Textures of bitter chocolate from @qualiabombay
The combination of the soil and sorbet was fantastic and definitely a treat to our tastebuds! .
Qualia holds up the Rahul Akerkar flag high with the quality of Ingredients. We ordered sides more than the mains as I surely miss good vegetarian sides in the city and these ones were delicious, simple fresh vegetables cooked just right. We loved the loved the peppery hand made pasta, don’t remember the name though . The Banoffee 😍was exquisite 😍
Qualia, located in Lower Parel, marks the return of Chef Rahul Akerkar to the Indian restaurant scene. Qualia describes the quality of a sensory experience and this new restaurant offers not a wild vision of new ways to cook but a solid vision of how to eat. Flavours are big and clean, yet deep and elemental – demonstrating a commitment to the freshest ingredients available and an impeccable flair for combining them. The cuisine-agnostic menu with a modern European base, reflects Rahul’s culinary ethos and Indian roots fusing rich culinary techniques with an elemental use of bold flavours.
One of my favorite places to go to in the city.. great innovative food. Lot of efforts taken to curate a fascinating menu and unique dishes packed with bags of flavor. Went for their Sunday brunch this time and absolutely loved it..
This Sunday brunch is a brunch made of dreams! I’ve to go back to try the non-vegetarian menu yet. My favourites is the pancakes, the graham cracker waffle, the pizza 🍕 and the corn bread. Pair it with a Gin & Tonic, your brunch is perfect. Try and get a table by the place where they cook, it’s an ultimate experience. 😍
Loved the food. Fine dining at its finest.
Loved the charred broccoli and the burnt lemon risotto. Staff is very helpful and friendly.
Little burning on the pocket. But a must try.
Superb dining experience at this place. Anand was very helpful in selecting our dishes for us and each and every dish was just amazing
The lamb burger, the corn bread, oven baked clams, the mushroom kale pizza, jalapeño glazed chicken wings,, the tiger prawns, all were so delicious
The mocktails- the berry drink and detox and the cocktails--retox and the vodka based elderflower drink were just made with perfection
And to top it, the desserts were to die for
Overall, a very good experience for Sunday brunch
Will definitely want to try their weekday menu too
Ambience and Service is top. Found the appetisers to be average. Pastas were very nice but portions were tiny. Pizzas made in the woodfire oven were great.
Visited them for a really delicious Sunday brunch. Their hospitality is the very best in Mumbai. Nowhere else have I come across such great and warm people in mumbai.
What I had ?
Mushroom sandwich & chicken burger & moonwalk
What I liked the most ?
Almost everything
Pricing : ₹4000 for all of this
What I thought ?
It’s become my first choice for a weekend brunch now:)
Weekends are for indulging, so forsake your usual green smoothie to tuck into a steaming hot plate of Turkish eggs – poached eggs drenched in yoghurt, lamb kibbeh and flat bread. Add a portion of homemade Cruffins and bottomless Bourbonana and you’re ready to go.
Go for the buttermilk pancakes with red wine plums and frozen yogurt.Pair with a red smoke and make it a sumptous start to a Lazy Sunday brunch.
I had visited this place on 14th February. They had arranged a special menu named The Aphrodite's Table. The food was experimental and delicious. Some people might find the quantity lesser and the prices to be quite high, but I guess this is a price we have to pay for uniqueness, that also a mouthwatering uniqueness. Also, you need to be really open minded before you eat, because you probably will be eating something you have never tasted before and might not always like it. For example, we had ordered Artichoke which I didn't like but the husband loved and again Lobster which I loved but the husband didn't. Actually, all the food items are being cooked to perfection here, but at the end of the day it's your taste buds who make the decision.
The restaurant was very tastefully decorated. The hosts were very friendly, helpful and at the same time professional.
I would highly recommend everyone to try at this restaurant at least once. It will be a classic experience.
Perfect restaurant. Reservation was breezy. Visited on 30th April. Approx cost for 2 would be ₹3000. Parking is superb for both 2 wheelers (free) and 4 wheelers. Food & Taste 5/5. Hospitality & staff 6/5. The chef Rahul Akerkar 5/5. We were welcomed nicely, our server was brilliant and friendly (not over-friendly). They follow etiquettes of dining which is lovely. The food has a tinge of sweet and sour and many of the dishes are served with chutney and pickles. Some pickles are 6-8 months preserved and some even more. It's a really well-planned and made with love as a dream project kind of a restaurant. The food is super tasty and nothing like anything you have ever tasted. Must try. It's a gem.

I like it when a place surprises me, and I loved Qualia, so that should sum it up. This is a place that combines style with class and you feel comfortable the minute you walk in. The decor is rich but not pretentious, there is an extensive liquor menu, the food is different yet not experimental, the service is enthusiastic not forced and the result of all this is a surreal experience of a high end international restaurant in the heart of Mumbai. The food is delicious and not hard on the wallet for it's range and I would suggest it from quiet couple dinners to family reunions. Must visit!
Rahul Akerkar's return has once again set the new standard for great cuisine. Looks like a restaurant you need to visit often and eat through the menu.
We simply loved the food at Qualia. Chef Akerkar’s attention to detail reflected in the careful consideration with which the food was sourced, prepared and presented. We had Tuna Tartare, Grilled octopus , pork chops, Braised Buffalo Cheeks, Charred cabbage, Steak Tartar , Roots with mole, Goat cheese mouse, banofee mess and their version of the torta caprese with vanilla cream. Must visit! A special shout out to Srikant for taking great care of us!
Good food. Fish was cooked to perfection. Gadchiroli mushroom was an interesting addition to the gnocchi. Cucumber lime sorbet was the best
Absolutely outstanding meal. Every dish we ordered was excellent! Desserts were super too! Service was great and our waiter very helpful with his suggestions. Love that the place didn't get too loud with the music either, such a rarity these days! Can't wait to go back, hopefully the liquor licence will be in place by then! So many more things on theb menu we'd love to try! Rahul Akerkar has done it again!
Outstanding food. The best steak tartare in town, leek terrine is a lovely innovation, the burnt lemon risotto is fantastic. The food hits all the right spots. Service though needs a little spruce up, tends to get a tad tardy.
It was a real mixed bag. Some dishes were excellent while a few were at best ordinary. The Lamb Presse was delicious and so were the Carpaccia and Tomato/Burrata.
Right at the start they gave us really nice warm bread with a lovely flavored butter.
Ambience is nice and the open kitchen looks great too.
