Old time popular place. Food is good. Service is good. Has its own loyal customer base i guess. A tad expensive, given the lack of any major ambience, therefore 1 star less from a value for money point. But definitely do go
It was very yummy and I have tried most of the dishes and the taste is very good and unique..
Must try Teekha kulcha if you love spicy food.. also try lassi or Chah glass..
This is an authentic Sindhi restaurant, all the dishes are unique and different, I just loved Dal Pakwan, Chole, Paneer Kulcha and Lassi.
Highly Recommended !!!
You can try Sindhi Dishes here like Dal Pakwan, Chole Pattice. Taste is very authentic & delicious. Most of the dishes are from Sindhi & Punjabi Cuisine. Prices are pocket friendly. Staff is very co-operative and helpful in nature. Look & Decor is bit ageing & needs upgrade. But worth trying all the dishes. We will have to visit many times to cover so much :)

The vegetarian cuisine of Sindh is fascinating since it surely does not exist in anything of its original form in modern day Pakistan. So the closest we can come to an authentic representation is in hotspots of the post partition Sindhi community in cities like Bombay. And the best place to do that in Bombay is at VIG Refreshments, located in the Sindhi Camp area in Chembur.
The dal pakwan was amazing - the pakwan was perfectly crispy and greasy, and it made for the perfect partner to the mix of dal with a bit of chole on top.
This is a gem with honest earthy food, served real quick, at very reasonable rates. The chhole IMO could do with a little more heat but that's only a minor suggestion for improvement. Had almost everything - parathas, kulche, samosas, bhature, pattice, chass, lassi, etc. and it was all very good. Seating is not particularly great and the place generally looks run-down but the kitchen is pretty clean.
PRO TIP - spoon out a little bit of the pan flavoured jaggery in the pickle bottle at the cash counter - for the perfect item to close the meal with.
