Peculiar concoction of luxury and palate. After pandemic, Imperial China @hiltonmumbai is all set to enter in redefined way. I have dined at another inhouse restaurant Brasserie (which is mainly into Buffet and Al e carte) has also impacted the brand positively. This time the game was different as it was a Pan Asian Fine Dine Experience. Interiors reminds you of the British style Plush luxury. Walk into the entrance, magnificent chandeliers, bright young lobby has two section of sofa seating and beautiful flowers refreshes the mood. Dimly light and not over brighting sets perfect tone. Soothing music and comforting seating arrangements. Imperial China is famous for its Pan Asian delicacies. Given attention to perfection the chefs ensure to serve you to the best of the authenticity. Starting off with spicy and ginger infused Manchow Soup with Crispy fried noodles along with soft Truffle Crystal Dumpling. Layer was extremely delicate. Yum Phak Raum salad was sweet and spicy. In mains I had Mapo Tofu, Stir Fried Asian Green, Roasted Garlic and Edamame Fried Rice and Tangra Chow Men. Noodles had a nice wok flavor along with vegetables. Green onions certainly played a great role. Tofu was extremely soft but red curry was not overly spicy went so good with fried rice which was embraces the strong garlic punch. Stir Fried Asian Green was completely opposite and had a plain taste to it. But those crunch from vegetables were great to eat. To end the meal I had couple of desserts namely Darsaan which was a chocolate ball shaped ice-cream and cake surrounded by assorted fruit and another one Ice-cream with Honey Noodles. Most important is you will find a peace. Seating arrangement has done nicely given the space allocation. I would love seating at other side where you get the view of majn entrance lounge but was already occupied by guests. Service was great, staff was having knowledge about dishes. Not overpriced at all. Chefs are ready to cook the dishes which are not the part of menu (subject to availability of ingredients). This is the revamped version and they stick to the expectation and satisfaction exceeded.

Imperial China An authentic and award winning fine dine Chinese cuisine restaurant that you are definitely going to love it. This was my second visit to this amazing place and it was satisfactory both in terms of food and service. This restaurant is located in famous Hilton Mumbai International Airport Mumbai. The interiors are beautifully decorated with Chinese themed paintings and warm lighting. The soft music adds more stars to the wonderful ambiance. Definitely a recommended place in Mumbai. I recently got my taste buds cleansed with some of their delicacies at Yum Cha Festival has started from 6th September 2019 to 15th September 2019. If I ever plunge into the gastronomical affair, then they were able to satiate my gluttony. Chef Dinesh Mhatre has curated a special Chinese menu to delight patrons. They have 3 Set menus available in the festival namely, Veg Set Menu, Non-Veg Set Menu and Seafood Set Menu at the price range of INR 1550 to INR 2050 plus taxes per person. What I have tried- Chicken Tom Kha Soup: Started with the Soup which was not part of the menu. It was amazing, consistency was too good and mildly spiced with loaded chicken chunks & mushrooms into it. Starters: We have opted for Seafood menu. Every menu has 16 starters options you will get which is unlimited. All the starters what I had was amazing specially Prawn Wrapped Roll, Butterfly Prawns, Vietnamese Prawn Roll, Fish Pepper Garlic and Fish Hot Basil. Mains: We had Veg Fried Rice and Prawns Chilli Basil. You can choose from various options whatever you want to. Medium sized prawns really blended well with sauce and tasted so delicious and goes really well with fried rice. Desserts: Sago Melon Pudding: Try this amazing dessert which would not let you stop at one. It was out of the world. The service was prompt and the staff was amiable specially mention of Mr. Ajit Nair. So, if you have not been their yet, what are you waiting for. I would love to visit them again. Cheers!!! Food: 5/5 Service: 5/5 Decor: 5/5 Value for Money: 5/5 P.S: The review is based on an invite. The review is strictly depending on my personal experience.

My second visit here and totally loved the food once again. I tried their new Chinese New Year Menu and it transported me to China. Loved everything right from soup to desserts. A simple clear soup with udon, broccoli and bokchoy.. really flavorful and perfect for the cold weather. Crispy sweet and spicy fried eggplant.. So so good. My husband said, "why don't you make this at home?" Crispy chilli potatoes.. crisp potato chips tossed with chilli and coriander.. quite good. Cottage cheese and edamame tossed in chilli and peppers.. quite flavorful. Loved it. My son enjoyed it. Vegetable fried rice went well with the beautiful delicious, garlicky and mild Tofu Spinach Gravy and a mild soy chilli Broccoli and Bokchoy Gravy. Loved them. Again a comment from my husband, "after ages I've had authentic chinese like how we had back in China" that's a compliment indeed. The chilli noodles were to die for. Loved them. Needed no accompaniment. I could finish the bowl if I hadn't eaten the appetizers. So so good. My husband who usually dislikes noodles loved it too. I was too full and hence did not try the desserts buy I'm sure they were equally good. Definitely a fantastic place for chinese food lovers. ---------------- Chinese/Asian food is love. It's close to my heart. Always on a hunt for good authentic Chinese food. I visited Imperial China yesterday to try the chefs special curated menu. The restaurant is beautiful and well designed. Coming to food, I really enjoyed it! We started with a tom kha soup which was quite flavorful. Well balanced and delicious. The vegetable spring rolls were delicious. Crisp wrapper and a perfect filling of vegetables inside. Yummy. Cottage cheese in a spicy sauce. These were delicious. Cottage cheese tossed in a spicy garlicy sauce. Totally lip snacking. Spinach and Cabbage Dimsums. These were decent. The outer skin could have been softer and thinner. Coming to the mains, Tofu claypot, a delicious black bean gravy with tofu cubes. Flavorful and not very spicy. Perfect accompaniment with the spicy basil fried rice. The basil fried rice was delicious. Spicy and flavorful. Okra chilli basil fry.. these were delicious. Crispy and spicy okras, So so good, couldn't stop eating them. It was a dry preparation. Can be eaten as an appetizer. Wok tossed baby aubergines.. small eggplants tossed with garlic, spring onions and jalapenos. They were good. Again a dry preparation. A little gravy would have been lovely. But still a good dish. Coconut pudding with a toffee sauce.. perfect, balanced dessert to end the perfect meal. Overall a fantastic meal. 1teaspoonlove recommends Food -4.75/5 Ambiance -4.5/5 Service -4/5 Vfm -4/5 Return Index -4/5

