Well as this is in my locality I quite often visit this sweet outlet. This famous sweet shop should not only boast of the best rosogollas which are pure delicacies, soft, spongy dipped in perfect sugar syrups; but also should boast for all its sweets. The pea stuffed kachori and aloo dum in winters are a treat to your taste buds and so are the hing er kachori in summer. Their labongo latika, chanar jalebi, khirkadam, kalakand, gulab jamun and not to forget their misti doi are my personal favourites. These sweets indeed satiate your sweet tooth cravings.
The ambience is nonetheless good, the place is well kept and clean.
KC Das is pioneer of great rosogollas in Kolkata. This outlet has sitting arrangements inside.Tried their radhaballavi once which was good.Ended it with their famous rosogolla and it lived upto it's reputation.I dropped by this outlet another time seeing a new thing called Italian singara on menu. But it wasn't available that time.I just had a rasmalai that day which was so exquisite that it lifted up my mood.
This is called bengali famous misti Rosogolla........the taste is perfect and quality of sweets is too good................... also the is good.......
The K C Das outlet situated in Kalighat is known for its sweets, kachoris and other savouries...some of the preparations merit special mention such as the common' khirer chop.' Which is distinct different in taste and look.... try it...

This place makes some of the best peas kachoris, making it an often drop in during the winters. The summers are great for their equally brilliany hing kachoris. Other must tries at K.C. Das are the Jolbhora, labanga latika, khir er chop, khir kadam, kalakand, the exquisite rasmalai and of course the rosogollas.
The rosogollas are soft and melt in the mouth. Boiling them in hot sugar syrup gives them their beautiful silky and spongy texture.

When the world famous inventors of the Bengali sweet delicacy opens up a store at South Kolkata, what more could you ask for.
I love their rossogollas specially the ones made with sugar syrup. They are just so yummy. And the sorbhajas are also very good.
They serve the best and the most authentic rossogullas. Their rossogulla is so soft that it feels like it melts in your mouth. I have tried their Rossogolla and Rossomalai and both were simply amazing. The place is not very expensive too.
It was a cloudy afternoon when I went to this outlet with my friend as he was hungry. As soon as we went in, it began to rain hard. Unable to leave, we sampled out each and every item the shop possessed. From doi to rash malancha to bell shaped chocolate sweets to peas kachori - phew!!
The staff was always smiling, the outlet is well decorated, and the food outstanding.
An age old name in Bengali confectionery business. From 60's to the mid 90's many NRIs took a part of Calcutta along with them when they returned back in the form of canned rasogolla . The quality and traditional essence as well as the taste remains unaltered, although in an age of radical innovation where consumers are asking for new form factors they are somewhat left a little behind.
One of the best sweet shop in kolkata
