Amazing ayurvedic massage in a price that you can't beat! With an Indian style steam bath included in the end it was heaven for my body and soul!
So much needed after long time of intense yoga practice. Conveniently located a short walk from Gokulam. They also serve food but I didn't have the chance to try it.
Surely will come back when I visit Mysore again
Best gem you can find in Mysore. Home made healthy food and super affordable. Thank you Suyoga Anna cafe for taking so good care of us 💖🙏🏽
A little place that serves decent food. The service is slow because they prepare everything from scratch. The menu is not very rich and the The food items are very cheap.
We ordered steamed rice, aloo palak and chana masala, the dishes were ok, not great but not bad either. There weren't as many chickpeas in the chana masala and the gravy dishes were a little watery, but the prices were definitely the lowest around.
The crew that runs this place is very pleasant and polite, and the woman who owns the place also offers ayurvedic massage services.
All in all its a nice place to get a homemade budget meal.
The best place for a massage!!! After a massage we got a steam bath as well and it was extremely relaxing. The owners are also very nice and friendly.
As of this writing, Anna offers massage, but there is no cafe. His ayurvedic style massage is excellent. Just the right pressure - not too hard or too soft. Steam bath at the end is perfect.
I disagree with the comment below. This was one of my best massages. Anna I think is his name, gave me two wonderful massages. He is very professional about it, and I felt comfortable with him. It is cheap, so don't go expecting a fancy spa. It is just a room above his restaurant with a massage table and his little steam bath box that you can choose to sit in at the end. The pressure was great, and he uses a lot of oil so that he can make swift, long movements to work out knots in muscles. I was doing an intensive intermediate ashtanga course, and my body was extremely tense. These massages worked wonders to release stiffness and pain in my muscles. I highly recommend getting an affordable massage here!
Nice homey dining area. The food is cooked fresh and is quite good. The prices are also quite good!
The pasta is nice made from scratch or the veg sizzler which has a mild curry sauce.
The owners are a husband and wife team very friendly and nice.
I've not done the message yet, soon though!!
Good French toast. I need to return to try the lasagna.
The massage though is amazing. My second massage was just as good, but when the power is out, the free steam bath at the end is unavailable.
Mr Anna has had decades of experience and I will keep going back as long as he is practicing.
Anna is a guy. He worked in Goa for 15 years as a masseuse and said he's done over 1500 massages. After getting a few 1 hour massages I believe him. He only charges 500 an hour. The massage room is not fancy but it is clean and he has a massage table. He does a mix of deep tissue and Ayurvedic or he will work on a specific problem area.
He is also a cook and makes pasta, roti, French fries from scratch. All the food is made when you order so be patient. There are two tables and one coffee table you can sit on the floor at. Very reasonable prices. It is like going to someone's house for lunch more then a restaurant type feel. His 13 year old daughter helps out some times.
I am very happy with the massages Anna gives. As somebody with an Abhyanga Massage training I would judge him as professional in every regard. I even had the feeling that he was able to read my muscles and where I have pain with his hands without me having to point him anywhere specifically.
For 500 Rupees you really cannot complain about what you get here plus there is a steambath available afterwards (extra 100 Rp).
I was also very satisfied with the food at Anna's Café - freshly made with lots of love at a good price.
