That evening it was raining like anything. Me and one of my friend were looking for a shelter to spend some time and we were hungry as well. Then we found - cafe calcutta. A small beautiful place just nearby tollygunge rail station. The decor of the cafe is simple yet beautiful. I loved the concept of keeping books over there in wooden book shelves.(Though i'm a bookworm, but couldn't manage to read'em over there).

Now coming to the food part. The food was so good. We ordered their special burger, and one other chicken preparation ( Dont remember the name), and one KitKat shake. Burger was toooooooooo good and the chicken preparation was good too. But the KitKat shake was not the up to the mark.

Pocket pinch was not that low but keeping up the taste and the service on mind, its worth to visit there.

Ps. And then i visited there again, i ordered the same menu along with a plate of white pasta. I loved the pasta truly 😍

Tucked in a bylane where the Mudiali Club is situated lies this cafe. Once a person enters the cafe he will immediately notice the ambience as well as the decoration. It's more of a adda zone where people can ponder over books with a cup of coffee and other accompaniment something what the cafe stands for. It is a must visit place for someone who wants to have a quiet afternoon and adda with close friends and relatives. We tasted the curracawa and the pasta which were very much to the liking of our taste buds. Thanks Cafe Calcutta

▪️This is a newly launched small Cafe near Mudiali Club located in the place where Cafe Brioso was located few months ago. This cafe is small and cosy, decorated beautifully with photographs of wild animals and birds. The menu is quite small but pocket friendly. They have variety of book and board games too. If you are a bookworm or want to spend some me-time or hangout with friends you must visit this place. It is located near Rabindra Sarobar Lake and quite easy to locate▪️

Was here back when it had just opened. They serve some pocket friendly food specially for students. The mocktails here were not that great. Coming to food. Fried chicken with melted cheese on top is the best starter here. The bechamel could improve a bit. It was a bit dry. They have two small sections. One if kinda lounge another is cafe. Quite cosy. They have books also and a small mocktail counter too.

First of all the cafe is at Rajani Sen Road! Ya that Rajani Sen Road, where our favourite Feluda lived. And may be either intentionally or unintentionally, some books on and of Satyajit Ray are there on the shelves also. Next specially want to mention the ambience and the decorations. Then comes the foods. I tried Bite Sandwich (veg) & Shredded Chicken Sandwich. Both were delicious and well served. Want to taste other items in the future as well. And last but not the least, very impressive behaviours of the owners. Thanks to them for cooperating us and providing good foods. It was quality time at Cafe Calcutta. Cheers! 😊

This newly launched small café is located beside Mudiali club. The place is not so spacious but comfortable seating arrangement makes this place perfect for a hangout. If you're a bookworm then you must visit this place as it has a great collection of books. Now coming to the foods, I had CC Special Burger (Pork) and Apple Pie. Burger was really good. Only con of this place is it takes a lot of time to serve foods.
