Hotel ShangHigh was before Kode. Absolutely an amazing place to be with your family and friends even to have a date night dinner here. Music is sober and ambiance is super classy. The overall vibe here is pretty romantic and amazing. It'd be better if reservations are made prior, especially on weekends. Talking about food. Surprisingly the food was affordable and genuinely rich. We loved everything what we had here. One of the finest cutlery they’re using as a presentation at ShangHigh. Loved the Suan la tang soup typically Chinese Avocado Kale and beet root salad was perfect. Dimsums and baos were well made. We recommend you to try out their turnip cake The portion size for the main course were sufficient for 2 In dessert the white chocolate brownie was delicious but the one with mocha flavour was average Staff is very courteous and the manager is well dressed and soft spoken. Also there's live performance on Thursday and the weekend ahead.

So Shanghigh is a newly opened concept restaurant by Zoravar Kalra. Replacing Kode which was a cocktail heaven, Shanghigh is a mid range and economical restaurant with a combination of Indian and Asian cuisine. A customer at shanghigh is actually for an experience and not only food. With the theme from 90s restaurant where you always have live performances this place is full of life. As a concept from Kalra the staff out here is very energetic about explaining the dishes and Gastronomy behind it. Omkar was taking care of our table and was super enthusiastic. I would like to highlight a few dishes which we loved. Cocktails: Rise of Republic (Must try): A beautiful looking cocktail with a perfect blend of bourbon and sparkling wine. The game changer was bourbons history with China and how they made it taste better with this cocktail. Age of Invention (Must try): The most selling cocktail on the menu with a very decent presentation but a mind blowing taste. Gin with milk washed hibiscus made it a beautiful combination and I never realized my drink was over. Shanghigh Clear Mushroom Broth with Chicken (Must try): The quantity of soup is worth it but the best part is how spicy and tangy it is at the same time. With chopped chillies, carrot and broccoli a perfect soup to start with. Avocado Kale and Beetroot Salad: I am not a salad guy but this one was actually tasty. With baby kale dipped in lemon and beetroot slices made a perfect match. Avocado had a golden dressing and nuts too. Turnip Cake(Must try): If anyone would ask me to eat turnip I would for sure avoid it so knew the team at Shanghigh. They actually made us taste this amazing dish with crunchy outside and a soft texture inside. Chicken and Prawns Siu Mai(Must try): With Siu Mai preparation a perfect one for stuffing chicken addition of prawns was an amazing combination and tasted spicy enough. Crunchy Golden Dumpling: This was another Dumpling but this time a crystal preparation filled with crunchy veggies like asperges and carrot. Whiskey Tossed Mandrin Chicken Skewers (Must try):  Looks like chilli potatoes but it's actually a Mandrin preparation of chicken Skewer. Again spicy enough with all the marination they had for chicken. We tried Blue Rice with Seven Spice Chicken which is a killer combination. The blue rice had egg in it to be neutral and the chicken gravy gave it a spicy touch. Spinach Noodles (Must try) is a unique dish I tried which is nothing but a perfect mains with healthy blend. Desserts: Ice cream Rolls (Must try): I have tried fried icecream previously but no one made vanilla flavor taste so good. Crunchy rolls filled with ice cream gives a perfect pleasure. White Chocolate Brownie: This is a white chocolate version of sizzling brownie but again more milky than chocolaty which made it taste sweet. Shanghigh is a must try place with live performances daily after 9pm you will have time worth your money. They also have a in-house magician.

This place has replaced the erstwhile KODE which was a sprawling space. To introduce this place you will be transported back to the 80's Shanghai. Ambience and the vibe here is pretty romantic and amazing. It'd be better if reservations are made prior, especially on weekends. Staff is very courteous and the manager is extremely soft spoken. Very well groomed staff on hospitality. There's live performance on Thursday and the weekend ahead. As for drinks, the staff mentioned they change the cocktail menu every month and is inspired and themed on Shanghai. Food is simply delicious here. - Starters: Pok Choy and Shiitake dumpling, Chicken and Shiitake with golden crisp, chicken and chestnut wonton were simply amazing. You get 4 pieces in a serving. - Mains: Dolsots ( Hot stone bowls). We had the BBQed tofu and avocado dolsot, seven spiced chicken dolsot. Both were delicious and each is good enough per person serving. - Dessert: White Chocolate Brownie, which was just heavenly. Couldn't have been a better conclusion to an amazing meal. It is a must try. Definitely, one of the power house eateries from the Kalra family (Massive Restaurants Group). It is very well priced for the portion they serve and coupled with amazing ambience it's a no brainer for all occasions. Definitely will recommend this place in large number of folks to try as many dishes possible. Kudos to the entire team.

ShangHigh to India ! Totally inspired by the style from best clubs of ShangHigh 😍🔥 The impeccable ambience giving the high vibe , the interiors are meticulously designed giving the vibrancy of dark colours with dim light ! Elegance at its Best :D I entered with my friends on a weekday and the staff was super friendly and acknowledged in all ways. I must say they have elongated menu and amazing options of Asian in their wide spread menu. Nilesh Gupta the server to our table was really friendly and made sure he was a good host to our evening. We started with their Mocktail and cocktails, their 6 signature cocktails that changed every month giving you variety to be tried on. Cocktails:- Age of Invention :- Gin, Milk washed hibiscus and lychee decoction. Rise of republic:- Bourbon, floral syrup, jasmine tea and sparkling wine top up. Death of Emigration:- 9/10 Coming to starters, the chef recommended was at its best. Must Try :- Crystal dumplings :- 9/10 Spinach and tofu wonton :- 10/10 Classic edamame dumpling:- 9/10 Mains:- Blue fried rice at its best with mapo tofu ! It was well made and rice were really good. Desserts :- The crave for it was worth a wait ;) you can miss on matcha delight and white chocolate brownie. They were so very good !! This place is true LIT after 9:00 on Wednesday to Saturday’s , they have live performances and the vibe turns into a different High all together. Highly recommended to experience at the most affordable price.

