This was my first ever visit to Mainland China and I was quite impressed! Located at the ever popular R City mall, this outlet is massive. The ambiance has an Asian theme to it with a modern and luxurious feel.

We were hosted by the Manager Pankaj who was very friendly and helped us with our choice of dishes and drinks. A quick shoutout to the entire front of house team who made our visit a memorable one.

We began with a round of their Eight treasure chicken soup. It has the look and feel of a sweet corn soup that has been bumped up to a luxurious level with loads of ingredients, especially the slices of almond that give it a nice crunchy texture.

We had a long list of appetizers, the vegetarian ones we tried out were Crispy Lotus stem with curry leave and Black pepper and Crispy Corm Chili pepper. While I am not a fan of crispy corn in general, my friend loved it. Lotus stem on the other hand was excellent, its sticky, sweet, spicy and delicious. Worth trying out!

The non vegetarian dishes we tried out were,
Crispy Ginger Chicken, Pan Fried Barbecued Fish, Dynamite Wasabi Prawns and Stir Fried lamb with leek and Garlic. Crispy ginger chicken and the fish were good, fresh and packed with flavor. The other two were excellent, the lamb was fresh and cooked to perfection, I loved the tender texture, almost melts as you bite into it. I am a huge fan of Popcorn Shrimp, and their Dynamite wasabi prawns is a perfect example of it, the shrimp is chopped up and deep fried with crisp outer layer yet soft and tender on the inside. What makes it even better is the wasabi mayo coating, heaven served in a cocktail glass! Strongly Recommended!

Coming to the best part and the highlight of our meal, their Dumplings! I must say Mainland China has some of the best dumplings I have ever had. The non vegetarian ones we tried were Basil Flavored Chicken Dumpling and Sichuan Style Steamed chicken Dumpling. The Basil Chicken was your regular chicken dumpling, the sichuan dumplings took me by surprise, they come swimming in a bed of sichuan sauce and dusted with a coating of Sichuan pepper corn powder that gives it a powerful spicy kick, loved it.

In a rare case where you will here me say this, none of these compared to the veg dumplings!! They were phenomenal and by far the best veg dumplings I have had the Edamame Dumpling with truffle oil is just perfect, mild creamy and delicious, just a dunk in their Chili Soy sauce takes them to a whole new level. The Pan Fried Japanese Dumpling which were stuffed with Mushrooms and fried in truffle oil too were excellent, they have strong truffle flavor and rich creamy texture. Absolutely loved it and I would definitely visit again just for these dumplings! Strongly Recommended even if you are a hardcore non vegetarian like me.

After these long list of starters it was time for mains which lived up to the expectations set by there starters. We tried out their Braised Chicken in smoked chili Sauce, Slice Fish in oyster sauce and Double spicy Chengdu chicken. Again, three perfectly cooked and spiced dishes, we liked all of them. What surprised me here was the rice and noodles and how flavorful it was. We tried the
Ginger Capsicum Fried rice, Celery and Chinese cabbage fried rice with chicken and Japanese wheat Noodles. I loved how there was no compromise on flavor even in their fried rice.

Finally after one of the longest meals I have had it was time for dessert and yet again we were blown away with their Palm jaggery ice cream, something quite unique. It has a crunchy creamy texture and delicious sweet milky flavor. Absolutely loved it. Even their mango pudding was rich creamy and delicious but the ice cream stole the show.

Lastly a huge shout out to the bar team for serving us some excellent cocktails, being whiskey lovers we tried out their Whiskey based cocktials Paul john sour, New York sour, Oriental johnnie and Not so old Fashioned. All of them were excellent and packed with flavor and a strong kick of whiskey, however if I had to pick a winner it would be the Oriental Johnnie for its refreshing flavor with the Not so old fashioned in second place.

Overall I had an excellent time at Mainland China and I would surely recommend visiting with friends and family for a nice long dinner, perfect place to host a party if you have a big group. Cheers!

We were hosted by the manager, Pankaj, who was welcoming and helped us with our choice of dishes and drinks. The staff was courteous and hands on. The restaurant tops at their hygiene standards given the situation, and made it a pleasant experience for us. We began with a round of the Lung Fund with egg white chicken soup. The soup was delicious and was bumped up to a luxurious level with egg white on it. We then tried the Jiangs Chilli Chicken which was tangy and delectable. You wouldn’t find a coating of batter while you bite into the chicken pieces. The sauce was excellent. To complement our main course, we ordered some mocktails. We called for the Watermelon and cilantro crush which was refreshing and has pieces of watermelon, and Lychee and basil quencher which was a sweet and tangy Mocktail, a drink you’d love to have in the summers! We tried the Chicken and straw mushroom Siumai which passed the test on authentic siumai. By far it has been one of the best siumais we’ve tasted. It tasted remarkable with a dense combined smell, and a slightly spicy taste. Soon, we moved on to the main course and ordered our basic, Egg and chicken fried rice, and General Tao’s chicken. The fried rice was yum, and the General Tao’s chicken tasted sweet, sour with a taste of soya sauce and some peanuts. We then tried our hands on some authentic noodles, and ordered Black pepper noodles chicken which was prepared in Cantonese style, was light on the tummy and still filling. We paired it up with some Chicken with Chillies and Basil which was served in a clay pot. The quantity and quality of all the dishes are to be commended. The pieces of chicken were sliced well and prepared in a thick sauce. We were quite full with this and ended our meal with some desserts. The hot chocolate rolls with ice cream seemed intriguing, and so did the Honey Noodles with Almond Flakes. The hot chocolate rolls were topped with coconut flakes, and was rich and unique. They went along with the ice cream. The honey noodles with almond flakes was not too sweet, and did just well. All in all, it was a great dinner at Mainland China, with commendable hospitality from staff, great hygiene standards, and amazing food.

