Amazing food in a place out of nowhere.
Although the joint is very famous but its located in a small corner of a very busy street of Kalbadevi. From outside it looks like any ordinary 'bhojnayala" or " baasa" ...
Inside its decent...air conditioned, neat, clean , hygienic. But the magic starts once the food is served.
One of the best thalis I have ever had. The taste, the spread, the presentation and texture of every dish is just perfect.
Best dahi vadas I ever had and never had such amazing hot Patras. The bhajis, daal bati, kadhi, different kinds of roti ...everything was perfect...including the quantity served in the plates in the first helping.
What actually takes them beyond excellence is the warmth with which food is served. They serve you with great hospitality and keep requesting you to take more like you are a guest at home.
Its very reasonably priced and is complete value for money.
Strongly Recommend to people who want to have desi gujrati / marwari pure veg thalis.
Only its too heavy and makes one feel lazy after eating so much. Which is again a compliment for the food !!!
I am a hard core foodie!!! I generally love to taste foods from different cultures, though i am a South Indian. This place was a pleasant surprise amidst the chaotic Bhuleshwar market (in the heart of South Bombay) and the food, ambience, hospitality, hygiene & quality was undoubtedly supreme!!!! Though Gujarati or Rajasthani thali's are the last in my list of preferences, this one has really done its home work well and made it to the top in my list of preferred food joints!!! It is a must try joint for those who love eating without barriers!!
Shree thakker bhojnalay, the most iconic gujrati restaurant located in the busy streets of kalbadevi holds a special place in my heart.
Serving all the authentic desi gujrati dishes, thali at thaker is a must try.
The quality of food is really high here and one of the reasons why I love this place.
Coming to what I tried here,
Gujrati khichdi and khadi
This is the best combo. Piping hot tangy kadhi served along with khichdi (topped up with lots of ghee) is the main dish of this restaurant.
Reshmi paratha
Soft, thin hot and perfect 🤗
Also was super filing
Also would like to add tht the thali is unlimited, so eat till you drop.

At Shree Thaker's, it's evident that they believe in customer satisfaction and hospitality.. Everything is so well managed..the owners personally come at your tables and make sure that you're well attended.. Everybody is so calm and polite inspire of the long queues!! The food is absolutely worth the wait!

You will njoy the food from the time you are bmstartef being served coz the staff gives you homely and best hospitality feeling which makes food more enjoyable. The owner of this restaurant is such a charming person that he visits personally to you and offers to take a bit more with tips of how to have it. This is the best place I have every visited to have Gujarati thali. Though being Gujarati With a chef mom at home I often have most of the servings but trust me the taste that they have no one will every be able to match. No doubt the reason they are the oldest and the bestest in this business and also being recognised with times award for more than 3 time. There are more than 15 items and each one of them is just yummy. This is way way way better than @rajdhanithali where food serving is just a business. If You are in Mumbai don’t leave without visiting this place. You will love the city more because of restaurants like this. Tip: long waiting on weekends and weekdays😅. You might fetch a celeb if you are here at the right time 😉
Probably the best Gujarati Thali in the world. The owner, Gautam Purohit, takes personal interest in every guest and ensures they have a great experience. The food is simply delicious and yet not too heavy.
Absolutely loved this place. The variety they have for the thali is just exhausting and the service is great!! Each and every dish given in the thali had a unique taste and well prepared!! Would absolutely recommend this place to anyone who wants to have an unlimited thali!!
Authentic Gujarati Thali with lots of good food!! This place was on my mind since a long time, n I finally visited it! The food is delicious, the desserts are too yummy!! The staff is courteous and welcoming! Definitely a hidden gem in the bylanes of Kalbadevi! 👍
Great food - we tried all of the different dishes incl bread types and rice! Great also for tourists who want to try out various dishes.
The service was amazing - fast (perfectly optimized supply chain!), super friendly and we received introductions to each dish!
The place is also extremely clean and full of local people. A definite must visit when you are in town!
First of all you are not paying for the food you are paying for an experience... The hospitality and care offered is on another level.. food is great not some thing u can eat every day, at least for us as it is really rich and loaded with ghee.
It's a one time must and there forth recommendation is also a must.

One of the best, cleanest and awesome places to have a Gujarati thali.
Very systematic, excellent loving service. They feed you like you are a family member.
No valet parking plus almost no parking available so keep that in mind.
Go on an empty stomach to enjoy it to the fullest.
Lunch is preferable to enjoy it more.
Gujarati thaali done right. Unassuming clean and absolutely cooked to perfection a panoply of authentic dishes. Fantastic service. Top 1% of restaurants I have been to.
Authentic gujarati thali with over 25 dishes, served with no limit. The taste gave a homely feeling. Must-try!
Had a wonderful time with the family, the food was utterly butterly delicious.... So many dishes were served that I lost counts of them 😀, the desserts were also very tasty.

A busy and popular place with very friendly staff. We went on a weekday and had a slight waiting time. We were ushered in and seated. Different foods kept appearing. I particularly enjoyed the hot rotis and breads. To help digest all the delicious and rich food, I highly recommend drinking a lot of the cooling buttermilk (chaas).
Great place to visit with friends and family. Just loosen your belt before eating!
This thali never ceases to amaze you. One of the best Thalis you can have ever and ever.
The owner themselves ensure that you are well served and you eat till you drop. The snacks, the rotis sabzi and the deserts; you will wish to have 2, possibly 3 stomachs. Its a real treat to eat here.
Excellent food , only problem is car parking if you are bringing your car it will be a challenge to park it , pp is rs 800

I fell in love with the staff. Amazing people making super delicious food. I’m a newbie when it comes to Indian food but they were the best at showing me the best way to taste the servings. Lovely experience.
