It is near Bombay Stock Exchange, walkable from
Flora Fountain, Fort area. Bun Maska and Chai is
classic. They have special good items per day
apart from regular Parsi non-veg and veg food.
Chicken Cutlet and Chicken Masala along with
Breads simply fatastic. The payment is only
in Cash but then, there are ATMs nearby for cash
withdrawal.
One if the few remaining Irani restaurants in Mumbai. It still had the old world rustic charm to it and. Serves a special dish during lunch every day along with Irani restaurant specials like omlette, cutlet and so on.
We loved the Irani Pulao here which is specially served during lunch. It was delicious. And quite filling and easy on pockets.
If you have never been to Irani cafe, font forget to try out the legendary irani chai and Pallonji's raspberry soda

It is one of the oldest Irani Cafes of town.
Those old typical yet humble interiors remind you of celebration of their Iranian food.
Salli Botti is the perfect dish for those who live sweet and spicy tingling taste.
One of their signature dishes is a must try.

A classic South Mumbai restaurant serving Parsi food. The place has the typical vibe of these old timer places - simple decor, tables placed close to each other and one page menus. We tried the Mutton salli botti & chicken keema with couple of plates of pav. The day's special Irani pulao was unfortunately out of stock by the time we reached. Both the dishes were tasty but wouldn't call it the best I've had till date. Ofcourse we had the raspberry soda to go with our meal & a caramel custard to finish off. The caramel custard was ok.. it was clearly those packaged ones & not freshly made at the cafe.
Overall it was a filling, decent meal within a reasonable price range.
My 406th review
I m in love with this kind of old heritage cafes in south mumbai, nariman point ke pucha, fort, colaba, kala ghoda area. It gives vibes of old mumbai with antic furniture n food served in old style, menu placed under d glass of table.

This cafe is very hygienic and it is for family friends and couples .
The food which you get has a traditional Irani taste and spices added are quite different.
Mutton is best served in this place
Ambience is super , staff behaviour is wonderful and I guess this is one of the best Iranian cafe we have in Mumbai.
Portion compared to price is small so they can improve it
Overall it’s a must visit for people visiting fort or Colaba area.
This cafe is very good for morning breakfast must visit this place in the morning time good chai and maska pav is served here must try this place
It is one of the iconic vintage cafes of Mumbai. The menu is limited. It serves Parsi food. The food is good. The ambience is vintage. The waiters serve quite fast and will take care of everything. It also serves beers.
Pro tip: Do try out the weekday special dishes and kheema salli here
An old favourite revisited after a while. The ambience & waiters are still the same but the food taste is not as before. Still, it is quite good and affordable as compared to some others in the vicinity. I would still recommend a visit.
While passing through Colaba and near Kala Ghoda area, saw this rustic looking restaurant and caught attention. Initially looked dull, but after entering, came to know its a Parsi Restaurant. Tried their Chai, Brun/Bun Maska, chocolate mousse and scrambled eggs, which was really good... Food is Good, service is also quite fast, but they accept only cash. Rest all a Good experience
Situated in CST, this Irani cafe, among the oldest, is a favorite haunt of mine. I always opt for the keema pav, and on my last visit, I savored their delicious chicken tikka masala. As a food and bar establishment, I paired my meal with Kangaro beer. The nostalgic Irani vibes add to the charm, but do note that this place accepts 'cash only'.
Cafe Military mein vegetarian ke liye kya hi milega? As it turns out, there are a few dishes. And, the man that Sheriar Koshravi is, the dishes aren't merely as token but taste great too! I had their Veg Pulav is superior than the biryani I have had at most places. Also enjoyed their veg dhansak and caramel custard.
Amazing place to try Irani food. The food quantity is average but the taste is amazing. You get that vintage feel when you visit there.
Cafe Military is one of those old-school Irani Cafes that will take you back in time. The vibe makes you feel like you're back in the good ol' days. The service too here is old school, where orders are remembered mentally and not noted down. The one server on duty still gets all orders right and serves to all tables and guests politely and efficiently.
What we had here was Salli Boti, Kheema Ghotala, Mutton Cutlet Gravy, Kheema Salli, Brain Masala Fry and Dry Mutton Cutlet. Apart from the dry mutton cutlet, all the items came with a side of Pav. We were 3 people and each of the dishes was sufficiently had by each of us. So it's safe to say that the portion sizes are great! Taste-wise as well the food was up to the mark according to me.
At Cafe Military, they also have some interesting selection of Beers. You can enjoy your meal with a chilled beer as well.
For dessert, we had the caramel custard which is popular at Irani Cafes.
I definitely recommend this place, you can enjoy good food with friends and family and also enjoy the vibe around you!.
Mutton kheema & Pav tasted really good. I liked the Kangaro Beer. I would definitely visit the place if I happen to come to Mumbai again.
They only accept cash.

An irani cafe which brings back the old bombay charm with it’s classic irani dishes and an old city charm ambience. Food over here is very tasty definitely try their caramel custard and berry pulao.
This is what a Parsi cafe should be, oh my god the food is amazing and the hospitality is just the best. Mr. Rusi Wadia, is a very humble and sweet man who knows his stuff and guides the customer without misleading them. The chicken cutlet with and without curry is to die for and the caramel custard is just out of this world. To top it all off just grab a soda or their suggested drinks. You can't ask for something better.
Tasty
Economical
Amazing hospitality.