A Fine Dine Restaurant serving Authentic Chinese cuisine which was awarded the best Chinese Cuisine-Travel & Leisure Food Award 2018 recently. Few things to know about Imperial China @ Hilton Dinners Only (Timings – 7 pm to 11:30 pm) Zomato Gold Food Offer is applicable Serves Authentic Chinese Cuisine Only. No Indian Chinese or Other cuisine food is served here. Their new Sous Chef Thomas Lai has curated a special Chinese New Year menu to give authentic Chinese food lovers in mumbai a chance to experience some traditional Chinese New Year dishes. A Couple of things to know about Chinese New Year 2019 1. Officially Chinese New Year started on 05th Feb & will carry on till 19th 2. There are 12 Zodiac Animals & 2019 is the Year of the Pig. 3. Few Veg traditional NY dishes are Spring Rolls, Dumplings, Noodles, Hot Pot, Vegetable dishes etc. Highly recommended Dishes from our Order Tom Kha; Veg Shanghai Spring Rolls; Exotic Tofu; Okra Chilli Basil; Pan Fried Noodles; Burnt Garlic Rice & Wasabi Ice Cream. Their tomato based sauce is lip smacking. Our Veg Menu Curated by Chef Thomas Lai for the evening was as follows : - SOUP Tom Kha (Veg Thai Coconut Soup) APPETIZER & MAIN COURSE 1.Spinach & Cabbage Dim sum 2.Veg Shanghai Spring Rolls 3. Exotic Tofu 4. Honey Pepper Baby Corn 5. Wok Tossed Baby Aubergines (eggplant) 6. Okra Chilli Basil 7. Long Bean Stir Fry 8. Greens & Vegetables in White Garlic Sauce 9. Pan Fried Noodles 10. Burnt Garlic Rice DESSERT 1. Banana Toffee 2. Wasabi Ice cream DRINKS 1. Strawberry Delight 2. Apple Mojito 3. Whiskey Sour In terms of uniqueness, flavors, textures Chef Thomas Lai was impressive. He used Okra & Aubergine (eggplant) as a main Chinese dish ingredient for two Vegetarian dishes which was delicious, refreshing & quite impressive tbh. Fine Dine Restaurants are often criticized for being pricey, slow serve time & offer less VFM from a customer’s point but they do make you feel like a VIP, offer unique food combinations & the entire food experience will be remembered for a long time. Imperial China manages to covers all the areas from Soothing ambience, Vintage Decor, Classy crowd, Supreme Food Quality, Chinese Cuisine Authenticity & Overall Staff management (dress code, behavior, politeness & food serve time) elegantly & efficiently. Imperial China could improve in two areas : - Dish presentation & Serve Time. It’s good but has scope for improvement. Overall - Imperial China lives up to its award winning reputation & pressure of being a fine dine restaurant inside a classy hotel like Hilton. You should visit Imperial China for the food experience & let the Staff spoil you for choice.

This review is based on an invite to attend the Yum Cha Festival held at The Imperial China. This was my first visit to Hilton and I must say I was impressed. Simple and classy ambience with royal looking upholstery and tapestry. I loved the ceiling fan here. It’s so unique. The restaurant is based right near the lobby area and it’s a pretty place. We were here to attend a special dinner arranged for us. They have 3 set menus to choose from, the veg menu, the meat menu and the same food menu. The price of the set menu we chose was 1550 plus taxes. They have an offer, if a guest finishes the entire set menu then they get a 30% off on the bill. Not too sure of the terms and conditions but this is what I assume. We chose the veg menu which had a choice of more than 10-12 appetisers, 3 mains and a choice of 3-4 delicious desserts. Mocktails —————- We tried 3 of them, the lemon and sprite based one, the khus cooler and one was more like a sunset cooler. All were amazing but do try the khus based drink. It is extremely refreshing. Appetisers —————— We had a choice of lovely appetisers like vegetable hot basil, hot potatoes, volcano vegetables, golden pearl, gold coin, veg momo, stuffed okra, tsinghai mushrooms, veg spring rolls, Vietnamese roll, vegetable treasure pouch & corn cake. All of these were par excellence and not one let us down. I must add that I loved the serving style. Small plates which served individual portions was a perfect way to enjoy a meal like this. Maincourse —————— We were given a choice of fried rice, jasmine rice, noodles and gravy. We could choose our base sauce and vegetables for the gravy. We opted for the Hakka noodles, fried rice and the manchurian with hot garlic gravy. Food was delicious and I couldn’t stop eating. Desserts ————- We had 4 options, date pancake with ice cream, sago melon pudding, tub tim Grob & the honey noodles with icecream which we chose. The dessert was so hearty and soul touching that we decided to call for one more of it. A special thanks to Mr. Nagarajan (Restaurant manager) and our table attendant, Ajit Nair. They made sure to be utmost attentive and the entire team was warm and cordial. I loved everything about this dining experience here and I would love to be back with my entire family someday as I’m sure they would love this too. It’s a place to be relished with your loved ones.
