaurasia, Anna Rao and hunger food stall at the cross roads of Shakespeare sarani and hungerford Street.
Must visit area in the morning to feel the vibe of it.
A must visit place for Chai lover . This tea is really very good also the club kachori with alu ka sabji and jalebi. But those items are little bit expensive.
Words can't describe how amazing the Chai is at Arun's tea stall. Worth the hype, worth the wait. A must try for sure.
Great taste at affordable prices. A must visit for Chai lovers. Do try the Kesar tea.
Best place to have Breakfast superb Kesar Tea and Club kachori. Samosh is also nice. You will get bread toast as well. And crispy Jalebis are the ones to die for.