We were at Mainland China this afternoon to try some of their brilliant Chinese meal after a really really long time. First up its worth mentioning the kind of precautions that they are using to ensure that the family dining in the place is safe. Right at the entrance, the usual Temperature check and the sanitization happens. Post that every alternate table has been blocked out to ensure that there is actually social distancing and the best part is that every table has its own bottle of sanitizer. Every server is wearing masks and gloves and it's extremely safe. Next up the service is worth mentioning. Even though we were slightly before time we were welcomed very warmly and were seated and ensured we were well taken care of. Even throughout the entire meal we were treated very specially. It was a lovely treat. Mr subbu, Santosh,  Tulu and just so many more who's name I am missing but all of them were the most courteous, caring people that I have ever experienced. We tried the below dishes: 1. Honey Chilli Potatoes: these were crisp, slender, deep fried chunks of potato coated in a tangy and spicy sauce. The potato lover in me was the happiest while gobbling on a plateful of this. 2. Pan Fried Asian Chilli Fish: the pan fried fish was fresh and really soft. The sauce was a really spicy and sweet mix with a whole lot of veggies. It was just amazing. 3. Thai style vegetarian dumplings: the dumplings had the lightest coating and a hum of really light lemongrass on the background. The filling was stuffed with a whole lot of veggies which added a slight crispness to the soft cover. Really nice. 4. Chicken and Mushroom Sui mai: the Sui mai was really soft and succulent. The filling had the juiciest combination of chicken and Mushroom. Just loved it. 5. Chilli basil fish in clay pot: the clay pot was really great, it had a very spicy sauce and had a brilliant flavor. 6. Chicken Fried rice: this was my favourite dish of the evening. It is often said that the best things in life are simple and this just exemplifies that. The fried rice was very lightly seasoned and had large chunks of chicken and eggs. It really didn't need another accompaniment, it was good as is. 7. Honey noodles with Ice cream: the honey noodles were crisp and had an amazing flavour. I'm not normally a fan of this but genuinely enjoyed it. 8. Chocolate Rolls: the chocolate rolls were awesome, had a stuffing of chocolate with condensed milk and was deep fried. 9. Pina colada: the Pina colada was refreshing. 10. Orange spiroska: the orange drink was slightly tangy but quite delicious. We had the best Chinese meal in a long long time. It was so good that we just couldn't get up from the place after eating coz we had just stuffed ourselves. We really enjoyed ourselves and would definitely recommend this to one and all.

If you’re tired of local, Desi Chinese and want to experience authentic Chinese fare - look no further and head out to Mainland China. Although this is a little upscale restaurant, their buffet meals are a little lighter on the pocket. The sheer variety of food on offer would spoil you for a choice. Their desserts are to die for and are fancily disguised in an armour that provokes you to pile up those calories. A Live kitchen table offers you freshly stir fried dishes as a part of your starter meal. Visit this place for a wholesome Chinese meal and thank me later!

Mainland China has always been my go to authentic Chinese food. I have been a fan of the place over 6 years now. And I must say they surprise me every time single time I visit their outlets. Mainland China is known for their authentic and pure Chinese flavors with an extensive menu. The variety on their menu is commendable covering each place of Asia covering all types of pan Asian dishes. And super glad they have the same number of variations for vegetarians as equal to non-vegetarian dishes. Coming to the ambience the decor of the outlet is purely Asian with beautiful Chinese letter engravings and dim light making it a suitable decor for fine dine. The staff and the entire management is super courteous, caring and making your entire dining experience a feel like home touch. Must try dishes would be 1- Vietnamese Noodle Clear Soup - Its a clear soup for your soul . Traditional Vietnamese hand pulled rice noodles , soft tofu , with roasted garlics, fried onions, broccoli, bok choy, making the soup rich in flavors and gives you a soothing comfort. 2- Edamame Truffle Oil Dumpling- Beautiful Money Bag dim sum in whiteish green color with a beautiful purple crown on the top with made with Edamame filling along with the subtle touch of truffle oil . Super soft just probably going to melt in your mouth . 3- Jiang's Chill Cottage cheese - A classic traditional version of chilli cottage cheese with the cottage cheese just being super soft melting in your mouth with ginger, red chills ,white pepper hitting you correctly with the right amount of spice. 4- Celery Chinese Cabbage Fried Rice- from the flavors of the celery and Chinese cabbage you can make out very clearly the rice is perfectly hit and then stir fried with the right burnt texture. 5- Exotic Veggies in Chilli Basil Sauce - the best combination to be had with rice. Super soft and crunchy veggies tossed in chilli and basil sauce make it a one of a kind curry . 6- Chocolate rolls - Its one of the best desserts i have ever had in my entire life. Super soft chocolate spring rolls , filled with brownie textured thick dark chocolate with drizzle of honey and desiccated coconut served hot and tastes the best with cold vanilla ice cream . Special Mention to Mr.Prahlad for having an amazing team of courteous staff. And also special mentions to Tarit and Varun Kumar for being so gentle and caring while serving us. Over all 5/5 for food, portions , value of money, safety, social distancing, taste , ambience , service .
