After a long time i had real south indian dish, i.e. original smell of south indian thali and rava dosa.
The food is great, the service is quick and the staff is hospitable. What more its easily accessible and is probably the cheapest eating place in and around CP. Must try for sure.
Must visit for authentic south indian food. Be it variety of dosas or utthappam or the variety of chutneys, the original taste and flavour is maintained and never disappointing. Service and price is also quite decent.
I ordered Dosa, the taste was too good, the flavors were fabulous, the ingredients were fresh ,the packaging done properly and the delivery also on time.
Loved It ❣️
Best south Indian restaurant ever.❤️😍❤️😋 As I am a hard core dosai lover I just love this place. You should go and try
First of all, i know that recent incidents about the Lizard found in sambhar here. Let me tell you something, its been years that they are serving and they have never disappointed their customers. That incident was a mishap but we should give them a second chance. So, This place has been a personal favorite when it comes to South Indian cuisine. The restaurant is old and the food served is authentic and delicious. Good ambience, courteous staff and great food. Also you can visit the restaurant if you want as they are taking precautions like sanitization, social distancing customers, using face masks, etc.
1. Packed on weekends 🤦🏻♀️🤦🏻♀️
If you have time and patience standing in a queue
2.food taste was amazing 😋😋

Sharavana Bhavan in Delhi
Must try
Thank you
Awesome filter coffe. Nothing better than this. Best place for breakfast in delhi. Totally enjoyed the experience.
Go to place for authentic Tamil Nadu Cuisines. This is comparatively less crowded than the one in CP and have better seating arrangements.
Mini Idlis, Masala Dosa and filter coffee are a must try.
After a quick half an hour run on Saturday morning at India Gate, me and my friend went ahead for breakfast at Saravana. This place never let's me down. Filter Capi and Idli Vada Sambhar was a delight to have.
The staff is following strict covid norms and hygiene!!
This is a Tamil style South Indian restaurant.
A lot of menu options at reasonable rate.
Food is good.
Try to order smaller qty items as it may be more than you think/can eat.
Thali has many items. All pre-served. Only drawback is: items will be cold by the time you finish the thali.
Try to reach around 12:30 for lunch to avoid waiting.
A lot of authorised parking available nearby.
Saravana Bhavan captivated me with its unparalleled popularity, evident in the extensive queue that formed outside the restaurant. The anticipation built during the wait was rewarded with a culinary experience that exceeded expectations. The standout dish, without a doubt, was the ghee dosas, a gastronomic masterpiece that added a layer of brilliance to the overall dining affair.
While the thali offered a satisfactory variety, it was the Rava khichadi that left a lasting impression with its delightful and nuanced flavors. The establishment undeniably claims the title of the best South Indian restaurant in Delhi, boasting a culinary prowess that resonates with authenticity and quality.
With a capacity to accommodate over 100 patrons simultaneously, Saravana Bhavan provides a spacious and vibrant dining atmosphere. However, a word of caution for weekend visits, where the popularity peaks and a wait of 45 minutes to an hour is likely. On other days, the waiting time is more manageable, ranging from 15 to 25 minutes, making it a convenient choice for those seeking a delectable South Indian feast in the heart of Delhi.
Best authentic South Indian Food in Delhi. Their chutneys and sambhar are quite tasty. A bit overpriced but worth the money.
One of the staples for South Indian flavors. We went there in the morning around 9 and there was no queues. The quality of the food is amazing. The service is amazing as well. Food comes in about 15 mins after ordering. I really loved their paratha, medu vada, and badam milk. A must visit place for all south indian food lovers.
The food is absolutely delicious, maybe not the cleanest place you can visit but it is definitely worth a visit.
We had to wait quite a bit outside (maybe c. 30min a Thursday evening) however the queue is very well organised.
One of the best South Indian food in Delhi NCR. The prices could have been slightly lower.
I had Mix Veg Uttapam it was tiny but taste was up to the mark, and the chutneys were tasty.
Oh wow, it’s been years since I’ve eaten here but I can still remember just how utterly delicious the dosa was. This is a busy lunch & dinner spot for vegans hangin’ out in Connaught Place. The dosa & the chutneys are to die for, second only to the fantastic deal you get, very few rupee for a lot to eat. Saravana Bhavan, I will be back! Greetings from Philadelphia, USA!
We ordered Rava Onion masala dosai and masala dosai along with filter coffee. Everything was good except for the Rava dosai, it was not properly cooked from middle and I got a lump of raw batter of rava which I didn't like. Also the restrooms aren't clean, no one would expect to use a unisex restroom in such a famous chain of restaurants.
Saravana Bhavan offers a delightful South Indian culinary experience. The restaurant's vibrant and authentic ambiance sets the stage for a memorable meal. From their crispy dosas to flavorful sambar and aromatic rasam, the dishes here transport you to the streets of South India. The attentive staff and efficient service add to the overall dining experience. Whether you're a fan of idlis, vadas, or their delectable thali, Saravana Bhavan's extensive menu caters to a variety of tastes. Prices are reasonable for the quality and quantity of food served. If you're craving a taste of South India in the heart of Delhi, Saravana Bhavan is definitely worth a visit.
From ambience to taste everything meets perfection. But Their menu in their webiste is outdated. Don't get fooled by it . The price is definitely on the higher end ! Tried their rava masala dosa and parotta set . Rava masala dosa was too good and parotta was just average . If u go in 3 or 4 or above, even in weekdays, u definitely have to wait for 15minutes. Think about weekends!
