This place should be mentioned as the must visit restaurant for seafood lovers!! The food is authentic, fresh and very very tasty. And the prices are just right!! The fish thali that we ordered was perfection, the fried prawns and deep fried na deli fish was fresh and good portions. The chutney was very very tasty. Overall a very clean, hygienic and friendly place to visit with family to taste authentic saraswat cuisine. Feels like itβs been cooked at home and served with love
Awesome must visit...sea food lovers paradise..clean and well lit minimalistic decor.. one of the best sea food and the only saraswat seafood place which i have ever tried in this city...
In the current situation can u kindly deliver to goregaon east as well? We would be delighted! Do try considering.
Loved the food! Great service. Super liked the crab masala π
This place has wide variety of delicious sea food at an amazing price. It's a must visit for a sea food lover.
Never had so many options in Saraswat food, they know their fish . Great service, would recommend it for seafood lovers.
It was indeed amazing experience with food and ambience.five star for food.it was yummy π
I was fortunate to be invited here at this lovely place situated in Goregaon west. The night started off with the signature dish of the restaurant- Stuffed bombil, never in my life did I ever imagine having bombils the way they were served there. All the soft delicious meat stuffed in a delicious coating served hot and crispy. Followed by the delicious prawns koliwada and butter garlic prawns. Along with that I was served with Surmai fry, squid rings and prawns green masala, all three items which will make your Sunday afternoon a chilled one if consumed as a side dish with a chilled beer. And special mentions to the Kokam sarbat which builds the appetite and the Solkadhi which is a classic beverage to have post dinner, which we Maharashtrians are fan of. I highly recommend this place for lovely sea food and having a great time !
It is one of the tastiest seafood restaurant, i found fishes are fresh in taste into fish platter & prawns biryani is aromatically yummy with really good big pieces,
Also they serve other authenticate saraswat currys in fish, chicken, shell fish crab & clams & squid as well
In the desert they also serve dudoli which made out of Nachani which is less sweet in taste & yummm..
Staff is polite & generous
Overall is good Experience
one of the tastiest sea food restaurants in western suburbs
. Must try. Prefer ordering at home. Keep it up
My favourite seafood restaurant in Mumbai.... Love how they prepare food in authentic Konkan style. Food is very hygienic and must try
Matsya β The saraswat seafood restaurant, Goregao (West)
My Recommendations-
β’ Solkadhi
β’ Bobshi Koshimbir
β’ Prawns Tawa Masala
β’ Bangada Triphala Ghashi
β’ Crab Sukke
β’ Caramel Custard
Location- Located in kind of famous area of suburbs known as bangur nagar. Easily accessible on M.G. road and off link road in Goregao (W). (4/5)
Theme- Got a powerful concept as they are the only restaurant who serves Saraswat (Western coast of India) food in Mumbai I guess. (4.5/5)
Ambience- Certainly a bright and positive feel you get once you enter. Dining area can accommodate good number of covers. Seating is comfortable enough with couches and chairs. Walls got few of the vintage picture frames which go very well with the theme of the restaurant. Bright lighting is really what I liked. When it comes to restaurants of these kind, interiors hardly matters because itβs always about food why we choose the place. (4/5)
Food- As we know Indian cuisine is so vast and really detailed. Food of saraswat community is really kind of unsaid or never came in popularity I feel. This community always believed that seafood is their vegetables. They are not much into eating of land based animals so the love for the seafood is really at high level. Though this cuisine is influenced by Konkani and south Indian cuisine they have their own identity too. This restaurant have really brought the saraswat cuisine live. Dishes made with lot of coconut tamarind can be seen in the menu. Portion size and different unexplored taste of the food is what made my meal really special and impressive. (4.5/5)
To sum up- Quality and quantity of the food which was served was really at highest level. We never tend to explore new cuisine but Matsya really got impressing food for you. Freshly cached fish and traditional recipes is what they have concentrated and already we saw the result of it. Do try out this restaurant and I am sure you will enjoy this untouched saraswat cuisine. For sure I will be one of the regular guests of Matsya now onwards. Strongly recommended, do visit them.
Loved this place...after ages have had a satisfying fish thali...
We also tried surmai fry which actually reminded me of my moms tava fried surmai...the masala tasted so home made and the fish was fresh as it could be!
They had a welcome drink, kokam sarbat which on a hot summer day felt like being in heaven π
Coming to the thali..
Fired prisons - yummmm
Surmai curry - nice
Prawn bhaaji - descent
Clamps koshimbir - superb!
Rice Bhakti - soft and nice
Rice - good
Solkadi - excellent
Pickle & onion slice - ππ»
Overall ...place worth visiting!
Ambience - calm and nice with a small fish tank !

The food was just wow!!! We ordered Rawas rava fry which was fresh, Bangda pedawan (a must try), Mori sukka, prawns aambat. The dudoli in dessert part was nostalgic. in all a great find.
Excellent seafood place. Saraswat cuisine is its specialty. Hence all dishes marked as a Saraswat Specialty is a must try. Seafood soup is excellent so is the Kanne fish fry. Triphala seems to be an essential ingredient of Saraswat Cuisine and lends an unique flavor to the dishes.
Cost wise its not too expensive and average cost of dish is in the range of Rs 300
Ambience is good. It strives to create an aura of coastal Karnataka and manages to land a touch of warmth and hospitality
Nice Saraswat Sea food with a good ambience.a tad on the expensive side and with a not so good concept of not servong fish thali on sundays..worth visiting.Do try Stuffed Bombil ...
Nice hotel for the malvani crowd ,goos serice ,good food ,
Should try stuff bombil fry
Solkadi is very tasty
Food is up to the mark. Good quality as well as quantity. Service is polite. When it comes to menu,, they vivid options available. Only one concern. I found that the taste and style of cooking was more Malvani than Goan (Had ordered fish thali).
The place has a wide variety of delicious sea food specially for starters... A must try wld be the fish platter which would not only look pleasing to the eyes but taste also amazing π.... The staff is also very courteous which makes it a pleasant family restaurant.
The ambiance of restaurant is nice. The staff is friendly. The food is yummy but little bit expensive as compared to quantity.
