Been there for the second time in six months, this time had the set lunch. While the decor and all is good, unfortunately, I found the food just about average. At those prices, not worth it. Ps. If you are an Accor plus member, you get 20% off

Probably the only Rajasthani & Gujarati speciality restaurant in a five-star hotel in Mumbai, Tuskers has some authentic dishes which doesn't fail to impress the taste buds. This was my second visit to this restaurant. I tried a set menu here, and it had 4 appetizer choices ( I tried only 3 ), 5 main courses ( I tried two ), rice, 3 bread options and 2 desserts. In the appetizers, Ajmeri Subz Ki Seekh was slightly stiff filled with veggies, Makai Cheese Roll was soft & mildly sweet, and Mithania Mirch Ka Panner was soft & mildly spicy. The instructions to prepare the latter less spicy as possible were followed properly. The serving time for the first order was ~12 mins, which is less than what such dishes usually take. The default portion was 3 pieces. I repeated one quantity of each item and the average time to serve ( on the second count ) was 7 mins. All three were delicious. Coming to the main course, Sangri Ke Kofte and Subz Panchmela, both towards the sweet side, were amazing. The initial quantity served was a bowl full, ~125 gms. I paired them up with some butter kulchas, which came up in about 5 mins, medium-size. There are limited & common options in desserts, the normal Gulab Jamun in small size, the default serving being 1 available in both hot and cold, topped up with tiny pieces of almond and pistachios. Perhaps a large-size Kala Jamun would have been a better option. Nonetheless, the Gulab Jamun was scrumptious. The second order of Gulab Jamun though took ~15 mins, and I had to give them a reminder. Thanks to one of the managers ( I don't remember the name ) who was there around to ensure that everything was going well. Not to forget that he offered me a couple of complimentary mocktails, off the menu, all I had to say was one or two ingredients. One was primarily khus-based, it was quite sui generis, and very good. However, I didn't like the other one, cranberry-based with some pineapple cuts in, which was very sweet and overall looked to be a bad combination. Despite peak hours, the food serving time was reasonable, and the overall quality of service was excellent. All the items had unlimited servings, and the cost was Rs 3,000 + taxes, which in my opinion is on the high side, however on various online applications one would generally be able to find ~25% discount. The seats are more or less of the same type, and there are about 15-18 tables in total, so the restaurant area is quite big, although not as big as the global cuisine restaurant - Pondichery Cafe ( review separately available ). The ambience is good too. I will surely visit again.

Best restaurant in BKC Area offering Pure Vegetarian Food in form of Gujarati Thali. Staff is very polite and cooperative!! Chef and waiters personally pay attention explaining all Food varieties. Specially I loved Rotala made of Milate Nachani. Chef Pratap was excellent with smile face! At service Prit, Dhrumil and Pankaj were best treating likely homely service.

Visited for lunch. Wasn't aware that only thali will be available for lunch. But it turned out to be a decent experience. The taste of all the food items was amazing and authentic. Service can be a bit faster. Spent a good time. Used zomato carnival offer that made the visit a great deal for money.

A good option for a pure vegetarian combination of prime dine and unlimited thaali. They serve an amalgamation of Rajasthani, and Gujarati thali. Good food, great service. We went to celebrate a couple of birthdays and they arranged cakes for us on order. It was a good experience. The quality of food is pretty great. However, for a thaali that costs almost 2500 per person, you can't help but expect more. I have had much better thaali experiences at places that charge less than half of what is charged here. I understand that the charge is for the whole experience which includes the ambience and location and all. But the core of any restaurant experience is the food and hence I couldn't help but compare. They serve 3 vegetables curries and 1 option in pulses, along with daal and salad. They also have pretty great bread options, fresh and soft and worth mentioning. Apart that these you have farsaan/starters in the form of dhokla, samosas, kebabs etc. Buttermilk was great too. You can choose between ice cream and kulfi for dessert which was pretty good as well. All in all a good experience if cost is not a factor.

My dining experience at Tuskers, an Indian restaurant, was exceptionally memorable. The moment we entered, the warm and inviting ambiance promised a delightful culinary journey. I must highlight Nihar, our server, whose exceptional service greatly enhanced our dining experience. Nihar's welcoming demeanor and insightful recommendations made our meal even more enjoyable. His knowledge of the menu and attentive service were truly commendable. The cuisine at Tuskers is a testament to the rich flavors of Indian cooking. Each dish was a flavorful adventure, beautifully presented and perfectly seasoned. The chefs at Tuskers have a remarkable ability to balance spices and ingredients, creating dishes that are both authentic and innovative. In conclusion, Tuskers stands out not only for its exquisite Indian cuisine but also for its outstanding service, exemplified by staff members like Nihar. It is an ideal destination for anyone seeking an authentic and memorable Indian dining experience.

Go the Traditional way with Marwadi Food @Tuskers,Sofitel Place : Tuskers, Sofitel Cuisine : Pure Vegetarian, North Indian Category : Luxury, Fine Dining, Five star What? Marwadi Food Festival Ambience: Indian Royal would be two words. Beautiful curtains surround the place while dim lights take over. Every table has delicate candles and comfortable seating. They also host private dining area. Food: It was bang on. I was hesitant on trying Marwadi. But it took me aback. My favorite was jalebi Chaat where the the jalebi was presented amidst tangy flavours like coriander chutney, meetha chutney and more. Chef Vinay Kumar and his colleague did a fabulous job. We loved the tandoori paneer. Also kadhi wada was nice. Another twisted what we liked was how dahi bhalla was roasted and it tasted yum Next up we had thandai and it was SO GOOD. Not too sweet but it yet had the powerful flavours. We tried Dal bati churma and the let me tell you, the churma was to die for . We loved our roti and sabji. The corn palak was welcome twist and Dal was also wonderful. We ended it up with hot jalebis and Rabdi. We loved it. The feel: Marwadi singers enrapturing the crowd. Can you imagine the traditional feel? Also, there was a bangle maker . He made bangles in front of you . It was so lovely. We had our stomachs full and hearts full filled at the end . The festival is on till the 13 May . Also traditionally it hosts wonderful food.
