This place is really good. Ambience might not look good but the food is awesome.
Service is up to the mark. Mughlai and biriyani is a the best here

Last night I bought some Indian dish from here it was really great in taste..... I don't like Indian and moglai dishes that much but if it is from here I have it....
I ordered special chicken biriyani today. Adequate amount of rice, two leg pieces and an egg. Sufficient for a Sunday lunch. But the rice was little dry and they put so much Garam Masala on top, that were the only minus points. I will surely try some other dish in future form this restaurant.

as stated it Contains Rice + Dal + Aloo Bhaja + Choice of Sabji but we got Rice + Dal + Aloo Posto + Sabji
in total it was very good! the rice was awesome! the lebu too :P :D all was neat & clean!!
will surely order again!!

Paneer Butter Masala & Naan they were just awesome! the Paneer Butter Masala gravy was creamy sweety and yummy
Used to order from here during my stay in the hostel. My frequently orderd favourites were chilli chicken (6pc) + chicken chow + paratha + mixed fried rice + chicken pakore + egg roll.
Pros:
# quantity was good for 2 persons (since me & roomate used to share the foods)
# delivery was always on time
# quality and taste was also good.

The restaurant was a boon for people of Diamond park area in early 2000s. Or else one had to go till Behala for lunch or dinner. Dakshinayan offers great Bengali cuisine, worth the money. I have a "ghorua" (homely) feel whenever I visit this place, may be because of the attachment since childhood, but as an individual, yea it's a nice place to go and hang out with family or friends.
Diamond park is the nearest bus stop, around 10 min walk from 3A bus stand.

A descent restaurant at Joka, near Diamond Park. There are 2 segments of this restaurant, AC and non AC, with a negligible difference of 10 bucks per item in the menu. Interiors are impressive and food is descent, and good in portion.
But the service staffs need to be more prompt and trained in their duty. In fact maintaining basic things like refilling the cellars with salt and pepper, time to time is pretty essential when you are a part of the service team. Afterall, it does not look cool to treasure hunt for some pepper in front of your guest and bringing it in a spoon at last(so far my experience is concerned).
But apart from the service, there are no such shortcomings to mention as such.
Descent food at pocket friendly price and comfortable ambience is what you will get at this place.
A nice and descent place to enjoy a meal.
Well well well, first hats-off to their Special Moghlai which is the only dish I had their. Their entry ambience is let down. But inside it contains one more place to sit which is air conditioned which is of decent quality.

Today I tried their Mutton Biriyani, and this time it wasn't a takeaway. The ambiance of this place is decent only. The service time was a bit more considering the fact that it was Biriyani which is usually readymade and served very quickly in other restaurants. Finally when it was served, we were so happy by looking at the quantity of the Biriyani which was served in a separate bowl and was more than enough for one person. It tasted good and the good fact was that it was less oily.
