Had been here for our office Annual dinner party. We had crab butter pepper, prawns koliwada, Bombay ducks, prawns biryani, surmai fish tikka, promfret fry. The food was just awesome! Ideal place for seafood. Service and staff was too good! Had a great evening
An ideal place for authentic sea food. Loved the spicy crab soup.. Butter pepper garlic prawns.... The preparations were so subtle, one would not miss the taste of the fresh prawns and crabs. The service is good and make you feel at home... A must visit place for all sea food lovers
Trishna is hands down the King of seafood in Mumbai! Have visited all tge competition and in my opintion there is just no competition to what they are serving.
Trishna located in the now trendy back lanes of Khala Ghoda is no frills, basic, clean interior, do not expect wow interiors, this place is about what is coming out of the kitchen.
The selection is tremendous and everything I have ever had here is fresh and the best selection possible. I am a big fan mainly of the crabs. I have indulged on most of the preparations bit have finally settled on what I find to be the best. . .the Chettinad!!! I also recommend the fish tikka selections, they have amazing king tiger prawns that basically can be ordered 1 per person, they are monsters!!
Service is attentive and can be a little pushy on upsells so know what you want and stick to it. Prices are on the higher side but I personally find it completly worth it as they are the only game at this level.
Legend that lives up to the status. . .King of Seafood!!
Crab Chettinad🤤
📍 Trishna
Rating : ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
Trishna is one among the top places for sea food in Mumbai.
Crab was huge and fleshy, not too bland nor too soicy. Absolutely worth it and much satisfying.
Chettinad with Neer dosa is something to die for!

Having heard so much about Trishna, i finally decided to visit this place with an hardcore sea food lover friend of mine. We started off with a beer (Rs 500) followed by Fish pakoras (basa) (approx 700) and Prawns Butter Garlic (900 ++). Drinks are priced on a higher side, the reason being this placed is frequented by expats and true-blue office goers. Getting back to the starters, Prawns Butter Garlic was one of the best i have ever tasted. Don't miss this dish if you ever plan to visit this place. Fish pakoras were very average like normal bhajiyas. Main course consisted of Pomfret Kolhapuri (1890) which again was average along with rotis. As a whole, a gang of 6 is advisable for enjoying their variety of dishes. Prices are on a higher side, but you pay for their nice ambience and fresh and tasty seafood.
If you are a seafood lover, this place is a must visit!
The crab prepration is simply mind-blowing - we recommend the green chili / butter garlic sauce option
paired with neer dosas!
The jumbo prawns in chili garlic sauce are another must try!
Great place for sea food, authentic and fresh food!! The bombil Fry (Bombay Duck) is really succulent and fresh catch. Try the kaali Miri or pepper fish tikki, it is the most popular dish and I would highly recommend that dish.
Well, this place was quite the discovery when I took my cousins out for seafood on a Sunday afternoon. It is located in the lane behind Rythm House. We wanted to try out everything on the menu. Grilled King Prawn and Prawn Tawa were both delicious! Pomfret fry and Bombay duck fry were good. Chicken Makhani could have been better. Paneer Tawa and Veg Do Pyaza were more or less okay. The place is expensive but lives up to its reputation to quite some extent.
Very nice and delicious sea food. Would recommend to think about opening some branches like in BKC, thane and Navi Mumbai
Amazing place for people who love seafood
Butter garlic prawns is the best and crabs also
I would recommend this place for people who love seafood to the core ❤️
Butter garlic crab 🦀 is love 💓
Why is there no 6 stars?? Oh let me start with the best one. Butter garlic crab. Highly recommended. Followed by the hyderabadi fish. To die for. The food is mind blowing. If in Mumbai u need to go for it
Diverse dishes. Professional service staff. Seating is a bit tight because it's always crowded. Reservations are required. I have eaten here whenever I travel in mumbai

Trishna is a seafood institution in Mumbai that has been serving up delicious and fresh seafood dishes for over 90 years. The restaurant is located in the heart of Colaba, a historic neighborhood known for its vibrant street life and colonial architecture.
The menu at Trishna features a wide variety of seafood dishes, we ordered Surmai & Bombay duck fry ,Rawas Gassi & Appam with Seafood Briyani.
The service at Trishna is excellent. The staff is knowledgeable about the menu and can help you choose the perfect dishes for your taste. They are also attentive and efficient, making sure that your meal is a memorable one.
Overall, Trishna is a great place to experience the best of Mumbai's seafood cuisine. The food is delicious, the service is excellent.
If you're looking for a special Seafood dining experience, Trishna is the place to go.
Amazing food, did not disappoint with my first Indian seafood experience.
Very wide variety of seafood available, the garlic and butter jumbo crab was delicious.
We went for dinner here and had salt and pepper lobster was really amazing would recommend this dish and sholey chicken it was okish and prawns biryani which was amazing .ambience is ok . Service is good .
Old school classic restaurant. Besides the decaying atmosphere and interiors of the restaurant the food and service has remained top class. Do not miss the koliwada squid, Bombayduck fish, butter garlic crab, the prawn ghassi and yellow dhal. Do not miss Trishna if you are in the locality. We were licking our fingers
Very good food in reasonable price.
Crab soup, Bombay duck, mud crab, and clams are the best.
Ambience is nice and staff is very well mannered. Service is also very prompt. But space is too cramped. Restaurant gloriously flaunts it's fame in being the top rated sea food servers. Must try their sea food speciality dishes, though it will pinch your pocket good, so remember to carry your credit card!!! Anyways, place is couple friendly as well as family friendly. If you are planning to go in a group it is recommended to book a table in advance.
Great place for seafood
What a meal. This is seafood and chicken only places. The menu has many different choices. All good. You can even pick your fish from the sea market next door. Staff is nice and clean. Restaurant is very clean. To finish all my dishes were excellent!!
The food is simply awesome, very authentic flavour and fresh. Trishna is already a famous name amongst locals and tourists so it does not need any more recommendations.
However my overall experience was slightly dampened by the crunch seating and available space. The sofa could sit 2 and I had the isle seat. More than once I took a hit from the excellent staff who were serving the patrons. Not sure what they can do about it but perhaps the staff could be mindful
The wonderful Seafood restaurants where is about 20 guests can attend at the same time. The crab 🦀 is really good.
Grilled shrimp is nice too. But the one I love is Crab soup.
