Very decent restaurant in mapusa with authentic dishes.
I tried sharabi chicken tikka, mirchi techa kebab, mussels rava fry and cocktails.
Mussels rava fry(xinani) was very good. Was fried in very authentic way and spices used for marinated were very good.
Overall very good.
Coctails were bit light. Expected to be little hard.
Food was very good. Ambience also good with comfortable chairs.
Do try this place if you are in Mapusa...
Over all Good restaurant and the serradura here is really tasty! Just that Goan fish fry was not actually like the ones I tried in other authentic Goan restaurants.
Amazing place for foodies with multiple option. They do serve Goan, Maharashtrian, Indian, Chinese and Tandoor options with some amazing deserts like Pudding & Seradura.
My experience at Matsya was awesome! The ambience, the people, Food - everything was top notch! Especially the Goan thali. The vegetables were cooked well, the fish was well fried and the spices used were good, the prawn gravy was delicious (reminded me of my extended family), the dry prawns was very tasty as well! The food was fresh and well cooked. Nothing stale was served! When requested for an extra roti - it was freshly made and served! The best part was this sweet dish called ‘managana’! It’s a traditional sweet and a must try. The owner was kind enough to explain what that sweet was and was very warm, courteous and friendly! It’s a family place and has clean restrooms as well which is well ventilated and clean! The food servers were very respectful and maintained eye contact when interacting or even asking for feedback! Please DO visit Matsya if you’re in Goa (Mapusa)!

Food was ok but not that good apart from that service was also slow as compared to other places
Food was good..I won't say it was awesome but nothing to complain..fish thali was authentic ( though I would be prefer a bit spicy).. chicken dishes were good..also tried Russian salad it was good too..

Chilly Chicken was good but it more spice like Ginger, Garlic & Chilly.
The Mix Chicken Tandoori Kebab Plater was very tasty with good Quantity.
Garlic Cheese Naan was very soft & well stuffed.
But the Dessert Hot Chocolate Cake with ice Cream was the best ever had in such kind of Family Restaurant's. Must Try.
The Owner was kind & Friendly.
Excellent place in Mapusa. Very affordable and good quality sea food. The staff was extra courteous to allow us even after kitchen closing time.
We tried the mackerel thali and curd rice. 5 star for preparation and taste.
Must visit while in Mapusa.

Matsya Bar & Restaurant is a perfect place to enjoy Goan & North Indian food along with some great cocktails. I personally loved the chicken tikka and the fact that it was served piping hot on a sizzler plate which made it look even more tempting. The chicken was really tender and perfectly spiced too.
Tandoori Prawns and Rawa Fried Prawns were also something that I greatly enjoyed, however the Chilly Paneer that my son ordered could have been better.
Given the price band, it surely makes for an affordable dining place that serves quality food.
