This is a very old shop. Most of the guys are south indians. I have been visiting this shop for more than 12 years now. Value for money. Superior quality food served with hygiene. Dosa is also of very good quality and taste. If you are a south indian idly-dosa lover then you should definitely try this eatery.
This is a small tiny shop which serves some great south Indian food. It made me curious every time I passed it, visited it this time. 4-5 people can stand and at at the shop, the service and preperation is fast, prices are economical too. The chutney is thick, samabar is good though not the best.
Coming to the food, ordered a single bada which was thick and crispy it was coriander infused, totally filling. Also tried cheese onion masala dosa, they also add capsicum coconut and coriander to their dosa to give it that amazing tick. A must visit, this place won't disappoint. Lack of filter coffee, fulfill that and it would a perfect 5 dor sure for the value it offers at ultadanga.

Masala Dosa
Everytime I visit Ultadanga, I always visit this restaurant. The restaurant is called South Indian Best Food and they served one of the best South Indian food in Kolkata. I am a big fan of Masala Dosa of this place. The coconut chatni is delicious along with Dosa. Perfect combination.

This is a very small place.
They have sitting arrangement for 8people at a time.
The service is quick though.
The dosa and idly both is pretty good.
I love this place.
This place is located near Bidhannagar station (platform no 1). The food is excellent at a very affordable place. I love south Indian food and this place made me fall in love with it all over again.
I've been eating at this small South Indian food joint for over a year now. It's one of the best place that serves South Indian food at It's best .
One of my close friend recommended that place, situated near Ultadanga footbridge. I never liked dosa before but after tasting their masala dosa, I have become a fan. All the dishes are made by South Indians. The prices are quite cheap. Best dosa available in Kolkata. The vadas are tasty too.
If you are a South Indian or love South Indian food and craving for it this is the place to go. It gives you authentic South Indian breakfast food from morning till night. The sambar is as authtic you can get even the chutney tastes amazing. The cheese masala Dosa is the best here. A heavy dose of cheese in the masala dosa will surely curb your hunger.
My mum had always told me to enjoy a good south Indian breakfast of Idli and chutney so there wasn't any other alternative to this great restaurant so I came here for at least they were very soft and extremely delicious I finished my mail with her filter coffee which team which two options either with sugar or without being spoilt for choices I took it with sugar and also enjoyed my food very much thanks a lot four stars
Good place for south Indian dishes. Pocket friendly . small place. Quick service. Food is good. Specially masala dosha. No seating arrangement.
..... Overall Good experience...
This is most probably the best South Indian food joint in kolkata currently, They serve almost authentic south indian foods, may be better than few of the Tamilnadu/Bengaluru food joints, plus it is so so reasonable. So it's 100% recommendation from my side. Now if you have any hygienic issue than this place could have been a problem for you, but you can bypass this problem just bring your own paper plate and plastic spoons or you can parcel this food and enjoy the taste, also there is no proper seating arrangements.
I tried one butter masala dosa
One butter masala uttapam two of the cost around 195
Both are good full with staffs but for me the salt was killer may be they added so much butter that it becomes salty so this is the only issue i found.
Overall very good Place must visit for south indian food lovers.
I am adding pictures as well please do check them as well and if you want you can see my other reviews too about different restaurants, Thank you for reading this see you on the next till then stay fit eat healthy.🙂
This is the best South Indian Food Restaurant I have ever tried. The owner is originally from Madurai, Tamilnadu. You can taste authentic South Indian Taste in Kolkata at affordable price. Seating arrangement is very small. Only one small bench is available and 2-3 people can stand and eat inside the ver narrow hotel. I tried their Masala Dosa, ₹50.00 served with Coconut Chutney and Sambar. Dosa was well stuffed vegetables and big. Big enough to fill up your stomach. 3 mins walking distance from Bidhannagar Road Railway Station. Must Visit.
South Indian Food Love is this place. Very reasonably priced with Quality at its mark, this place is favourite to many Calcuttans . Though there's no parking arrangements by this joint still customers prefer to park it elsewhere and walk down to taste the beauty of South India. Highly Recommended
This is one of the best South Indian food shop in Kolkata. I have eaten dosa in many places, but this is one of the best I have ever eaten ❤️. The coconut chatni is just amazing! The thick, concentrated chatni is mesmerizing 😋. I visit this shop again and again just to have masala dosa here. Behaviour of the staffs is very good.
Nearest railway station- Bidhannagar rail station
Nearest Bus stop- Ultadanga
Some features of the shop-
1) UPI payment available
2) ♿ wheelchair accessible entrance and car parking not available as it is a small shop.
3) seperate seating area not available.
One of the most authentic South Indian food restaurant in Kolkata... awesome taste and quality...just have a visit once

The price is pocket friendly but there is no seating arrangement. The place is small and can be missed if you are not looking for it.
My verdict is do visit this place of you are craving south Indian food.
The best dosa in kolkata, but idli and vada not so good.
This shop is situated at Ultadanga, near Bidhannagar Road Rail station. I regular eat here, the food items are just awesome, you will feel the original South Indian taste, the preparation of all dises so carefully-neat and clean. The items are so pure, fresh and genuine. The service are so fast and good. All the prices are very reasonable.
Only one thing that makes you uncomfortable is the space of the shop, it is so narrow and there is no seat like a restaurant, the place is very conjusted. Parcel system available.
This is is probably the best place for South Indian food if you're in Ultadanga. Price is very reasonable and quantity is sufficient, in fact, more than enough. This shop (I won't call it restaurant because it's too small for being categorized as a restaurant) is open from 7 am to 9 pm 7 days a week. I'll highly recommend this if you wanna have some South Indian dishes around this area. They don't do home delivery though because of lack of staffs.
In this locality and market, trust me this is the best place for evening snacks.
Prices are soo much affordable in Bidhannagar Area.
Quality is great.
No questions for taste.
Quick Service.
Staffs behave well.
