Considering the current situation, they totally changed their sitting arrangements. Given a plastic cover over the table, a proper gap so that there is no gathering and also you can enjoy your food happily.
Coming to food
My favourite pick was
✅ style lamb goulash - the tender flavour of lamb and the soft melting meat is just mind blowing. Goulash is basically a rustic stew made of lamb with seasoned paprika and other spices.
✅Hunan fish - this is basically a Chinese dish of fish fillet coming up with a delicious white gravy.
✅ Loite macher chop - best starter I had. It was crunchy from outside and soft from inside. Really cooked well and in a proper way.
✅ Lyangcha - I think this deep fried cottage cheese desert is a favourite of every bengali, and when u see this in desert option I think no one will miss it.
Overall it was a really good dine in experience.

Being a buffet lover, I am always on the lookout for good buffets place. Was off lately exploring nearby Chinar Park for some good buffet restaurants. This place got me interested with its widespread buffet menu, so I dropped in with my friends during the lunch to try their buffet options and the beautiful buffet spread. 😋 XII Zodiac launched a Weekend Brunch Buffet which will be served every week, Friday to Sunday from now onwards.
📍 Location: This buffet restaurant is at the 2nd Floor of Fern Residency Hotel, Noapara, Chinar Park. Kolkata. It is very near to the City Centre 2, Chinar Park.
▶ Ambience/Décor/Service: Speaking of Ambience of the place, it was soothing and warm ambience. The theme of the place is really catchy and the décor very tasteful. They have quite unique tips for all the signs, even so for which dishes to order if you are a certain Zodiac sign It reflects a buffet place well maintained with proper and comfy seating arrangement for both large and small groups. The interior of the place is decorated with different posters on Zodiac signs, a very unique concept. The area is spacious with 30-40 seating capacity and classy decor with buffet counter as well. This buffet restaurant is really good for family gatherings, team meetings for lunch and dinner. Loved their choice of music too. The service of the place is great. The staffs are cordial, well behaved and were very helpful while we were deciding what to order ❤

Once the Unlock phase 2.0 was announced by the Govt, from the auspicious day of Mahalaya, XII Zodiac has started serving back yet again. Everyone is worried when you go outside to visit the restaurant. But let me tell you as the New normal phase is setting in XII Zodiac is also following all the Precautionary and Safety Guidelines to ensure all the Guests are having a Safe and Secure experience like always.

Among the Appetizers options Chicken Olivetti and Lotte Macher Chop need special mentions. The chicken was so nice, the pieces were well marinated. The lotte macher chop was just perfect it was so crunchy on the outside and deliciously juicy on the inside.

It was extremely soft and that pairing with the potato in a lamb curry was just perfect for me. With the rice, it was the ultimate solution to satisfy my tastebuds.

The starters were quite fuller,Wherein my recommendation from the main course section would be Bagh e hazim into the veg section and extremely tempting lamb goulash,I have had the best lamb curry over a period of time. It was extremely soft and that pairing with the potato in a lamb curry is a blessing
Also if you avoid lamb,there is a suitable option for you in the form of Hyderabadi khatta murgh,The spices were pour into perfection. With a naan ,It is the ultimate solution 🙈
Another special recommendation to the Fish,The fish represented the Indo-Asian flavours and it is worth a try with steamed rice.
Coming to my weakness dessert section,
Still dreaming about the soft-Hot langcha ,I love my desserts to be subtle and not too sweet.
My vote goes for the bhapa sandesh anyday.
If you are a sweeet lover go for mousse. The texture was too good.

The ambience was sober. Ambient lighting and light music sets the tone and mood of the restaurent and gives you a comfortable feeling. The walls are decorated with different zodiac signs, a very unique concept and is the theme of the restaurent.
The following were present in the buffet section:
📌Welcome drinks- Blue lagoon and Lassi🥛
📌 4 starters- 2 non- veg ( Chicken Olivetti+Lote macher chop) and 2 veg ( Vegetable gold coins+ cottage cheese chilli poppers). All these are served at the table.
📌 Main course had 3 non- veg items( Fish, chicken🍗 lamb🍖) along with 3 veg items( vegetable in Kung pao sauce, Kofta Bagh e azim, channa pancake curry ). The lamb was so well cooked and so soft that it easily came out of the bones. Steam rice and Amti daal was also there.
📌Different types of salad and some are designed in form of mocktails.
📌The dessert spread was really extensive and one of the best dessert section seen by me so far. It had mousse, bhapa sondesh, pastries🍰 and lyangcha,( which was purely made of channa and ghee and melts in mouth easily)cut fruits.
Please do visit this place as they are maintaing all sanitization protocols and temperature check is done at the entrance. Some seats are marked with ❌ to maintain social distancing.