HOTEL SHANGHIGH - #Newopening at Kamala Mills. Amazing. Ambiance/Feel/Food/Service/Vibe. This place took me to some of the legendary Chinese places and decor in Bombay/Calcutta. Velvet used. Jackets worn. Well they also have performances (guess Thursday to Sunday - check with the restaurant) USP = Food, VFM. Cocktails Good. Overall a place to visit if one needs to try Traditional Chinese (No theatre) Authentic. Started with - Suan La Tang (served in China/Vietnam) Traditional Chinese Soup. One may call it Hot and Sour (a bit peppery and spicy as well) Here they have added Wanton. We had the Veg version. Corn starch level perfect/bamboo shoots/vinegar/white pepper and veggies. Perfect Texture and Balanced well. Salad - Avocado, Kale & Beetroot. Nicely presented. Beetroot gives that sweetness and balances the salad. Golden dressing (lemony with a bit of punch) Sliced avocado on top with baby Kale/roasted beetroot and toasted almond (Nutty/crunchy) overall a treat. Maodou Two Ways - Basically It's Edamame (Nibbles) we asked in Butter Garlic & Five spice Chilli. Simple and good. Lotus Stem Chips - loved this. Garlicky/Crunchy with homemade spices. Small plate. But went well with the lovely cocktails we tried. Fried Golden. Tasted Yummy. Just perfect. Turnip cake - their signature dish. Melt in mouth. Golden Garlic with celery peanuts and beans. Texture and taste - both spot on. BAO - Do try the Sheng Jian & Mushroom. Nice stuffing. Served piping hot. Texture was good. Normally Pan Fried. Here they served it steamed. Speciality of Shanghai. Very Common Breakfast dish in Shanghai. One can also call it Mantou. Mushrooms with green onions. Try out. Crispy Veg Lumpia - Lumpiang Gulay as they say in Chinese. This is basically Filipino Vegetarian Spring rolls. Fried golden stuffed with carrots/spring onions/celery and other diced vegetables. Served with Sweet chilli sauce. Dimsums - Asparagus ,Corn & Palm Heart ( starch wrap ) thin with a filling of asparagus Palm Heart ( vegetable harvested from the inner core and growing bud of certain palm trees ) Also Tried the Golden Dumplings ( Crunchy ) go for it. Both were good with different texture taste and balanced well. Cheung Fun - Rice noodle roll, we asked for the Veg with Crunchy Vegetables. Cantonese dish from Southern China (small meal) Thin layer (like a crape) Stuffed with Diced crunchy vegetables. Served with Soy Sauce and Sui Mei dripping. Momos - a bit messy and a weak dish from the lot. Try keeping it simple. Mains - DOLSOT MEAL (Sizzling Meal Bowl) a meal by itself. Asked for Asparagus/Pok Choy and Mangetout (also known as Snow pea) do not mix up with Bibimbap. Choice of sauce - Spicy hot bean. Condiments RICE (one can opt for noodles) Spring onions/greens/scallions and a bit of Soy sauce used. One needs to mix it and have it like a meal. Enough for one. Priced at 295++ (It's a steal) Eight Treasure Vegetables with Mala Sauce - this went well with fragrant chilli fried rice. Basically there are eight vegetables (exotic) added to the dish (wok tossed) a bit of Chilli Sichuan soy based sauce. Balance was just perfect. Spices correct. Nice combination. One can also have the rice with Tsing Hoi Chicken (very famous in that part of the world) we asked with the gravy. Diced chicken pieces with soy sauce and vegetables. Noodles - Three Grain Knife Shaved Noodles must try. Nice Quantity. Stir fried Asian greens went well. Texture good. Balance perfect. Flat Noodles. A bit of chilli flakes to give the hit. Broccoli/greens used. Dessert - White Chocolate Brownie. Yum this was served with dark chocolate ice cream and chocolate sauce. Overall - FANTASTIC, Must visit place. Again i would say, amazing concept Price is Right. Go for It. PS. They serve some amazing Cocktails. Do Try the Death of the World/Journey of 1000 Suns/Mandate of heaven. Cocktails are customised and curated looking at the Decor/Menu and the History of Hotel ShangHigh.

Grilled Chicken, icecream spring rolls, stir fry veg, water chestnut with shitake mushrooms, duck salad, Lobster all were uniquely prepared and out of world. Mushroom dimsums also had a good taste. Bringing to Mumbai the first high performance dining experience and amazing Instagrammable interiors, Shanghigh is a must checkout new addition to the Kamala partying scene We started the night with some very interesting cocktails, the mandate heaven, the great emigration, the death of warlord and the journey of a 1000 suns, also Shanghigh is going to keep changing their cocktail menu each month so you have something new to try each time you visit Then we moved on to the smoked duck breast and hoisin mango vinaigrette salad and the crab rou & enoki soup In dumplings we tried their classic edamame & truffle dumplings which were our favourite and the prawn & coriander dumpling In tapas, we tried the spare ribs Shanghainese style and the oriental spiced tenderloins, both the dishes we totally recommend In mains, we chose the seven spiced chicken dolsot and the bbq’ed tofu & avocado dolsot which we paired with their very unique blue fried rice and spinach noodles Last but not the least, were the delightful desserts, we went for the ice cream rolls and the white chocolate brownie, the perfect way to end the night Loved the ambience of the place and the live performances, it was a wonderful experience. Ambience: 5/5 Service: 5/5 Food: 5/5 Drinks: 5/5 On the pocket: ₹₹₹
