Another recipe for dish known as "Kacchari" a puffy deep-fried pastry stuffed with lentils finds mentioned in Jain text dating back to 7th century. Similar recipes also finds mentioned in medieval cookbook Supa Shastra. Kachori is believed to have originated in the Hindi belt region of India.

If you're a street food lover and you are in Lucknow then you must try kachori and Vade as this is one of the best street food in Lucknow. They provide 2 Kachori with spicy potato and chole along with Muli (radish) slaad and tadka mirchi. One plate Kachori will cost you INR 20 Only. Best part is they don't use LPG and cook everything on koila/bhatti. Must try place!
