Best place for sea food lover. It is located on hill road . It’s a small and congested restaurant however the food is to die for. I had ordered their famous bharla bombil, pomfret fry , pomfret pulimunchi, pomfret thali and clams thali. The bharla bombil is stuffed with prawns and then deep fried. It’s little heavy but very tasty. Pomfret fry and pulimunchi was very nice. Their thali comprises of fried fish , fish curry, sol kadhi , rice and chapati or neer dosa. Fish and clams were really fresh. Even the sol kadhi is very refreshing. The service is really quick. Overall a paisa vasol lunch.

This restaurant amazed me at every aspect. Not a very huge space but its a fine dine restaurant with excellent food and service. I was completely impressed. We ordered:
1) Bombil Sandwich 5/5
It was delicious because inside the bombil they had green stuffing. Never tasted a bombay duck this tasty.
2) Tandoori Pomfret: 5/5
They ask you the size of the pomfret by showing you on the table. We chose the 1k one. It was cooked to perfection! I would eat it all alone if given a choice❤️
3) Prawns Hirva Masala: 5/5
This was again so delicious. Green masala isn’t available everywhere thats why ordered it but really happy with this decision. Must order if you’re looking something to eat with Neer dosa.
4) Methi Malai Matar: 4.5/5
It was also good but with a little bit of a sweet taste. But this dish is meant to be mild and so this was too but great quality overall.
5) Sol Kadhi: 3/5
I have tasted better Sol kadhi before. This could have been more flavourful.

Loved the experience of dining here. There are a lot of seafood restaurant options in the city but I can definitely say that Jai Hind will be one of the finest in them. Cant wait to be back😀
This is my all time favourite restaurant for sea food. It always satisfies my seafood cravings.
This was my 1st visit at this outlet. But I must say that the food they serve is fresh and delicious just like Dadar west outlet.
But like other outlets, this place is also small and was crowded. On this part, they surely need to improvise their service with respect to the number of people visit here.
Here, we had ordered following dishes.
1. Tandoori Crab - 4/5 They served it with salad and it was mouthwatering. Though they didn't provide the crab cracker, but upon asking they helped in breaking the crab bones.
2. Bombil fry - 3.5/5 Bombil was fresh and tasty but they should have served it with either salad or chutney and lemon is must with the fried fish.
3. Prawns tawa masala - 5/5 highly recommended.
4. Bhakari - 4/5
5. Malwani wade - 5/5 They serve best malwani wade.
6. Salted lime soda - 5/5. It was perfect, the way we wanted..
This is the 2nd time I visited this place with my family and it was truly blissful. The 1st time disappointed us a bit because we ordered fish thali and didn't turn out to be best but this time it's was super good. We ordered chicken sukka thali with prawns fry thali and Sol kadi which they are too good at. The thali was plenty for more than 1 person which makes it more worth ordering for.
Overall the ambience is good. It might get crowded occasionally but the food is really good. We enjoyed the food.

Ordered food from here when I was craving hot Marathi/Konkani food! Being from Delhi, mughlai in Bombay wouldn’t do for me. So we ordered from here and the mutton Kolhapuri blew my mind! The surmai was real yum too!! Have them with neer dosa as was recommended to us and we ended up having a brilliant dinner! Much recommended.

I not only order from Jai Hind a few times during the month but I visit the place and the food is phenomenal. The best place to get a decent prawn curry and appam. Don't miss the prawn tawa masala and bombil fry. Except for the fact that they are a tiny restaurant (so space is a issue - and waiting is involved ) I have no complaints with this place
Great Bombil (Bombay Duck) fry and Mackerel Ambotik.
Restaurant is small but air-conditioned and clean.

I had a wonderful experience dining at Jai Hind Lunch Home in Pali Naka. The food was absolutely delicious, and the service was top-notch. Jai Hind Lunch Home, Pali Naka, Bandra (west)
Jai Hind is a brightest shining star of the galaxy of coastal cuisine restaurants in Mumbai. With the few branches spread across the city, this branch at Bandra, Pali Naka is their first branch. The other one is on the Linking Road, which seems to be rather spacious and well furnished. But as a foodie, my hunt is always for a 'Value for money' restaurants with excellent quality and quantity and this desire of mime gets fulfilled only in humble homely restaurants. This branch at Pali Naka has been renovated recently and has only five tables in all. I recommend to reserve a table in the evening as its a very old and famous restaurant in the area and gets filled quite soon.

Let me begin with the most yummiest first. The chicken sukka was simply top quality stuff made with supreme perfection. It was creamy with great blend of masalas and literally made us lick our fingers till the end. The chicken pieces were one of the softest and well marinated ones I ever had. The Bombil was crispy and crunchy on the outside and soft juicy within. The soul kadi (pink broth) was thick and made with actual coconut milk. The texture of the chapatis were homely and rice was soft, fresh and well cooked.
Patra Ni Macchi was steamed to ultimate perfection, which retained the original flavour of the soft melting Basa fish. The green stuffing on it was blend of spicy and sour.
Over all, A must visit restaurant..

- Chicken Sukka thali - 5 stars 🤩- Delicious gravy with softest chicken.
- Egg Biryani - 5 stars🤩 - Long grained rice with perfect blend of spices and 2 boiled eggs.

Note : There are no washrooms here, so I went to Janta Bar opposite to it, to make me release.
Definitely a must visit place if you're a seafood person. The food is fresh and tasty. The place is always full. The bharlela bombil is a must have from their menu. I also tried the stuffed crab which was equally tasty a little more crab meat and it would be perfect. They would definitely get a five if they improve their chapatti and overall service.

Jai Hind branch located in Pali hill road, Pali Naka Bandra. Fisrt thing first... The food... We liked the food. We went there specially to taste sea food. Prawns started was nice.. non spicy, so kids loved it.... chicken resmi kabab was good. tried bombil thali, paplet thali, surmai thali....all were good. Quantity was sufficient. fry bombil starter, mutton sukka, paplet in hirva masala with neer dosa was yummy. Solkadhi was yummy too!! Pricing was reasonable.
Now the negative part.... Congested roads making difficult to track the restaurant. No parking space. No valet parking. Small and congested dining area. They don't take prior reservations. Doubt if they have restrooms!!! Didn't got time to check that out. We went with young kids and trust me it was a havoc to manage kids there due no space to move around so plan your visit accordingly.
Fantastic coastal seafood restaurant, delicious fish curry, fried fish, prawn curry. The mutton curry is also surprisingly fantastic. Eat with neer dosa!

Finding parking is a challenge as it's at the busy area of Pali Naka
I just go there to have chicken tanduri
But I must say the have good see food items and special Konkani Maharashtran dishes and nir dosa is quite popular too
You can try mudcrab but if you want to try something different ask wether they have a season fish called Jitada.
And don't forget to have solkadi after you have finish your meal