The Weekend Buffet consisted of welcoming drinks like Lassi and Blue Lagoon so you a touch of dhaba too with a mocktail.
Next you will find Asian both Vegetable Soup and Non Veg Soup. You will get some amazing salads which you must try and begins with the starters then consisting of Lotte Mache Chop, Vegetable Coin , Cottage Cheese Chilli Poppers and Chicken Olivetti.
Finally moving to the main course you get Vegetable king pai sauce, kofta Bagh-e-Hazin, Channa curry in the vegetable counter and in the Non veg Part you get Hyderabad Khatta Murgh, Fish In Catonese Sauce, Hungarian Style Lamb with Potato and last you get Amri Dal, Steamed Rice to Have with and ending with super tasty Deserts which will give you the ultimate pleasure of Gastronomy having Langcha , Bhapa Sandesh, Mousse, Cut Fruits and Ice Cream.
To my personal Liking The Cantonese Fish , the Lotte marcher chop, the kofta Bagh e Hazin are some of the most tasty one and the dessert too.

XII Zodiac is a Restaurant situated at the Fern Residency near City centre 2, Chinar Park.
Proper Thermal Scanning and Sanitisation of the Hands were done at the entry Points. Many Seats were Marked with red which were left to maintain proper social Distancing. All the staffs of the restaurant were wearing masks and gloves
The View from the Restaurant was Also very good and the rainy weather even made it better.
The theme of the restaurant is unique and the walls are painted different quotes of different zodiac signs. There are cards of 12 different zodiac signs with special Quotes written on them. Yes!! if you want, you can bring home the card of your zodiac sign.

XII Zodiac is an amazing place to dine out. It is located at the 2nd floor of The Fern Residency. I went for the buffet spread which is available at a very reasonable price. Need more variety in the desserts section.The staffs are very courteous. Ambience is very good. I liked their service very much. It was a very nice experience.

On propitious day like Mahalaya Xii zodic set off their special weekend sunday brunch. The amplitude of the spread is much diversified which was absolute delight to the zest buds. The varients of the dishes started with a welcome drink and put through in dessert.
The place is situated at Fern Residenc, chinarpak. Starting from the building entrance to the restraunt, utmost Hygien maintaining by the facilitators. Even when we have entered, every seating arrangement was Sanitizing after every serve. Of course all the officials and personnel were wearing mask and gloves.
Hence there safely measures ensure us to have a immune meal.
Proceeding to the food spread-
Welcome Drink- Blue Lagoon worked nicely on taste buds to prepare them for the whole course. Lassi worked as a stimulator which increases metabolic rate.
Asian Vegetable soup -
As i like everything tangy so it was also not exception, blended with spics well. Totally lip- spanking.
Appetizer-
Vegetable Gold coin- even being a hardcore non-veg person, personally like this tiny veg balls. Very mushy and light on tummy.
Cottage Cheese Chilli Poppers-
I don't know whether in the globe any non-cheese person exist or not. I completely enchanted with these. Absolute amusement to the zest.
Chicken Olivetti-
Very much sappy and tender chicken chunks mingled well with flavours and spiceries.
Lotte Macher chop- being a Bengali, moreover an Eastbengalian, i find it to be ultimate savour weighing to others. Overall a complete tie of tradition and innovation.
Hyderabadi Khatta Murgh-
If you love everything spicy then this dish is for you. Full of aromatic flavours jumbled with chicken lobs.
Fish in Cantonese Sauce-
A traditional and customary Indo-Asian dish which won't make you bore ever. Really liked the smoothy, soft texture of the fish and the blended silk like sauce.
Hurgarian Style Lamb Goulash with Potato-
I am lacking adjectives to describe the eternally plump pieces of lambs. Neck and crop mouth Melting.
Veg Mains- Vegetable Kung Pao Sauce, Loft Bagh-e-hazim, Channa Pancake curry, dal.
*Every mains were accompanied with Steam rice and Assorted Indian Bread.
Desserts- Lancha, bhapa sandesh, mousse, cut fruits and ice cream.

I simply loved their spread! My favourite pick were the Hungarian Style Lamb Goulash with Potato ( The Lamb was to die for!!! Soft succulent and juicy) , Loite machher Chop ( Aah ! Crunchy on the outside and deliciously juicy on the inside) and Hyderabadi Khatta Murgh (loved the tangy flavour)❤️
What I liked was how they have changed their seating arrangements and marked various seats that has to be avoided to maintain social distancing. The servers are going to help you with the serving to minimise the contact.

The price is less compared to other buffets but the menu variety is very less ....better to add some more pennies and get better options like- Absolute Barbeque one the best buffet in Kolkata (recommended).

It was a nice place to visit for lunch. Coincidentally we visited this place when they were celebrating their 7th Anniversary. As result , the menu, ambience as well as the dine-in experience was a bit more special for us. Wish to visit this place again!

I went here for my birthday party in 2017. The place ambience is great. The buffet served was amazing and the service is beautiful.
Starters were served on the table and the service was quick. You can also ask for modification, if you want to make it more spicy or less spicy.
Main course does not have much options but still the food taste doesn't make you feel bad about the less options.
Overall the place is a great thumbs up from my side.
A must visit place. The starters were really awesome. Especially the chicken kabab which was so juicy. The mutton biriyani was also good. In dessert the Rabri was really good. Each and every dish was good. Even the welcome drink was also good. We had to wait for the starters to come. The staffs were polite. Overall a nice experience.
